So hang on to your hats, the silver medalist in USA Nationals this year.
He's 23 years of age, second time for him in the World Championships.
What now for Andrew Torgashev?
He's on to the quad toe.
Set it up beautifully.
Just perfect on the combination.
Triple flip, triple toe.
This is one of the best step sequences in the game.
Just fantastic.
One of his great at the US Nationals and he's come out here
and he really has delivered on the biggest stage.
The last time he was at the World Championships was a couple of years ago
where he finished in 21st place.
But this is a completely different Andrew Torgashev.
Magnificent stuff.
And he will remember this feeling and this experience forever.
So will I.
And he's taking it in his stride. Look at him.
Raphael Aretounian there. Didn't expect anything less.
He's been so consistent this season.
Continuing to deliver.
Here the only almost mistake in this program, the opening quad toe.
Maybe too much adrenaline, but he's able to hang on to it.
Very slight minus in grade of execution, only minus 0.54.
Not on this though.
Beautiful triple axel.
It has height, distance, great air position.
And here his combination, second half of the program.
Being awarded the bonus, triple flip, triple toe.
Spins were great too, weren't they? And the footwork.
This step sequence for me, I said it at the beginning,
it's one of the best in the event for me.
It has everything, it's innovative.
He does it again.
He really has.
He's hit it way out of the ballpark, isn't he?
Brandon Fraser told me the biggest key for him is competing without fear
and when he competes, to never hold back.
Well, he didn't hold back there.
Let's hope the judges don't hold back.
80.26 or more would give him the lead.
And he's done it.
That is a huge score.
87.27.
That is a personal best score for him.
And he goes shooting into the lead and he may stay there for some time.
