Asian Restaurant in Brighton where YOU CHOOSE What To Pay!

hello guys welcome to what has just turned out to be a sunny day here in brighton south coast of the uk where we live um almost almost where we live we live in the next town but no one's heard of our town so we also from brighton it was a rainy miserable day earlier clouds in the sky but now i'm looking at them sleeves a tumbler do i you know like this i just bought an xl all right yeah yeah yeah no that's not the look i'm going for i just bought xxl rather than excel anyway um today we are bringing you a little food video because we were on google or instagram or lucy found something there's a very interesting restaurant with love the artwork in brighton so cool walking down these streets a very interesting restaurant with a very interesting concept it's an asian restaurant as far as we know and the concept is you pay however much you think the food is worth yeah they tell you this is how much it costs us to create food to make the food and then they say you can pay whatever you want you can pay more or you can pay less which is crazy i don't know i would never do that no we would never take advantage of this but we thought we would check it out as it's so close to us i've never heard of this in the uk or any other countries we've been to places with honesty yeah but it's different in the philippines in botanies we went to an honesty store but an honesty store's slightly different because everything has a price tag yeah and they just trust you to pay yeah they rely on you to actually pay for it because there's no staff working there but this is totally different you choose how much you want to pay for the food items so we're nearly there we're going to check it out i think it's on this street we are in bond street currently in brighton heading north and we're very hungry we haven't eaten today i'm going to take you along for this little food video try some food see what the food's actually like because what if the food's bad and then we don't want to pay full price too late i think you pay the order oh do you that that's that's good that probably protects them a little bit and i don't think anyone going here would i don't know i wouldn't be bold enough to not pay a decent price so maybe it's good for people that can't afford to pay a full price and they can still get a decent meal yeah maybe i don't know what the kind of etiquette or i don't know we'll find out anyway we're nearly there [Music] okay i'm walking in to see if we can order and then eat outside [Music] we managed to get the buggy up here and this is a very very cool place it seems quite popular a lot of people in here yeah it's exactly what we thought they call it the gift of economy so they consider the food they give as a gift and then we decide how much that gift is worth when we order so yeah very interesting very varied menu as well much more varied we thought it might just be sushi but they do sushi burritos which sounds super interesting so lucy's over there have a look at the menu now then we'll order and show you the food so this is a menu here it's actually vegan so there's a lot of things that sort of says cod um but it's not actual cod or chicken we'd like this so it um it's actually all vegan which is really cool and there's a ton of different options i'm looking at this one fully loaded oh i'm really not filming where i'm talking i'm looking at this one here fully loaded but you've also got like pokeballs and you can make your own sushi bowls there's some sides as well and then this thing here says the actual cost so the staffing the food the bills prepares and renewals packaging and charity so it kind of literally breaks it down how much it's going to cost and what makes up this price just here so for me i think i'm going to get a sushi burrito and then maybe the popcorn cauliflower sounds really good with the sauce a satay sauce maybe maybe some edamame beans and they've also got sweet treats as well which look really good so and then this is the gift economy thing here so it says we're a non-profit organization what you order is a gift from us to you we let you know the actual cost which is what we need to make the food and then using our self-service till you decide the value of the gift and what you'd like to donate so it's such an unusual thing i don't know if this is common let us know in the comments if you've seen this before but i've never seen it no that's okay thank you then some popcorn cauliflower with the sweet chili some salted edamame and then the mango satay chick sushi bowl please um can we have no coriander on that one thank you cool um i think that's everything yeah oh do you have all of the sweet treats available um which one's the most popular what do you recommend yeah i'll have a peanut butter thank you perfect and you guys haven't got the allergy that's fine thank you have you been here before no but i i know i don't know so we work on something called gift economy so we haven't got set prices for our team we've got suggested costs just tap the green button thank you what's the most common thing people do people do you find people sometimes do less just under half of people do the actual cost okay and then more people will underpay yeah okay cool thank you so i'm sure you guys heard me talking there they basically were saying that um maybe just over half the people pay the actual price for the recommended price and then out of the other part more people paid less which surprised me i in my head i thought more people would pay more um yeah the order is maybe that price second place is paid less and then third places pay more so that's not what i expected i really thought i mean i think i thought most people would pay the actual price but i also thought that quite a lot of people would pay more and there's a little sign there that says about oh it's gone the process ticked over what did it say every meal pays for a tree to be planted and a child to have a meal was it so practical concept so they're basically a non-profit organisation and hopefully the food's good we can have some yummy thank you we can have some yummy food and do something good so that's good is that exciting is that good isn't that really good yeah yeah you look excited you can't have any though you can't have any changes you're singing now hello it's so cheeky just jumping in here looks insane it's delicious and it's all vegan by the way so we need to take him there kim and tom would love this yes that's true we've got some salted egg beans we've got a sort of satay style bowl here some crispy cauliflower with a sweet chilli dip peanut fudge and then the crispy chicken like teriyaki burrito oh wow that's incredible wow really salty in a good way that is the nicest cauliflower i've ever had i've never had cauliflower taste so good it's incredible sweet chili dips good as well okay next up i'm going to try this fully loaded burrito this is such a good find i'm annoyed that we've never been here i'm coming again that's insane but it's not real chicken it's fake chicken we've got some cucumbers some soy sauce teriyaki sauce sesame seeds it tastes incredible like the vegetable it has all them like classic asian flavors in the garlic the um it's a little bit of heat maybe oh okay this is dragging the bulb onto him that's going to end badly um and then the seaweed it's wrapped in as well it's delicious wow that's really good oh wow what a great spot so i'm going to try the bowl then you start eating the bowl she looks delicious oh i like the bottle we have cucumber peanuts carrot sweet potato sesame sauce or dressing edamame a few maybe there's chicken it's crispy chicken yeah i'm guessing the chicken might be tofu but i'm not sure no it's just fake chicken yeah what's it made out of if it was tofu they'd call it tofu wouldn't they not necessarily well clearpoint i don't know actually you might be right as being a good boy sat here while we're eating i'm jealous i want to be eating right now oh the peanuts look good mixture some of the rice [Music] pretty good mango uk try some of this chicken you need to get like a whole mouthful of all the flavors in one that's what the burrito does so well that's so good the satay dressing the peanuts all the beds all the flavours coming together so good ginger in there as well what a great lunch as well healthy delicious fresh for the flavor wow very happy with that just finishing off our meal very very impressed and i'm gonna try out this little pocket of peanut fudge it's actually quite a lot smaller than i thought it would be i thought it'd be more of like a dessert size thingy but um it looks very delicious wow it's a bit coconutty actually there might be some coconut oil in there that's incredible okay oh my god i can bend you over my mouth that does not need to be any bigger wow and i also love that they have sparkling water on chat for free which is very unusual i've never seen anywhere else do that okay just got the buggy back downstairs i didn't have a lift so george had to carry the buggy i had to trade coda but that's alright that's parent life um so finished
