GETTING OUR HOUSE IN ORDER

day has finally come where i really really really truly am finishing this mess tell me this isn't the cleanest you've seen our house since we moved in addie's come with me i'm gonna take her out on a little daddy-daughter date this morning [Music] [Applause] [Music] what's up guys good morning hope you're having a good week so far um i guess it's almost a weekend isn't it animals in our school yeah they are so today marin and ever having like a little field trip at the school someone's bringing in like animals um i don't know what kinds of animals but they needed a permission flip that's all i know your shoes are what in the car and the car too okay let's go find them addie's come with me i'm gonna take her out on a little quick daddy-daughter date this morning we're just gonna go grab coffee and hot chocolate on our way back home sit down chat for 15 20 minutes then head home uh that's something we're gonna try to start doing with all the girls is like on mornings of school drop off take one of them with us with me and just spend a little time in the morning with them get all right guys we're heading out but something i wanted to share that i'm the most excited about is our house is starting to come together really nicely and i can't wait to show you that i'm going to show you when we get home because we're going to be doing some cleaning today and we've already done like the upstairs looks really really good i think you'll be proud of us that's what they're gonna be doing they got some goats out here at their school and maybe some other animals for now look to the left look out the window out that way all right you ready let's go we're gonna get some hot chocolate [Music] yeah me is it good [Music] where are we going now all right uh she wants to run a petco and look at some animals real quick so although that's not on the schedule it's now on the schedule okay we're gonna go we're gonna do it [Music] look first we gotta make a pit stop at the kitty cats oh my goodness that was cute are they cute oh my goodness don't touch them might scratch you oh that one's sweet too i think that's the same one we saw last time you know i consider it but we have very allergic kids tyler especially like swells up like crazy i don't know if you saw that one video her eye was like completely swollen from messing with someone's cat at their house and then rubbing her eyes and stuff it was bad so there's a couple of our kids that are like that ain't going to happen yep come on howdy look they're hiding underneath them it's so funny all right saying let's go find the tarantulas like kids [Music] i guess they're doing their workout this morning oh here you go here's a spirit cool well that was fun kitchen's looking nice got a few bananas gotta wipe the counter a little bit that's from breakfast living room's not too bad this is where all the we still have this but this is like everything condensed i'm about to go through it get rid of a bunch of stuff some of it's already stuff we know we're getting rid of like um some of these things back here in boxes are things that need to go back to stores et cetera some blankets we're getting rid of he's getting so big he's already like two and a half months all right before i finish cleaning the kitchen danielle's about to start going through the stuff in the um dining room area let's look at our second floor let me show you this but here's all the girls rooms little mess from this morning um here's joe's room she has her bed made closets all in over her not too bad here is ev and addie's room looking pretty good bathroom looking good oh yeah and our bathroom is looking very nice check it out our closet's still looking pretty good this area laundry's all caught up doing some right now got a guitar in here down look at that tell me this isn't the cleanest you've seen our house since we moved in um the third floor i think is looking rough still we gotta get the girls to clean that up today let's check it out third floor needs some work but it's not horrible just like legos orange peels you know things like that puzzles overall though this is like a 20 minute cleanup at the most hey did you hey did you get to see your the animals today what kind of animals were they uh sheep yeah and goats yeah nice that's awesome you got to pet them two dollars two goats yes wow are they cute the day has finally come where i really really really truly am finishing this mess basically we went through upstairs we cleaned up all the girls rooms we got rid of a ton of clothes that were donating we like i cleaned out closets um came down here this closet right here used to have like boxes just stuff piled in it anytime we would have like company or something happening i'm like just throw out my closet y'all have done it too don't lie so there was like piles of stuff at the bottom and it was just not functional so i took everything out of there and brought it out here these boxes which is fine but like that's kind of what we've done around the whole house is take things and just bring it all down here then i will sort through the things figure out what needs to go what can stay what we can donate what we need to just throw away um and put everything back in a proper home in an organized way so it's a it's a big project like this table looks a million times better this is what it looked like when we left for sukkot like it we had gotten most of this stuff from my office organized but then when i came back and cleaned the rest of the house this is also where i started piling all that stuff so it's just a process but it helps my brain really like slow down focus and just do kind of little chunks at a time but in one space does that make sense like it's just easier for me to get it out of the room get the room clean and then figure out okay do we want to get out of the house do we want to keep it first day we're cleaning i caught up on all the laundry and then so then the second third days now i've had to continue keeping up with laundry and tackle the kitchen and all that and then so each day i'm kind of adding something which is fine but that's what's making it take a while too because i don't want to like focus so much attention on this that laundry piles up or dishes pile up or whatever and we're trying to like keep a baseline of tidy get the kids to help and they're less overwhelmed too you guys since i got rid of so much of their of the clothing that we had the extra clothing i'm able to throw a load in the wash in the morning i fold it at night and then the next morning they all come get their piles and put it away and so that's working really well for us as a system so there's just still some stuff from my like from my office over here and then like a lot of just papers and things that we sent home from preschool some homeschool things that we moved the homeschool room upstairs with some things that were left over down here that i need to take up um and then a few boxes that we really just threw junk in that we didn't know what to do with the last time we cleaned so that's also what makes it take a while this part this is like the last thing is that a lot of the stuff is things that i didn't know what to do with to begin with so here we are this is what i'm doing john's giving mary in a bath putting her in bed the other kids are out playing for a little bit before they go to bed israel's sleeping so i'm gonna keep chipping away and see if i can't get at least this whole tabletop clear and then obviously gotta get to some of these boxes but i'm super proud of the progress i'm making it it's not fun really deep cleaning is never fun but it's got to be done and when i can open the windows the temperature's right you know the spring and the fall perfect time to do it get that breeze going it makes everything feel fresh and light and just makes it easier you got that baby you hold that baby i love that baby so good it's all in the buttpath people hit the butt pack down they pass right out it's true okay so kitchen's clean we've got some dishes drying over there got some ningxia red that put away this is our recycling pile some chicken feed some rabbit hay and a vanity we still have to take back a cute baby boy he's sleeping with his eyes sleeping in a sweet daddy's arms this is our rv cover that just came in so we have to take it and put in the rv i got a roll of paper towels to go ahead and put in the rv to keep there some things we forgot to put in here is what you're all waiting for this is the progress update photo um which i don't even know how much you could see before but like there was stuff all the way over here so i cleared this whole area that all those boxes are a trailer hitch like a weight distribution hitch that we bought that didn't come in time so we had to go get another one put on and now we need to just return that one because the one we got that one's a better one but the one we got is good enough and the price difference between the two is enough to make me say let's just stick with the one we got it's already installed and it'll save us a lot of money there's four boxes and they're super freaking heavy uh so we gotta figure out how to get those sent back or sell it or whatever this is like a ton of progress you can almost see the whole tabletop again and then i just have these which i'm gonna go through tomorrow tomorrow is like our preparation day for our sabbath rest which we do from like friday night we have a family dinner to kind of celebrate because it's a little mini holiday each week it's amazing and then saturday we don't work and we don't like deep clean the house and we don't do anything crazy we just enjoy each other our family our friends and that's about it so tomorrow is like my last day this week to knock this out it's really just the stuff on top of the table and then going through this little pile of boxes and this little bag and the stuff that's in it i mean this doesn't look like much but i guess there is just random this is a junk drawer this is the equivalent of our junk drawer it's a box and then same thing here so it's just like the most random stuff anyway so that's like the tedious thing to do is just go through and figure out what is the stuff why do we have it are we gonna miss it where can i chuck it we're about to head upstairs i'm gonna switch some laundry over john's gonna edit this vlog so it's all ready for tomorrow so we don't have to worry about tomorrow don't forget to
