AUTUMN AT MATALAN 🍂🎃 come shop with me vlog & lounge summer sale haul

Hello, guys. Welcome back to my channel. Welcome back to a brand new vlog. I'm starting this morning in my filming room, my wardrobe room. Speaking of which, I feel like I need to do a wardrobe clear, I want to say. I've got a few things actually that I have piled up that I need to sell. I did a big charity donation, but then I've got some items that I might sell. Let me know, are you more of a Depop or a Vinted user? Because I've only ever used Depop, but if more of you are on Vinted, I might pop the things on Vinted. But anyway, that's a job for another day. Today, I'm starting this morning with a bit of a haul from Lounge because, guys, they have their summer sale on. If you know Lounge, when they have their sales, it's a kind of be quick situation. It's until stocks last, so you've got to be quick if you want something that you see that you like. All I do know is that you can get up to 60% off. Everything that I've got to show you today are in the sale, if they're still available. I'll leave links in the description box. I'll mention product names and all of that kind of jazz as we go through it. Let me just show you the box. I have got the gift wrap option. I think during this sale, their gift wrap is switched off, but if in future you want to get gift wrap, look how gorgeous this is, especially around Christmas time or birthdays for a special someone. They don't just do underwear now, they do a sale. They definitely do a sale at the minute. They do clothing, obviously, PJs, all sorts. The sale is already live. It started on the 3rd of August. I'm so excited to get in this parcel. I've just seen what's on top. One of my selects is a really nice dress. In fact, I've got a couple of dresses. I'll show you these first, and I'll try and do some trial clips and include a little inset of what they look like on me. But this blue, I've talked about and I keep talking about because I am obsessed with it. Pastel blues like this, really soft baby blue hues. I just love them. I think this one screams lounge because it's very delicate, kind of like how some of their underwear is. But obviously, this is a beautiful lace detailed dress. There is a bit of a cutout here on the mid section, and then it goes into a slightly lower back. I got it in a UK size 12. Obviously, you can go braless because it does have the lining where the bust area is so that you're not exposing yourself. It's just so pretty. There's a nice slip down the leg as well. I think this would be a really nice occasion dress. I just think that is so, so gorgeous all on holiday and evening. This is called the Isla Lace Maxi Dress, obviously in blue. And then this other dress that I picked up has a bit more of, I would say, trend cut with it having like a slightly dropped hem. And it's obviously in this cream but black polka dot as well. So I don't have anything like this. And I just saw it on the model. I think they have it in plain black as well, if you don't like polka dot, or if you just prefer the plain black. But this, yeah, I saw it on the model. I just thought it looked so chic. So anyway, I decided to try it. We'll see how it looks on me. And it's got like nice kind of ruching across the stomach. So although it is a dropped waist, I feel like it's quite supportive and flattering. So I picked up in a size 12 as well. Lounge branding there. Attention to detail is always so good with Lounge. This one is called the Polka Dot Maxi Dress in white. I feel like this would have been a good Wimbledon dress. Oh, what do we have here? Oh, we have a cozy, cozy knitted set. I've been eyeing this set up for a while on Lounge now. And the fact that it's now in the sale, straight in my basket. I love this set so much. It's so nice. I got this, the joggers in a large. Again, I tend to size up in my Lounge wear too. I'm usually like a medium, I would say. Medium to medium to large in Lounge. But I like to size up my joggers. Yeah, these are absolutely fine for a large. They're kind of like a barrel leg style with this one. Super soft, nice and thick and cozy. I cannot wait to wear this as the weather starts to cool. They're in the shade Taupe Marl. And I also got the matching top, the knitted Lounge hoodie in Taupe Marl as well. And this is practically, I'm going to say, my autumn winter uniform. Because I live in clothes like this, especially for round the house, Sunday, cozy days at home. Oh my God, I can't wait for those days. Right, yeah. How nice is this? So this one's got a hood. It's just got the Lounge embroidered, or like stitched in on the front. The Lounge is in, it's kind of in like a boucle style fabric. Can you see in the script? Yeah, really nice and cozy. Nice sleeve length. And I got this one in a size up as well. I went for an extra large with this one. For the underwear, I picked up two new sets. Firstly, from their Intimates. Their Intimates, in fact, all of my, what I class as my nice underwear, my fancy underwear. They're all from Lounge. I love them so, so much. I just think they're so pretty. So this one's called the Cordaly and it comes with this basque. Oh, so stunning. Kind of like a little body. I mean, some girls would be brave enough to cover the nips and wear this out or wear this with like a blazer over the top, you know, where the blazer just comes to there. So you can just see a little pop of, sort of like a little pop of lace popping through. Do you know what I mean? But yeah, this is just gorgeous. So very, very pretty. I feel like I need to come in closer to show you this. Very pretty lace detailing. It's kind of like an off-white, more ivory color. The hardware on this one is a rose gold and it comes with the kind of standard bra clasp at the back, but then also the button detail along here as well. So again, makes for a super gorgeous set. So I got that one in a size large and then the bottoms to go with it, you get a thong with the, again, the pretty lace detailing. I tend to get most of my thongs in large. I have some in a medium, but most of them I get a large. I like to wear mine just a little bit higher and I find them more comfortable. So yeah, this is the thong detail. Can you see that double? Oh God, it's just so pretty. So, so pretty with a little double bow as well with, in fact, there's even little roses on there as well. How nice would this be as a little bridal set as well? Then I went for the confess set, which I haven't owned this range before. It's, again, I just thought it was really pretty, but it was more so of like the, rather than the intimates range, it's just like the kind of basics range, the everyday range, but also looks really pretty as well. So this one is in black, mostly black and lacy. It's kind of like got a double layer, this one as well. So across the cup and also has the little bow detailing. Oh, it's just so gorgeous, but otherwise just plain and simple black, this set. And I think there's a couple of options you can get with the bottoms. This one is the thong that I got, which yeah, just matches perfectly. And the really pretty lace detail just comes down a bit lower, both on the back and the front. For the rest of the day today, I want to pop out with me feeling a little bit of the autumn spirit and also seeing on other people's socials. I've seen some of the stores that have the autumn bits in. I've obviously shown you in Home Sense already, but I know Next, Matalan. In fact, I might even do Next a separate day where there's a retail park that I'm going to go to in a few days' time and do that as a separate vlog. Maybe hop into Home Sense there as well because there's Home Sense. But I might go into Matalan today because I've seen they've got some new autumn bits in as well and it's next to B&M. So maybe have a little browse there and see what they've got. I feel like I need to hydrate this morning. Might grab a coffee as well and have a nice little mooch in the shops together. They've obviously still got a lot of their summery bits and bobs out for August, but I think I'm going to head straight to the homeware section first to see the autumn bits and bobs. Just have a look at some of this linen collection that they've got. They've got quite a lot of mix and match bits. These trousers are like little turn-ups at the bottom there, nice at £20. They've got the blazers. I really like this jumpsuit. I love the colour of that. How much is this one? Let's have a look. This one is at £26 and they've got this little waistcoat at 16, nice little linen waistcoat. The striped t-shirts at 11, although I'm not so sure on the one. And then they've also got that striped in the blazer at £38. I can't see any matching... Oh, I can. I was going to say, I can't see any matching trousers, but there's only one pair left. They're like a cropped capri style at £20. Oh, and then here we go. They've got this dress as well at £22. But yeah, this fabric is lovely. The t-shirts weren't nice, but these ones are really nice. Okay. This whole floor used to be home. Now it's just half of it, but I am seeing pumpkins. Firstly, this doormat at £8.50. I'm actually tempted to get that one. I really like that. And then they've got the wicker pumpkins at £10, little autumn candle display. I really like this range. I wish they've got more of this. I think the branding that they've done for this is really nice. You can't smell it though. I wonder if they've got a candle that I can give a sniff, but it's just in the scent pumpkins, I think. Lasts up to six to eight weeks. And it's the autumn farm fresh, £7 that one. A nice way to add a touch of autumn without pumpkins is a little floral display like this one. And then more neutral pumpkins, which is more my vibe. They've got that lovely wreath at £28. This cushion is gorgeous. This one's £13 and it's got loads of embroidery on it with the different pumpkins. And they've got this shape one as well. It's more of a bolster one. It's quite small though. And it's £20. I'm surprised that one is more than that one, but anyway. Oh, here we go. They have got candle, scented candle pumpkins, again, £7. Oh, that's really nice. It's quite, it's quite like woodlandy. It's not, I wouldn't say it's like your typical sweet pumpkin. I might get that. They've also got a different re-diffuser. Let me show you. Same, oh no, this is different scent, autumn squash. And they have that in the candle form as well. That smells the same to me. I really like that. That's my favourite kind of pumpkin-y smell that I've ever smelled before, honestly. And that's bold saying that, but I do find sometimes with pumpkin scents, they're a bit too overpowering, but that is lovely. Here we go. They have this one in pumpkin pie. I feel like this one's going to be sweeter. Yeah, that's just your typical. It's good though. It's, it's overpowering, but that smell brings all the memories of autumn to my brain. They also have this pumpkin scented candle in the white. It's the same as the green one, but obviously just in the white part. What else? A little gonk, another, that's a really nice display. I don't love the vase it's in, but I do really like these stems. Another embroidered cushion. I really like the tones of that one. There's a bit of like a burnt orange in there and that one's £13. Yeah. I don't know why that one's £20. It seems a bit of a leap. And then we've got a little furry. I thought that was going to be a doorstop, but it's not that heavy. A little faux fur cushion, another little display that they've brought out, um, a couple of years, like a kind of storage basket, little hurricane. Okay. I've just turned the corner and seen all of the more orangey pumpkin bits. I can see some kitchen bits as well through there. Let's start here. We have a very cute little kind of jelly cat style pumpkin cushion there. And this one with more kind of like watercolor illustrations, that embroidered one is £15. What else have we got along here? Some more wreaths. That one is pretty big. I think they've gone heavy on the cushions this year. They've got loads. I know last year they literally had one or two. Oh, and they've got these little doorstops. I thought they would have some doorstops. That is a very orange, orange. Um, I prefer that one a bit more of a softer burnt orange with the little doggie. This humongous wax melt burner. I've never seen a wax melt burner that big before, £8. And it even comes with toasted pumpkin wax melts. I kind of got out of the habit of using wax melts. Let me know. Does anyone else still use them? Okay. Kitchen section. Now we've got some hand towels in that same design as the cushion I showed you earlier. I think they've brought these out year after year and similarly with these as well. They've also got them in the green. And again, they've got the illustration of the pumpkins on those hand towels. Not autumn related, but what do you use that for? Is it a soap dish? I'd say this is more sort of like late summer with the fruity kind of trend. They've got loads of peaches and strawberries there. And then over here, more of the autumn bits and bobs. Again, they've got some pumpkin spice. Oh, that's heavy. Travel mugs. A little two pack of coasters for £4. These little tea trays, like tea and biscuits. Larger mugs. This hello autumn one is really nice, £5. I think I prefer this little tea and biscuits tray. Hello autumn with the green. And then a little kind of like spoon rusty teddy bear. And I've seen this range online, which I wanted to have a look at. And it comes with the matching, really like the oven glove at £6.50. I think I'm going to grab that. And I do like the fact that it comes with the tea towels, but it's only the one tea towel. The rest of them, or the other two, I should say, I just, I don't like them. So you're buying three tea towels where really I just want the one. I suppose you could use these for like not on display ones. I don't know. It is really nice though. Or they have this green set with loads of different green pumpkins. They have the glass placemats as well. And then again, I think I remember this from last year, £5. I don't remember this one. I think this one's new, a new design. The glass one with the little green pumpkins on. As always, nothing new here, but I do love their laundry range. I think they've just really got the branding really sleek and minimal. I think that's the key. So £5.50 for this little peg basket. And then they've got a little washable mat as well. They've got this kind of like bag laundry hamper, £5. Oh, I like these. They're not seasonal at all, but I really like, again, the branding on them. It just says The Kitchen Company, and you've got the grey and cream in three different stripe versions. If I didn't already have loads of tea towels for like all year round, I would probably pick those up though, because I really like them. But yes, I definitely don't need more for like just all year round. I like a seasonal one that I switch out every year, but just my everyday ones, I've got plenty. And then also in the kitchen section, they've got these bread bins and like canisters all with this kind of like heart design on. And they've also got these ones, which whenever I see these, they always remind me of Emma Bridgewater. Do you see what I mean with that? It's a three tiered cake biscuits and treats tin. Right, let's have a quick look at this sale bit. I love the colour of this bath mat. It's just a nice simple beige with the Bath Company on, that's reduced down to £4. I might grab one of those. They also have a shell version reduced to £4 as well. Some Easter bits, this little doormat is just £2.50. And this one is £3. A little laundry room sign is just £1.50. This double photo frame I think is so nice, that's only £3.50. And I might be adding one of those to my basket as well. I think that is great, a great price for that. They also have this laundry hamper. Tom's after a new one. This one's reduced from £21 down to £9.50. And it's that kind of like laundry service look that their laundry range has. And then it also ties up. Oh, do we think he'll like that? I mean, he probably doesn't care what it looks like. He just needs a new one anyway. I think possibly. They also have these little laundry storage baskets that you could use like within cupboards or on worktops in a utility room. These are reduced down to £3. They also have these doorstops in the sale down to £5 from £12. And they're just like a simple knot design, a bit like you get on the White Company. Any summer holidays booked, they've got some travel essentials. Eye mask, these squeezy travel bottles. Again, they've stuck with the simple aesthetic. You've got a little beach towel clips there as well. A travel wallet, travel pillow, a little passport cover. Yeah, I'm pretty impressed with these. Quick look in B&M. This is only a small one though, but I want to see if they've got that new bow range. I think there's a couple of new scents that I've not seen before. Rose garden and tropical palms. I think this one is new. Definitely summery, creamy coconut, mango and frangipani. This is my favourite one for summer though. They've also got this new range of the Lenore Outdoorables with these Italian scents, Portofino, Amalfi and Capri. I might give these a sniff and see which one I like best and maybe try it out. I usually go for just the fairy one, but they've only got a small, oh no, they haven't. They've got a large one. Right, I'll try these first and see what I think. Let's try Amalfi. Very floral. Lemon and lily of the valley. I thought I'd like that one, but it's too floral. Freesia and neroli. I prefer that one. Or Capri, gardenia and hyacinth. I think they're all probably a bit too floral for me. I might just stick with the one I know. As predicted, I think this is going to be too small of a B&M. They don't really have a big range here. So I think I'm just going to get the essential purchase for today. I have to come in here, Barney, because daddy's on the phone. Where's your toy gone? Go fetch your toy. He's given up on his toy. Anyway, I'm back home and I thought I would sit down and show you the autumn. This is full on autumn. It's full on autumn. Do you know some of your favourite walks are in autumn? We'll be going in the woods and you get all muddy, which is not so fun. That's not the fun part, is it Barney? I hose down every day. Anyway, yeah, Matalan, it's full blown autumn now. As you can see in the stores, it's just full blown autumn. Excuse the mess in the background. We are having the garage floor painted. So all of the bits that were in the garage, we've brought into this room. So we've got golf clubs, cricket bags and all sorts in there. My feet are getting a bath. My feet didn't really want a bath, but thank you. Are you tired? Are you tired, mister? Kisses. Thank you. Right, Matalan haul. Autumn Matalan haul. Yay. Do you want to see what mummy's bought? I'm afraid there's nothing in here for you. Right, the biggest thing that I've got is this. Annoyingly, when I got to the till, I could see that I had a quick look online on my Matalan thing to see if there were any rewards. And there was, but they were online only. So in store, if you spend £40, you spend £40. Online, if you spend £40, you've got 20% off. So that's annoying. But it's one of those things, what would you have done? Would you have put all your basket of stuff back or would you have just bought them all? Because then you would have had to pay for postage anyway, which say is a fibre. Anyway, I just thought, you know what, I'm just buying everything. But yes. And also some of the things online were sold out. So there we go. I'm justifying it to myself now. Anyway, a little doormat that I've got. I just got this plain pumpkin with the floral design. Last year, I think I had one that had orange pumpkins on. So it's quite nice to have just a plain, no colour one. With that little pattern, I thought that was lovely. It's quite small though, £8.50. So I'm not sure if that'll look a bit silly on our front door. It might be more of a back door, utility door. I don't know. Autumn decorate with me will be coming in September probably. So all of these bits get popped away until then. And then I went for this candle because like I said in store, this one smelt, it just smells so fresh. Perfect, I imagine a kitchen scent. And that's honestly where I tend to burn our candles most, is when the windows and doors are open, candle burning, or cosy in autumn winter, have one on the island. But yeah, how pretty is that green? In fact, that will go quite nicely in our kitchen because our kitchen island is a dark green. So yes, autumn squash scented candle burns up to 28 hours. £7, I think it was. Yeah, £7. And then I got just, I need a little bottle bag. This is just on checkout for a pound something. In fact, I think it was 99p. And then I went for this again. Like I said in store, love this design, this branding that they've got going on with this range of products. So I'm going to try this re-diffuser. We'll see, £7. I obviously smelt the candle and I liked the candle. I did prefer this autumn squash one, but it was very, very similar, just a slight bit more pumpkin-y. And then my favourite thing, and the thing that I definitely wanted to pick up was this oven glove. And this was £6.50. It's just striped on one side. On the inside, it's also striped, but like a black stripe. And then yeah, it's just got this on both oven glove ends. You've got the autumn farm fresh pumpkins hand-picked, which I thought would look lovely on our oven. And I did it. I bought the kitchen towels, tea towels, even though really this is the only one I wanted. What can you do? This was one of the things that was sold out online as well. So I wanted to go in store to pick it up. But how nice, £6.50. Autumn farm fresh hand-picked pumpkins. Love, love, love. And then in the sale, I got this bath mat. I have had, I think I've bought this bath mat before in the past. I don't know if it's downstairs in the basement or if it's up in Tom's room. I know it's not in my bathroom, and it's not in the spare bathroom. It's either Tom's or basement. Actually, possibly the basement one because we have the tiles in there are this colour. Yeah, I think I've popped it down there. But you know with bath mats, it's always good to have a refresh every once in a while. This would also go in my bathroom, this colour. So I decided to pick up the fact that this was only £4 in the sale, reduced from £12. Yeah, it's just simple, neutral, and a bit of me. Redo this throw. This is such a big throw. Where did we get this one from? Stacey Solomon, Asda. That is one of my favourite throws. It's cosy. It's huge. It covers this entire sofa, so that if this one wants to jump up on it, this sofa wasn't cheap, so we just keep it protected. But also you can get really cosy under it too, and it's massive. So it would probably be a good one over when you've got bedding, and if you've got a king size or a super king bed, hardly any throws fit over it. I feel like this is a big enough one that probably would. Anyway, I am probably going to close off today's vlog here. It's probably going to be a bit of a shorter one today, but I just wanted to stick with the main focus being a little mooch around the autumn stuff, a little sneak peek as to what's to come.
