You never know what you might see on the golf course. Check out some of the weirdest golf shots land in strange places ever to happen on the PGA TOUR.
Both headed to the right here, Billy.
I was going to say both Brooks and Roy coming off bogey is Craig Perks.
Whose shoe is it?
I didn't stick my hand in there.
You can grab it out of your nice shoe.
Whose shoe? Mine.
Careful Sergio.
How about this?
Pretty nimble.
And we're elevating.
Those are some skills right there.
So what are you looking at? Hitching wedge?
It's. Yeah, it is.
Right there. That's the ball right there.
How can he not escape?
That's what he has to be able to do.
How about that?
I think he even took some of the bark off.
Now the escape.
Oh, yes. 9.8 on the dismount.
It's going to end up back in that same little collection area
back behind the green.
And you can see right together the two of them.
They wish that was the hole, but it's not.
Gave that a lash.
It's a powerful swing, isn't it?
Yeah, it's thrown our cameraman out.
Oops, a daisy.
Where's that heading?
Everyone OK?
Get him a cocktail.
Zip it in the hole.
They like it.
Yeah, what a shot.
There it is.
There it is. Come on.
Goal clap.
What a year this man's had.
That's a lot of clubbers, isn't it?
He's just in a smooth, high fade.
Lob it on the green.
What? I don't think so.
Maybe not.
He didn't.
There was no follow through on that one.
Oh, it hit the car path.
Oh, he's in hospitality.
Hit hospitality.
Oh, he's 50 yards up the hill.
Oh, that'll be a three.
Come on, Phil.
Go for it.
Clear the tables.
Yes. Get in there.
Guess what? I'm going to announce it.
We're going for it, folks.
Lucky.
Too much bounce, too.
Little firm underfoot.
From 289 coming right up the hill.
Did he say not again?
Yeah, it's going left again.
And there it hit the path, guys,
and it's up in the hospitality area again.
I am not kidding you.
You can't write this stuff.
The drop area was where he needed to take a drop.
It's not very favorable.
This one looks pretty good,
but it's still going a little.
Oh, great shot.
What a shot.
I'll tell you what, guys,
you can't imagine how difficult that shot was.
Some brave members of the gallery.
Stand, please.
Hold, please.
Well, this came out warm
and just right of the flag.
And I couldn't tell if it caught the,
it stands behind or not.
Billy, it's about 100 yards right of the flag and.
Well, it's not that far right,
but it is definitely deep in those stands.
No, it's it's up in the building right now.
It hit the pavement and hopped up over the building.
There's a guy up on the roof looking for the ball.
It's a white roof and a white ball.
Tough to spot it.
Sergio's tee shot has actually hit a lady on the finger
and knocked the diamond out of her ring.
Now we find the ball, but not the diamond.
Well, they say a diamond is forever,
but not today.
She lost it.
Now we're going to have to get on our hands and knees.
If you don't, can you get me her contact number
or something, please?
Thanks.
Oh, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls.
Sirconian right there.
All right, back at 18.
This one's teed up for Bill Haas.
Planted by Bush.
That one's seen better days.
And night of a guy.
Tough fairway to hit.
Taking the aggressive play.
Hung this a hair right.
Clipped a little of the trees.
Literally fell straight into the pocket of a spectator.
Pretty amazing, Frank.
How does it fall into the pocket?
What's the rule?
Playing by the laws.
Where's your baseball swing?
Which pocket is it in?
We're going to get a tee on the ground
about where his foot is
and we'll try to drop it as near as possible to that.
Very reachable par five.
And this ball just squirted to the left on him.
Coming out of there.
Now watch where this ball ends up.
Watch closely.
It is a boundary fence.
It's going down.
It's actually out of bounds right now.
And it comes back in.
And it's going to end up right against the boundary fence.
And because it is a boundary fence,
you're not entitled to relief.
Now watch this.
Oh, it's a live look at San Diego Zoo.
He had to feel like he was behind the zoo, didn't he?
Just a five-wood here for Ricky.
It's hanging a little right.
Needs a good kick.
I feel like I can see an orange dot on the side.
It's on the very edge of it.
Right here.
Right here where I take a look at.
Zoom in.
Tyler Duncan's second.
Probably going to lose this to the right,
which would be.
That's the normal.
A little off the noggin, but that was,
luckily that one has already had
all the steam taken out of it.
With that whole location, you can't hit it left there.
Who is that?
Just hit my wife in the head.
Hit your wife in the head.
Good look at his upper body strong swing.
This one's looking a little left.
And bounce into the gallery.
Believe it or not, folks,
that's where Ian Woosnum's tee shot ended up.
Meanwhile, at six, this is Jim Furyk.
Thing is, he's got a relatively clean line,
and the only way he can go is kind of at 45 degrees here.
Get it right to the face of that hill.
That's a heck of a shot.
Yeah, you'll feel the pressure here.
With the lead by one, Glover.
Oh boy, this is left of the water.
Over the top.
He's only hit six fairways all day,
and that's not going to be one.
Okay, this guy can't move.
Don't move!
There we go, get him up.
There we go.
And that's why you mark it.
Normally a very straight driver.
Judging by the reaction, way left.
They are looking for Carl Peterson's golf ball.
They think it might be one of the plants.
And they found it.
I've not seen that, Frank, in my years covering golf.
It's a long pitch.
We'll just leave that.
Yep, just pick it up, move the leaves.
There's no penalty on the green.
Oh no, it started there, and it's slicing huge.
Well left.
Could be OB in play from there.
Get a signal inbounds.
And that is a good look at the tee shot of Phil Mickelson.
And he's got a left-handed club turned upside down.
He hit it.
It's in the fence.
Where'd it go?
No idea where it went.
Now it's out of bounds.
Oh, he hit it out of bounds.
Think of that.
Questionable to be that aggressive.
Five good looks.
Well, the pond on the left here is filled with wood ducks,
and that is not threatening any of them.
Prickly situation.
Couldn't resist.
Tee shot at the par three in the stance.
So there he is in the red shirt,
off the deck, over the chairs.
It's a beautiful lie with indoor-outdoor carpeting.
That's par four.
Whoa.
That's a ground rule double, I think, Terry.
Yes, it is.
One hop over the wall.
This has been on from 95 yards.
And there's that tree that could catch the ball
and not let it go down, but we'll see.
Acting as if they have identified it, hasn't he?
Because he's showing his club
straight down underneath that.
Oh, wait a minute.
Water that direction.
Yeah, there is.
Oh.
So how does a golf ball end up there?
Go left.
No.
Yeah, we talked earlier today
about maybe driving it too far.
I like this play, but, oh, this one's headed way left.
That's gonna be left of the bunkers.
If you're gonna lie up.
This is on the side of the trunk,
and it's just caught down on one of the little Vs.
Oh!
This is going down the left,
pulled and drawing a little bit.
That was a very quick swing.
McDowell's tee shot looked to potentially be in trouble
going left off the tee, and it hit Kevin Kisner's mother
and bounced back into the fairway.
Happy to say she's okay.
Ouch.
Oh, yeah, there it is, yeah.
Look at that, there it comes.
Owie.
Yeah.
That was tremendous contact
at the far right edge of the green.
Oh, wow, it's long.
Oh, he killed it.
The leather mache.
Is it really a ball in there?
There it is.
