Hello guys, welcome back to a brand new vlog. I just wanted to start the vlog here, because how nice is this setting? It's made me really want a home like this, giving us a little bit of inspiration for the new condo maybe, because I never thought of these light tones. Everything's kind of like bright and aesthetic. I'm glad I wore these shorts today, because they go with it. Anyway, welcome to the new vlog. Today we are, well, we're down into Gaita. If you've seen the last couple of videos on the channel, you'll know that we're on a little bit of a road trip at the moment. And we are literally about to head out to the hotel room and head to somewhere called, I think it's Gourmet Farms. They've invited us down to try some of their food. It's, I'm not sure what to expect to be honest, but we're going to head down. It's a farm and it's gourmet. Lovely, sounds like my kind of place. Your kind of farm. Yeah, we are here at the Quest Hotels. And yeah, this is such a nice setting. We're about to head out now. Lucy's all ready. Come join, join, join, join. She's got a lovely dress on, nice bag. And we need to go because we're due there in- Five minutes. And how long does it take to get there? 10 minutes. All right, we better go. By the way, has anyone seen this TV show before? It's on this Sorry Sorry channel. It's called, what was it called? Wives of, to Gaita or something. No, it was, how do I get the info, guide? The Wives of House Two, I think it was. It was, it was, I think it was a scene earlier. We were watching it like, it was this woman- It looked like an erotic film. She was on a treadmill, like at the gym. And then she locked eyes with this personal trainer. And he just, why would you do this? He just opened this water bottle with his top off and just went- Do the face he did. He was like- Oh yeah. And then, and she was like, trying to run and like staring. I was just literally watching it like, wow, does this actually happen in any gym? Maybe. I've never been to a gym that happens it. And then they did like some exercise together and started kissing. It was very, I mean, it's only three o'clock. It's a bit early for that kind of thing to be honest. Oh, here he goes again. Oh no, it's finished. It's finished. Oh, I don't know what's going on here. She's eating sushi. This is the best TV show in the world. These are the two. It's them two. I'm like obsessed with this. This is hilarious. This is such a good TV show. It's my new favorite. Anyway, we really need to stop getting distracted and we need to leave. Yeah, it was her. Hilarious. I've just changed my top, long sleeve, because believe it or not, Togaitai is a little bit cold. Colder than Manila than we were used to. Oh wow, nice view out here. Little, nice little MX-5. We were just leaving the hotel and they chased after us and said, guys, we've prepared a driver for you. We can drive you to the restaurant. We're like, oh no, it's okay. We've got our own car. We can drive ourselves. But how nice of them to set that up. We didn't expect that. That's so nice. Yeah, we weren't expecting it. But, you know we love driving guys. And we are still. With the beast on this trip, Jose. Jose? No, no. Don't upset Jose. Sorry, Jose. Jose's 300. It looks so much like Jose. Jose's older brother. Jose, because he's like grand, like Jose. I can hear roosters. It's really cool. It's loud, isn't it? Very loud. It sounds like there's some dinosaurs in the trees or something. Yeah. It's like an outdoor seating area. Wow. That looks nice. Looks a little bit like a, looks like a little bit like the Pinto Art Gallery. Yeah, true. Are we sitting inside or outside? I'm not sure. Georgia said that this place, Gourmet Farms, was the first to introduce Philippines coffee beans to the world. And we were sat here thinking, Gourmet Farms, we've heard this before. We've had something of theirs. We've had their coffee beans, and that's what it is. We finally remember what it is. They're also all about healthy living. Cool. And they are the first organic farm. Ever. Well, not ever. Maybe in the area or something. Cool. So it's an organic farm, and I think all the food that we've ordered is fresh from the farm. And, I mean, we're sat in the middle of a lot of green at the moment. I assume the farm's behind us. Maybe we can check it out later and have a little look around. But all the menu, it's so nice, isn't it? Everything's got fresh vegetables, and it's all in big cooking pots and things. And they've got some fresh lemon and mint leaves here for our drinks. So it feels very homey and farm-to-table kind of dining, isn't it? Ah, perfect. Thank you so much. That's great. Thank you so much. It's really nice dining outside. I feel like in BGC, it's way too hot at the moment to dine outside. Here, it's a little bit, it's still hot, it's still 30 degrees, but it's like half the, it's like five or six degrees cooler. And it's just a bit nicer. So it's nice actually dining outside. Oh, brilliant. Dining outside and being at one with nature. That was the hardest can to open. It's like they've been on an aeroplane or something. Fresh lemon in that. Whoa, it's so fizzy. Look at that. My God, it's like spitting out. It's crazy. It's like spraying my eyes. I can't drink it, but it's spraying my eyes. It's going all over my face. How is that so fizzy? My face is covered in water. Great. Yeah. It's hilarious. That's the fizziest drink I've ever had. So we've ordered a variety. Hello. Nice to see you. What is that, mint leaf? Look at that. We haven't been this deep in nature for so long. Literally, George is right in nature there, look. We've ordered a variety. We've got a minestrone soup, a beef pot with truffle mushrooms and potatoes and things, like a kind of wholesome meal. We've got something called Bambino, which is right up our street. Parmesan chicken tenders with spaghetti bolognese. Lovely. Amazing combo. Yeah. And something else. I've forgotten, so it'll be a surprise. Margarita pizza. We didn't order any vegetables, but there is a salad bar, so might go check that out in a sec. Apparently they weigh it, it's one peso per gram, and you just help yourself to whatever you want from the salad bar and then they weigh it, so it's quite a cool concept, isn't it? Yeah. I mean, I don't know how much things weigh, so I don't actually know how much a salad normally weighs, but I think it's good. So we're homemade, how does it look, sir? Ooh, I love hot sauce. Very nice. Is it very hot? Yes, ma'am. Okay, good. I like very hot. So we'll taste a little. Okay. So I'll just drink it. Thank you. Thank you, this looks amazing. Wow, this looks delicious. How are we gonna get a pizza? No problem. That's fine, that's fine. Thank you. Looks great. And that was so fast. This looks gourmet, doesn't it? This looks gourmet. Thank you so much. Thank you, thank you so much. Wow. So bambino. I really wanna get in on this breaded chicken. Beef thingy, beef looks good. Minestrone, watermelon shake. This is still going crazy. Look at these bubbles, guys, it's insane. Okay, gonna try the chicken and... Bambino, looks good. The bambino, yeah. I've got the minestrone here filled with vegetables. Minestrone soup I haven't had that in years. I feel like a kid again. This is parmesan crusted chicken. This is lovely. Oh, it's so nice. I love soup. And it's not too hot to eat soup. One more? That is really good soup. That is so satisfying. Perfectly seasoned. It's cheesy. The chicken's hot and fresh. We're doing a food review at the same time as each other. Yeah, we've never done this dual battle food review. It's more interesting, I guess. I'm excited to try this hot sauce. I'll have that with my pizza in a minute. Try some of this. That really works. I've never had chicken with spaghetti bolognese, but there's some fresh basil on the top, which I'm guessing is from here as well. It almost gives it a slight pesto edge. That is... Yeah, you need to get in on this. It's delicious. Oh, there's beef in there as well. Is there? That really goes. Is there two types of sauces? There is. One for the chicken, one for the spaghetti here. Ah, the pizza's here. Thank you. All right, this is the famous elevated pizza. It's elevated now. Ooh, look at that cheese. There's the cheese. And there's fresh veg on it as well. There's like tomatoes on it. Yeah. That's a good pizza. Looks like a really nice pizza. Fresh ingredients, Parmesan cheese and mozzarella on here, I think. Mm, mm, very good. You'll like this more than I like it. Yeah, why? Strong cheese. Ah, perfect, yummy. Pass it over. They just bought over some arugulia. I can't say it. Rocket. Is that what it is? It's similar, isn't it? It's the same thing, okay. Isn't it the same family? So they said we could put this on top of the pizza to make it even more fresh. Lucy's having a slice. Nice, right? And what a nice setting for our lunch today. This is- I love how much you can hear. It's so noisy. Listen to that. It's so peaceful. Like, it's noisy in a good way. Yeah, we heard it. You know like when people play wave noises to sleep? Yeah. This is like a sleep sound. And we only left BGC recently, and we're suddenly here eating lunch at an outdoor farm. This is stuff like, that is so much more exciting for us now, post, well not post pandemic, but you know what I mean. Mid pandemic. Because we used to take stuff like this for granted, but now this is special when we come and do this stuff. This is so loud. I feel like shouting now. Is it time to try? Time to guzzle. Right, try the hot sauce. I said, is it hot? And he said, yes, be careful. Proceed with caution. Is it hotter than Philippine summer? Mosquito. That's the only thing. Wear off around here. Yeah. The novelty of the mosquitoes will wear off. Oh, you're so polite. Right. Did you try it? Oh, you're trying it. Now I'm going to be, that's a good amount, right? I'm going to be fairly cautious. I mean, if anyone's seen the show on YouTube, Hot Wings, this is Lucy's favorite YouTube show, and she wants to go on it. Hot ones, sorry. It's lovely. Not too hot. Really? That's the kind of hot sauce that doesn't just blow your head off. It's quite, you won't like that, because it's too hot. I'm not even going to try it. You should though, it's a nice flavor. I was going to say, you get to taste the peppers and the tomatoes, like the garlic, you can taste the individual ingredients in it. Right. It's not like a hot sauce that you just dab your tongue and you're like, oh, it's made my food hot. Well, they said it was homemade here. I want to buy a bottle, do you think they sell it? They maybe do sell it. That's really nice. Really nice flavor. And you can tell, I think my favorite hot sauces are this kind of color, like the orangey color. Okay, I'm going in with some of this beef. Whoa. See how soft that was? It's breaking off really nice. We've got some mashed potato and gravy. Truffle mashed potato. Truffle mash. Oh, the cricket, it suddenly got quiet. Oh, that's a good meal. That's a good meal. If you come here and you only order one meal, maybe make it this one, because as a whole meal together, with the mashed potato, very satisfying. The gravy's slightly, very slightly on the sweeter side, but still very good. I'd like some vegetables to come with this meal. That would be nice if there was some broccoli on the side or carrots or something. That would then almost be your traditional. So we've got this fresh, fresh. Is this a herb, technically? I think it's a leafy green. We've got this fresh leafy green. The guy was not wrong. This is great with the pizza. Put it in there, and then you've got like a, gives the pizza a fresh, fresher taste. Really good food. Thank you so much. Yeah. You've got that crunch now. Quite peppery, isn't it? Yeah, it also gives it a lot of flavor, the extra leaf. Extra leaf. Who knew? Every time I order pizza now, I'm going to, extra leaf, please. But we have smashed our way through this food. Delicious. Thank you. We are very full. And I think we're going to have a little walk around because it's such a nice setting here. And whilst we're out of the city, we want to make the most of it. It's a lovely time of day. And it's kind of like, yeah, a nice time of day. It's getting a bit cooler. And we can go for a little walk around the grounds here. As we were leaving, the guy was like, stay negative. And I was like, oh, at first. And then I realised he meant COVID negative. But he also said stay positive. We're just walking back up now. I'm very full. Can we slow down a bit? I'm walking too fast after all that food. And actually up here is a shop, like a farm shop, that they sell all the produce from here. If we were going back today, sorry, if we were going back today, we could buy some of this stuff here, take it back with us. They've got some vegetables, garlic, onion, some green mangoes. George, what's that? Do you know that? That is ginger, right? No. What is that? Turmeric. Turmeric? I love turmeric. Got some plants down here. Some, what's this one? Pesto chips. And this is what they told us to try, lettuce chips. Never heard of lettuce chips before. Produce here as well, like the leaves and the salads. They sell some of this in Ruston's, I think. I recognise it. Yeah. Nice. Ah, these are the coffee beans we tried before. Actually, we haven't tried their espresso blend in our machine, but at the moment, I'm stocked up with beans from Arabica. These are like more fancy versions. These look really nice. I love it. Like Philippine Eagle. Do I feel like one more coffee to get me through the rest of the day? It's 4 p.m. I don't know. This is the decisions we have to make. Coffee? How many have you had today? I've only had three. Only. Three, probably enough. Yeah, three's probably, I don't know.
