So, you can make $10 to $15,000 a month.
It's very
simple. I get asked all the time how
commission works in car sales. And
basically, here is how. And if you're
new here, my name's Christopher. I've
been selling cars for over 10 years, and
I've been helping other car sales people
grow their careers in car sales. So, hit

Most commission structures are 100%
commission at dealerships. It's going to
range from dealership to dealership
depending on where you're at, but a lot
of them have a straight commission
structure. Most of them have about a 20
to 25% commission for their salespeople
on the frontend gross. The front-end
gross is the profit the dealership makes
when selling a car. So, if they buy a
car for 15,000 and they sell it for 20,
the front-end gross is five and the car
salesperson will get 25% of that
$5,000 depending on their commission
structure. If it's 25 or 22, whatever,
they'll get their percentage of that
five. Some dealerships have programs
where customers get or salespeople get a
percentage of the backend gross. The
backend gross is any profit the
dealership makes by selling the customer
extended warranties, finance products,
insuranceances, ceramic coating. There's
all different products. There's a
million different products that they can
sell in the finance office. Some
dealerships have like a 1% or a 3%. It
all kind of depends on which dealership
you work at, but typically you are going
to be straight commission making a
percentage off of the front-end gross
depending on your pay plan. So, if you
want to earn $1,000 per deal, you need
to make your average front end gross
$4,000 per car. And you want to have uh
at least 10 to 15 of those deals. So,
you can make 10 to $15,000 a month. It's
very simple breakdown. Now, you're not
always going to have $4,000 gross. Some
of them might have zero gross and you
might earn like a flat commission of
$200, $300 if it's zero gross. Someone
might have 8,000 gross. It depends on
the cars. Your goal is to sell as many
cars as you can and help the low ones
balance out by the big ones and have a
high average front-end gross so that
your commission percentage is based on
your average. Try to sell as many cars
as you can at the highest gross to earn
the highest commissions. That's the name
of the game. And if you want to learn
