back to another daily juice welcome back to burakai we are about to leave the resort and we are headed to station three for the first time we're gonna see the white beach and i cannot wait if you're back on this is so weird it's very strange we've just been dropped by crimson and we are now walking around the area where we stayed the first two times that we came here so wow this is oh wow wait this wasn't was it a road or are we getting ourselves i don't even know if this was paved hey this area is super familiar to us wow comment below right now if you were with the channel if you're following the journey on those old vlogs if you remember our trip here where we first met mike and nelly as well i remember this road not even being paved lucy it wasn't paid the first time but basically today is a little bit rainy it's kind of bad weather today um but it is okay it doesn't really matter it just cleared the air a little bit um it was very hot yesterday and i think it's only around 26 degrees today which is actually quite cold but for me that's great because i got a tiny bit sunburnt yesterday somehow we were being so careful with the sun somehow i actually had um a little bit of sunburn on my thumb um from where i was snorkeling in the sea or swimming in the sea and i always forget to put sun clean there so it's a little bit rainy but it doesn't matter it's all good we're gonna go down and check out the whole station three area check out the beach it was very quiet doesn't it super quiet mind your step here it's super it's a little bit a little bit wet today but it won't stop us guys you know whatever the weather we are going to bring you guys vlogs that doesn't bother us at all we're british after all yeah walking down here this is usually one of the busiest stretches to the beach and as you can see there's usually shops all open as well no one there's a couple of people no tourists we've seen no foreign tourists here today so far let's see if there's any on the beach but i mean people can't come in usual regular tourists can't come into the country right now so i think it's going to be very isn't this where we stayed before the first time no no there was another one yeah that was then a small alleyway just how quiet yeah it is on one of the main stretches down to the beach i feel like normally there's a load of like um touristy shops and souvenir shops down here and i can't see any there's no knives yeah kind of crazy [Music] okay we have just lifted our shields bit easier to talk to you guys we actually just checked with a police officer here as well we asked him i was like do we have to wear shields and masks he was like it's okay just walking around the mask is fine if you go in shops and stuff of course put your shield on we thought he's the best person to ask thank you but this is wow okay i love this stretch when you look down here especially at sunset time this stretch is amazing but it's there's people here but it's quiet [Music] i learned nice to meet you okay thank you thank you so much wow look at this different here doesn't it really really really really different i don't know if you saw the weather you know it's busier than i thought it would be it's quite busy it's quiet like this is nothing compared to before okay so there's a lot a lot of people like approaching us to try and they're still doing the boat tours and selling some items and hair braiding and stuff i guess these people they've lost a lot of their income and stuff recently so now what people are kind of like local tourists are coming back then of course they want to take the opportunity to try and work again exactly exactly so it is a bit of a rainy day so we don't have that like golden sunlight you can probably tell it much nice to meet you okay it's so happy it's actually really bright here i i feel like i wanna we are wearing a hat even though it's cloudy um and i think have you filmed over here yet the mountains let me show you the mountains quickly because it's actually looking kind of spooky over there look at that it's kind of creepy it's got like all these hazy misty mountains in the distance but of course it's barack it's got that kind of charm about it i don't know this is something about how big the beach is and there's a huge stretch of oh it's if you've never been like the first time you come here yeah you're just shocked it's kind of overwhelming the actual first first ever time we walked onto this beach it was at sunset time huge amount of people here we'll try and find a vlog clip actually we'll put it in spring comes like it's something in the air at the time [Music] is [Music] wednesday yeah the sun was golden the lighting i can't describe it the sand was pristine white we came two weeks after it reopened because the whole of varakai island closed down for tourism it was the most beautiful thing i've ever seen and you've also got these palm trees that line the whole beach or coconut trees and it just looks like it looks like it's man-made it looks too beautiful to be real um and it's very it's very kind of overwhelming the first time we came here we were like whoa really like how how did this face [Music] exist [Music] wish actually just going to take a stroll along the beach and in previous trips we've actually walked all the way to the end and there's like a little rock formation looks really nice at sunset as well you can walk through actually you can walk through the rock i don't know if you still can but we used to walk through the rock and like go around this little corner there's like a little hidden secret cove but my impressions of this beach walking along right now very different to our last trip it it's less people but it is busier than i was expecting it to be because i think that now domestic travel is open it seems like it's mainly filipinos here just looking around yeah i'm pretty sure this is all local tourism which is really nice to see actually so there are people here there's a lot of people here but it's nowhere near as busy as what we've seen in the past honestly let me just flash this image on the screen right now this is what we were used to for this beach yeah there were always other places in the philippines that we'd go to for like a quieter exclusive empty private beach feeling like i remember collague highlanders island for example but this but there's something magical about this place even though the sun isn't really out today it's a little bit cloudy like there's some seaweed on the beach you can see like there's a lot of the sand is actually quite green i guess due to rain and recent weather and stuff it was really stormy last night so this could have just come up today but it doesn't matter the people here you look around everyone's smiling everyone's happy i think people are just grateful to be here everyone's still taking selfies everyone's still taking photos in the sea in the water yeah it's a nice atmosphere something magical about this place i can't put my finger on it which no other place in the philippines has we love so many other places but when you come here there's just something maybe it's personal to us because it was one of our first philippine beach trips and we obviously met mike nelly here and we had a great time we've got amazing memories of this island i think there was a huge build up for us as well when we first started vlogging here our most requested place at first for people to tell us to come to was barakai and all along here is the uh actually the part where there's loads of different restaurants and things and it's actually busier than i thought it'd be i think that a lot this is like the number one destination for a lot of people i guess as tourism is opened up i mean it does look like some places are closed yeah we're going to carry them walking down anyway [Music] so actually where we're sat now you can see how empty i can't remember before finding a stretch of beach that had no people yeah looking forward i don't see any people which is weird for barack obama it's unusual very unusual but it's so it's hot it's really warm it's really humid today i want to get in the ceiling we're trying to you can probably tell that we're trying to make you feel like you're here we're trying to describe as much as possible yeah of how we're feeling and what it's like here [Music] anyone noticed my um sunglasses holder my grandma used to have a pair of these but apparently they're back in fashion now so i like it i'm here for it i love it it's so handy take my sunglasses off they just drop down there absolutely genius so it's actually only 10 in the morning right now yeah 10 a.m so it's nice to be down here it's not even too hot today we have to it is quite humid though very humid yeah it looks like a lot of the places along here are closed yeah so we are actually going to end off this vlog here we just wanted to show you guys what it's like right now 2021 yeah we left beach we left the resort that we're at we're staying at crimson and which is actually past this where is it you really can't see that it's past this rock there it's behind that and um an absolutely beautiful resort it's got like a private beach and stuff but we just wanted to because we know this place so well we wanted to take the time today to come and see it to come and explore and see how it is yeah after a year of being pretty much in our apartment i know i've been out and about a bit but in the city in manila after so long i can't quite believe we're sat on a beach yeah on this particular beach i didn't expect this crazy yeah kind of surreal yeah surreal that's a good word alright if you enjoyed this video please give it a thumbs up
