Let’s make Positive Messages Albums a thing 🥰 Looking at this album has helped me get through some really hard times when I’m feeling so down about myself and I just want my friends, family, and followers to know how much their support means to me, especially in a world where social media can be so negative 🩷 okay ily byeeee #riristea #rivetsoro
I'm feeling sentimental so buckle up. A few years ago I decided to start a positive messages album
in my camera roll. It all started when I got such a supportive message from my best friend's little
cousin. I did a podcast and I was very nervous about it. I opened up about a lot of things that
are taboo in my community like getting married and divorced at a young age. I was very nervous
to do this podcast but I felt like my story could maybe help another young girl going through
and my best friend's little cousin who is so smart, kind, beautiful like she's amazing and I
watched this girl grow up from like a young age you know. She watched the podcast and that just
meant the world to me and then she sent me this text saying you know from one chaldean woman to
another like thank you for being so vulnerable. This little text made me so emotional I saved it
and I'm like you know what this is such a nice message I don't want to forget this so I started
Marlene I love you you have always been so supportive and I will never forget that. Now a
few years later I have over 500 screenshots in this album. Over the years I've just been adding
all these screenshots to this album whether it's a text from a friend, a happy birthday message or
a random comment from a person online and especially when you're a content creator you get
a lot of hate there's a lot of negativity on the internet so when you do get those positive
messages it means the world to me. I will never forget the first comment I got on this tiktok
channel. This person said I know you're gonna blow up and I'm honored to be here first and I've
never really talked about this online but I decided to create Riri's Tea out of frustration. I was
working at a huge media company that just wasn't seeing my potential. I was told I wasn't good
enough to be on camera and I knew from a very young age that I wanted to do entertainment
reporting ever since I saw Juliana Rancic on E! News so to be told that really hurt but I wanted
to take matters into my own hands. Seeing this comment meant the world to me like you know what
there are people who want to see me on camera who enjoy my content. I will never forget this comment
ever or sweet birthday messages from friends. Everyone is just so busy with their own lives so
it really means a lot to me when people take the time to write like a few happy birthday messages
you know or I have two brothers and we're very much like bros so when my brother texts me saying
damn when are you coming home I miss you I'm like dude you miss me I miss you too like stuff like
that you know even though I reply like are you on drugs dude like what do you mean and just random
comments from people online. I also have videos in this album like one time we were at my friend
Suzanne's wedding and my friend Abby took my phone and took a video and she was just like
Gravatt you're so beautiful like I love you. I didn't see the video until like the next day but
it was so sweet like I'm like I'd love that so I think we should make positive messages albums a
thing. It takes two seconds to screenshot a message and add it to your album and your camera roll and
whenever you're feeling down for whatever reason it really helps to look at an album full of nice
messages about yourself. Okay, love you, bye.
