Yeah,
we begin I think day seven. I think it
is day seven heading out of an amazing
stay in the convent of San Bento. Most
comfortable beds. I slept like a rock
for 8 hours. I slept like 7 hours which
is unheard of. The breakfast was
fantastic. We are charged up now.
Today's going to be our shortest day
thus far. We actually booked a place
tonight. It'll be the second time in a
row and probably the last time we'll do
that. But, you know, on Brook's
recommendation, so you know, we have to
follow through. And the next place is
supposed to have the best fried chicken
they've ever had in their life. So,
cross our fingers. It's still there.
Where do we go from? Where do we go from
here? This village is beautiful. People
were lovely. We did not get up for the
fireworks last night at midnight
because, as we've already covered, we
were sleeping. And there is a giant
black cloud of doom here ahead of us.
So, hopefully we're going to get away
without using our rain gear today. We'll
see.
We're on the hunt for our first shell of
the day. Buen Camino. Buenamino.
Farewell to Aguarda. What a lovely
little town. Kitty cats of the Camino.

plenty. Our first official show of day
seven. Day seven. There are so many
camper vans all along the path. It's
really cool how many people are out
during the summer just exploring this
beautiful part of the world. You want to
take a camper van, Kate? Someday. Yes.
That is the biggest shell yet. It's
telling me. Oh, Katie, just for you, we
have a bathroom. My name's Hos. I'm an
albatross. One thing tip, always try the
water before you soap up your hands
because there's lots of soap in there,
but no water. Did you get soapy hands?
Nope. I checked before. Oh, thank
goodness. Cuz there's an ocean right
there. That's true.
[Music]
Galitia. Farewell ocean. It's been nice.
Back into the hills. Started raining.
Had to put our uh rainflies on our
backpack. We're going without rain coats
cuz we're already sweaty and wet. So,
we'll see how it goes. We might change
that decision later.

Well, my title is the ender of droughts
remains intact. Everywhere we go where
they're like, "Oh, it hasn't rained in
forever. We're in a drought." As soon as
I get there, it rains. Half of Australia
can thank me for ending their fire
season. Well, at least we're walking.
Petroglyph lash de laon sounds way
cooler than the world's largest ball of
twine. Definitely worth a climb up the
hill. Celtic petroglyphs. Kind of hard
to see on the video. Can see the
indentations. Ancient Celtric
petetroglyphs in this stone. Couple
thousand years old. That's freaking
cool. I love it when history jumps out
to say hi. Well, sometimes I like the
squeaky one. I always do that right when
a car is going by really loud. That was
pretty good slo for about an hour
through the rain. We're wearing light
dry fit clothing. We kept our packs nice
and dry, but as far as us, we just
walked faster to stay warm. Worked
really well and got us closer to our
goal for the day. So Camino Delicia
never ceases to impress with beautiful
views.

Part of the time you're walking on
highways and crazy cars and then you're
just out here in this. Wow.

Epic to see the world in action. what we
can be life with no distraction. We'll
get away. This is what we waited for. We
are just coming down this gorgeous
little road into the village of Oya.
Check out that church down there.
Surprisingly, today has been really
hard. I think it's because last night we
got 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep. It
was amazing. And today is supposed to be
a short day. So, I'm my brain is saying,
"Oh, it's only 3 hours to our next
stop." And look at that pretty horse. He
is gorgeous. This is the way.

free that way. But that's our hotel for
the night. Here we go, Brooke.
This place is great. Big bathroom. Huge
room.
foam
mattress. So nice. Aw, Twix, look at
this view. Hard to beat that for a view
right off of our room with this tiny
little balcony. I want to say special
thanks to Brooke. But really, it was
Hector who wanted who loved their fried
chicken here so much that he said it was
the best he ever had. So tonight, that's
why we're staying here. Yes, we are
staying in a place for fried chicken.
Well, you know, I went all the way
across the country for beignetes. Why
not for fried chicken? I support this
message. Check out these maniacs out
there. Good luck to you folks. We're
going to stay in bed and sip some
coffee. Katie is studying the menu. Can
cook a little fried ball of ham and
cheese. Give it a shot. You ready? Oh,
good. That's one mess. That is a a roe.
Kitty got fla's really good. And some
decaf coffees. Boom. That's us for the
night. Oh my god. We wouldn't say this
down there. That food was horrible. It
was awful. The chicken was like eating a
salt. It was like eating a piece of rock
salt. And I like salt. Oh boy, that was
bad. But the view is awesome. And the
bed is really comfortable. So short day
and just don't eat here. But also now we
have our electrolytes for tomorrow. So
we're good to go. No cramps. No cramps.
High five.
See you in the morning. Catch up with us
tomorrow to see if we finally order a
vegetable to counteract all this salt.
Keep drinking this coffee. Lick the
thumbs up and subscribe. No. No. That
was good. That was good. That was good.
