Major Update on our Philippines Trip! (The Final Decision)

[Music] radio Tech hello and welcome back to another video and a very fingers crossed exciting slash nerve-wracking day because my fate we're not my fate my ability to leave the UK lies in the hands of today we were on the cruise as you guys know we hope you enjoyed all the cruise videos I think this is the first video back and we've been back for about a week now when we're filming this and I was as you guys know my passport basically expires within the next six months and we want to go to Manila we want to have a trip out to the Philippines and see our friends there have an amazing time we can't wait in order for that trip to happen obviously I need a passport that's got more than six months on so I was getting a little bit worried because basically I was going onto the website and there's this like Nationwide crisis of passports at the moment where it's taking way longer than you expect it to so I had to get a fast track appointment but there were no fast drug appointments available so I was very worried I've explained this in a previous video and I kept refreshing it there are appointments popping up in like Glasgow and Scotland or in Durham or Liverpool all around the UK but often you'd go into it and it would say that it's no longer available and there was nothing anywhere near us and I was just thinking I'm gonna have to like fly to Scotland and hope I get an appointment it's going to cost me like 400 pounds for a return flight and then this extra Fast Track appointments loads more money anyway so I was like slightly worried I honestly was thinking we're gonna have to delay the trip even further um but on the last day of the cruise I refreshed the page again and a London appointment popped up I went into it and I managed to secure it and that's where we are today we have driven to London from our town where I think it's taken about two hours we're about 10 minutes away from the parking space we've booked and if I've done my form correctly and I've got all my paperwork with me I think I've done it right it was a very complicated form and there was a booklet on how to fill out the form that came with the phone manual the form came with a manual very very dramatic and sorry about the snoring code is asleep next to me and I think I've done it right I've taken my photos for it I've got my old passport with me and if it all goes well I'm gonna be able to leave today knowing that my new passport will be with me sent to our home within the next week and then at that point we can start booking flights and getting things moving because I don't want to book anything until we've got this sorted so honestly I feel like already I've forgotten something or I've filled out something wrong and I'm feeling quite nervous if you miss the appointment or if you do something I guess if you don't do it if you haven't got any the right things you need and they can't just wait for you so you've like you've just You've Lost Your slot and you'd have to find a new one and already it's getting a bit tight so fingers crossed it should all be fine I think I've done it right so it should I'm not being dramatic for YouTube here by the way either I am genuinely I'm a bit worried um but it should be absolutely fine [Music] we just managed to park we booked with just park and you never quite know what you're going to expect what you're gonna find when you book these car parking spaces but it does mean you can usually find a parking space very close to where you actually need to go but we had to use a car lift which was very sketchy because it was super tight either side and to answer a question we've been getting recently do we still have the BMW yes we do we drove the BMW here today went really well just saw a few comments I thought I'd mention that because UCS probably driving the Range Rover a little bit more which gives us a little bit more space when we're like out with family and out as with all the gear we need to travel with but we fancy bringing the BMW up to London today and actually a good time to quickly mention we're trying out a new car seat today for Coda which is the Joey ispin 360. which has been so nice it's a swivel chair so we can just twist him and then pick him up from here which is so much better for our backs the support leg there and also I don't know if you'll be able to see but it goes into a little bit too dark but it goes into the isofix points of the car for extra safety as well that was sent to us by the brand so if you're watching thank you very much Coda seemed to have a very comfortable Journey up to London but now we've got to walk to Victoria which is about a 10 minute walk loose we've smashed this we're just about on time and this is your second time in London are you ready are you ready okay I feel like I'm in a video game to open this door we have to lift up this massive box and press oh no don't press the red button never press the red button it didn't work to off I'm not gonna pour yeah and I am confident the fact that will wash out perfectly later see look it's gone already it's gone not going to pull the rest because I want to drink this but this is 10 out of 10 for me in the event you do get wet whether you get caught in the rain or you're at the gym doing a workout fabric Tech basically allows the moisture to disperse which cools the body as it evaporates so this is a high-tech t-shirt this cooling obviously makes it more breathable as well as quick drying as well so if you're going on their long sweaty runs and you want to stop at the spot because as we're up here we didn't want to just drive all the way up there for two hours get the appointment done and then get in the car and drive home so we thought whilst we're up here we will find a nice lunch spot grab some coffee have a little walk around as it is a nice day and then head back home down South Dakota's been very patient it's still hot in the UK it's 24 degrees today which for us now I think our Philippines what we were used to out there I think that's totally gone because we are finding 24 degrees super hot right now the code is keeping cool hey what's this keeping patient okay good news today um and it was okay it took 45 minutes I was highly stressed the entire time there was a problem with my apostrophe in my name and then I was like oh come on this is going to be another problem and it's so weird some Airlines don't even let me put my apostrophe even though it's exactly what's on my passport because they say it's a weird character so how we can fix that hey get married get married if you haven't seen the channel but that would involve to marry you imagine if that was The Proposal we are engaged if you're new to the channel yeah whether or not we'll ever get married that's a hard story yeah we haven't planned that big yeah that keep it once it will happen at some point like I thought the proposal was it was like ask her to marry me she said yes great excited let's go with our lives yeah I agree no we will at some point but I don't know when that'll be [Music] come into a pub that we found we're going to go to a Thai restaurant and then we saw this apartment called Victoria Taps which we've never been to before but the food menu is insane I've got a loaded sub on the way chicken Southern Fried Chicken this has got a burrito bowl we have a diet no we're for a Coke Zero which we never we only drink water we only ever drink water and coffee and alcohol and for some reason we both fancy Coke Zero today so this has turned into quite an unexpected fun day Coda is loving life having fun in London having fun in London okay the food has arrived this is my Southern Fried Chicken sub which for reference is quite massive and then we got some chicken karaji garage Japanese style Lucy got the burrito bowl coriander they put Rocky on it so that's good perfect I know we hate we hate these bad reviews bad reviews we hate to come on the Vlog and show you guys a place we went to and say it was bad but it was really bad it was terrible it was microwave and then the chef argued with us and I don't even want to talk yeah the chefs started getting angry at us yeah and showing us microwave pots of food to prove points and it was just really bad so I'm not gonna anyway we said let's not get hurt twice we're already annoyed by it let's move on but now we're here talking about it again so let's actually move on this time first one yeah we always get asked if something's if you're going somewhere and you're vlogging and it's bad do you say it's bad we're like yes or we don't Vlog in the first place but we kind of already vlogged it so it's hard to we need to just be honest and we always say all our food reviews and restaurants and this whole Channel have always been so honest 99 of the time it's good because we've researched somewhere properly and we want to go there this is the last minute forward to it and it was great but what part is it let's try it looks lovely that's we move on [Music] all right a few days later we wanted to pick this Vlog up once we had a little bit of an update with Lucy's passport so kind of just making up a coffee it is yeah a few days in the future from when you guys lost sauce in London we're home we've had a mad few days a lot is coming up on the channel very very soon because Lucy are you here I was trying to do this whole like intro like this whole entrance thing but I got the timing wrong true yeah that point so there is going to be some a lot lots of big excited travel coming up on the channel very soon because Lucy Allegiance unfortunately didn't get her yeah so we'll just be myself and Coda going to the Philippines imagine yes look at that oh I just got lipstick beautiful oh you can't use it now brilliant you cannot use that this is the key to the world we have Lucy's new passport thank goodness for that honestly again like I said at the beginning of this Vlog it wasn't YouTube drama building it up there were times when I thought we can't do it we can't do this yet because you've got other stuff going on later lovely framing I'm vlogged for a while because you've been what I'm doing we've got other stuff going on this year which would mean that we wouldn't have been able to go until next year and that would have sucked all the stuff to do is book the flights um and we'll see in the next video when we've got some more info on that but we are going to end this video today with the lovely news the good passport news my British path hurray
