Is This REAL Filipino Life? No Tourists In Port Barton!

and good morning welcome to another daily juice [Music] [Music] [Music] this morning and it's insane it's like coconut milk porridge with this peanut sauce but it's like it's so much nicer than peanut butter i don't know why it's different but it tastes amazing and always like fresh fruit and stuff it's really good great start of the day and the coffee here is great we are both very very excited today because we get to explore port barton today properly we arrived yesterday afternoon fairly late so yesterday was kind of just a travel day just getting here and getting sorted in our room and stuff but today we're gonna go and properly explore see what this cool place has to offer there are like zero toys to i swear we've seen like a hand for maybe genuinely probably about six other tourists we can rent a motorbike from our hotel which is great news and i think we're off to explore a waterfall and then another amazing filipino beach so we're excited for today the weather's good although there's a very very big great cloud there which uh it'll be fun and we have the waterfall just started raining we don't need to go to the waterfall now not yet let's wait here for longer [Music] [Music] [Music] so the plan now is to try and go and find a motorbike to hire and drive to the waterfall and tourists here yeah i've seen loads of people on bikes it's all good i've seen about four tourists i've seen which is probably about eighty percent of the tourists that are here in port barton um so we don't know if it'll be busy um it's kind of rainy still and the roads are pretty much just rubble and dirt so we're not sure what the drive is going to be like the map it kind of goes through the jungle a little bit really i don't know what to expect um it's probably not good idea doing it we're full of bad ideas where is this place do you see it yesterday nope i have no idea where it is this is our local water shop just around the corner of my place it's literally just a little heart and there's like vegetables and some water and some eggs basic stuff and i think the people are in there but they're asleep hello we couldn't wake them people up that was too harsh they're having a nice little afternoon nap we're going to a different shop instead check out these eggs i've never seen eggs that color found the place see if they've got a bike for us usually we treat you here to a very cinematic sequence of us riding a motorbike however it's raining have opened yet again so we need to put this camera away sadly the gh5 the cam the panasonic gt5 that we use is waterproof but the lens that we use but we've got our bike now um we're going to fuel it and then we're going to try and get this waterfall if it starts raining we'll let you guys know and get you out of our bag but until then you're standing there [Applause] [Music] [Applause] so the rains stopped but we don't need the camera out yet because the bag is like soaking wet so we're gonna just be on this phone for a little bit uh but honestly we just went through like the the thickest mud in this on this bike um and it's crazy all over the place we both had our legs down like trawling through the wheels were just spinning and then one of the locals on their bike that's probably quite similar to this one just went through quite a speed and we were there like oh sorry um so yeah you know we've got 20 minute drive now first 10 minutes seems to be the toughest i hope but i think we're kind of climbing now so maybe it might get trickier um after abort mission here we've come this far up this hill but look at my shoes this is better than it was down there i was holding onto the back of this and the back end was kicking out mud and if i wasn't holding it upright we'll just slid over so many times and a few people just walked past us and went don't even bother trying the road gets even worse up there adventure it's fine we might go to a different location um a gorgeous location it's just not really a day for it but i don't think we're going to see a waterfall today but now um to be honest i don't even know if we're going to be able to get down this hill so that could be genuinely it's like i don't even want to film it so it's like that i think we should keep the camera rolling i need all your hands i need all your help all right come on then turn around i'll pull you off like what i'll do if you lean right back i'll hold the end and keep it back but my i've got the grippy issues jet ski like water on the back all right let's give it a go why are you going in there reverse [Music] drive down really really fast that's the most stupid idea we've ever had all right go and breathe okay guys this is the waterfall we're seeing today lovely look at that beautiful waterfall we failed but you know what the greatest success comes out of failure is it where's your success here then well we didn't fall off the bike okay you can see what we mean here there's literally a car that's going down this slowly whoa oh [Music] here wow go [Music] [Music] [Applause] okay when all else fails you know what we do on this channel we get food we've stopped here this is supposed to be like the cheapest like the affordable restaurant i think something like affordable restaurant for locals and tourists in town for both local and foreign well done um so we're gonna see what they've got in there it's a bit darkness i don't know if we can film but we're gonna get some food and then we're gonna try again not the waterfall though i'm surprised we survived that we barely did this place is so cheap so i've ordered the curry um i think it might be similar to the one we had in whatever processor and that's really good and georges have you gone for fried noodles yes um which should be good we've got a sprite this is 28 pence the meals were one pound 40 these meals and they look quite big as well so it's so good like a nice little find i think and it's definitely gonna save us some money here if we come here a few more times noodles and curry so good so we've dropped our bike back off for now we're at the annual port parton battle of the bands um the first band's just started pretty good we're on the judging panel this afternoon so we're checking it out we're not sure if this is a school or if we're even gonna be in here i think it's like a village hall type we've wandered in anyway and no one's told us to get out there they're about to start their second song they're like i don't know they're like what 12 years old or something but they can play i want to get up there with them some technical difficulties at the moment but he'll be fine okay we've worked out his halloween all these things here [Music] decorations like been like ghosts down here so we've just realized this is a halloween party we're pretty sure this is a sound check for the main show tonight um everyone seems to be getting ready getting halloween stuff ready putting banners up so we might go watch sunset on the beach and then come back tonight for the party [Music] such a nice like vibe out tonight everyone's like really happy and chilled the kids are all playing and the sun's successing and it's like really healthy i've been smiling in the street it's lovely getting off the road it's friday night isn't it this feels like so much less touristy than we've been used to like it everyone's houses that are here and they're just chilling out and with their families it feels like real genuine like village life instead of maybe tourist with the occasional local this is like all over grey and love everyone that wants performances like welcome to boston everyone's smiling and saying hello everyone and like this what you can see here this is busy this is like the busiest we've seen it and look there's like off to the halloween party now i've got my uh got my costume on i thought this was scary enough without any masks or makeup no i'm not sure i'm not sure if people dress up actually because we didn't see anyone dressed up earlier but they were still getting ready for the party so we're gonna head down there now see what this halloween party's all about yes we are going for dinner first we are going you can probably guess already we're going for burgers and the reason for that is one i absolutely love burgers if you're a viewer of the channel for at least three videos you'll you'll realize that i absolutely adore a good burger like has to be a decent burger lucy also likes burgers not quite as much as me kind of chicken more than a beef and we got talking to the girl at the cafe the other night and she was saying oh my husband runs a burger restaurant on the beach you have to go here's 10 discount so we're gonna go and check that out tonight we've got a discount card burger halloween party it rained so badly earlier we're having to walk like through mud uh and we've just seen this massive puddle and we're not sure how we're gonna get i'd actually don't know i reckon left on them rocks oh no hang on oh really okay oh yeah this is dry that's right and george is wearing sloths again here we are the burger place middle of nowhere it is we've got quite a long way when it's not long where it's like five minutes but compared to everything else i can smell burgers so good isn't it and this place is similar to the place we were at earlier and we walked in the waitress was like and then like hi and we were like so it was like really okay so they ran out of burgers [Music] fuming i'm drinking we got it's fine we got chicken quesadillas lucy's got chicken burger which is like halfway there looks good we just met some really really really nice people from ireland um and they said they were going to have a look at our to see the whole village coming together and having a bit of a party the band was on we went with our new irish friends which was really cool they introduced us to their boat captain from the tour they did he like spotted them he was like hi hello hello like so i come over come over and we ended up sitting at the table with these like like five boat captains and they were just laughing they were speaking so quickly like in their language we didn't know what they were saying but they kept laughing and like high-fiving us and stuff like that so tomorrow we have a tour book we're very very excited for that we're gonna go out in the water out in the sea in port barton and see what's going on see what's going on underneath the sea as well snorkeling tour and i think there's a chance that we might see turtles tomorrow which would be very cool because we didn't see turtles in el nido thank you guys so so much for the recent comments and views and subscribers and everything like that i
