Well, he had a great short program.
Really feeding off the adrenaline
of the crowd and the atmosphere.
Can he do it again?
This is the.
Silver medalist from the US
National Championships,
Andrew Torgershev. He's an 8th.
Oh, down on the quad toe.
Didn't quite go up enough.
Now he's got.
His second jump pass.
He got a really deep forward
outside edge into the three turn.
Think the pattern was wrong on that one.
Good man, there's the loop.
Hold on to the triple axel.
Let's see if he's been able to
regroup for this second half.
Struggling triple axel.
Should have been a big combination for him.
And you see, even on the triple
lutz he's. Can't find a way.
Can't find the rhythm.
That is a little fulfilling.
You know it just strikes me you're
in a magnificent arena like this and.
There's 13 and a half thousand people
who are supporting you yet it can be
a very lonely place when things aren't
going right and you're digging deep,
trying to find the timing,
trying to get your rhythm back.
You're on your own.
There's nobody talking to you.
There's nobody that can really help you.
You've gotta dig deep into your soul.
And try and sort it out.
Well done, Raphael.
That's that's perfect.
He said he felt really well
trained here and healthy.
Taking a look at his opening quad toe.
Comes in on the quarter,
takes a fall.
He's losing around 8 points on that element.
And here the axel free leg looked
a little wild on the takeoff to me.
Here the triple flip.
This was really nicely done.
At the end of the program,
he's fighting all the way through,
and sometimes there's no reason for this.
You can be perfectly well trained
and well prepared,
and it's so frustrating because
you have no idea.
Why it happened,
but unfortunately you learn the most
from the performances like these.
All you can do is go home and try
to make the best of.
This experience and hope.
It doesn't happen.
Yeah, the scores are relevant, really.
He fought his way through.
I I just love the character.
He never gave up.
Well done, Raphael for supporting him like this.
So yeah, it's 16th place.
So I feel for you, mate.
There will be better days.
There have been better days.
You've done so well this season.
