I've turned the engine off because I think it's going to be really loud, but it's also going to now get very hot. But um yeah. Hello guys. Welcome to a new video. Welcome back to the channel. Hope you're doing well. We I think this is the first time. No, I think it's the first time that we've started the vlog as a four, as a family in a very chaotic situation. The windscreen wipers are going. Mommy's been sick. We're currently on our way out to lunch. We are attempting attempting a family lunch today, which could be interesting. Three and a halfyear-old, 3 monthyear-old, 3 monthy old, it's not what you say. 3 month old, quartery old, 32 and 1/2 year old, 28 28 and 1/2 year old. Would it be easier to stay at home and do nothing all day? Yes, it wouldn't cuz then the top tip for parenting, your house is cleaner if you're not in it as much. Very true. And we do want to go out. We want to make memories. We want to try. So, we're I We're all in the car. We're heading Where are we going? Tell the vlog where we're going. You want yogurt? You've just had a smoothie. And we're going for lunch. And you had a yogurt in the middle of the night last night cuz you woke up at 3. 3:45. Kota woke up hungry. So we sat in bed eating a bowl of yogurt with syrup and chocolate. Yeah. Interesting. But Koda, where you're not actually going to drive us there, are you? Do you remember where we're going today? What town are we going to? Uh London. Not London. Bright. Brighton. What? Brighton. Brighton. Brighton. Brighton. We are going to Brighton. Yeah, we're going to Brighton. We are attempting a little family day out in town. Little bit of lunch, some food. Lunch and food. We've chosen the lunch place. So, we will catch up with you when we get there. Yay. [Music] So, we are parked in Brighton. It takes so long. May that is a rope. So, if we get stuck in the mud, we can tie it around the car and pull the car out. Good idea. Look around. Oh, we takes so long now to get everything out and ready. Rey's just had a little fe. No, no, don't throw the rope. We're just playing trying to keep Kod entertained whilst Lucy is sorting out all the bags and the buggy. We've now got a little buggy board for Koda so he can sit on here. Um, but long gone are the days of Lucy and I coming into town, parking, going straight out. Can we catch this? I don't think we should throw the rope. You now need to give yourselves like we've pretty much given ourselves an extra hour buffer today just for sorting stuff out. Pull you along. You going to pull me along? All right. Pull me over. Are we on, guys? Welcome to Brighton. What a beautiful day. Blue skies, a little bit windy. Going to ruin the hair. I do have a haircut later, so doesn't really matter. We are heading to Bruha, which apparently in Filipino means witch. [Music] So, yes. Oh, we're very zoomed in. As I was saying, try and zoom out. This camera is amazing, by the way. It just fits in my pocket. Canon, what is it? Canon PowersShot V1. Yeah, new camera we've been trying out the last couple of months. As I was saying, we haven't been to the Philippines for over a year now, which for us is a long time. And every so often, we just get that craving for some Filipino food. So, that's what we're doing today. We're going to a place called Bruhar, which apparently translates to the word witch. So, that is where we're headed to. It's been a while since we had some really, really good Filipino food, and we thought we wanted to come out for lunch. The weather has been so nice. The weather has been so nice in our area lately and we thought let's make the effort. Get Remy sorted. Get him out. Oh, I need to put his sun visor down. Even though it's complete chaos, I'm walking through this massive buggy. Lucy and Cody are up ahead vlogging at the same time holding a massive well say massive camera holding a smaller camera out which is actually a lot better. People aren't really even noticing that I'm vlogging. If they are noticing, they're not staring at me like they do when I have the massive setup, which is quite cool. Yeah. Thought make the effort. We'll go out. Nice little day in Brighton. Half day. Maybe we'll cut it a bit short, get some lunch, get some coffee, that kind of thing, and just enjoy the sun really because if you live in the UK, you know, it doesn't last too long. And the best thing to do is to just make the most of it. There is a gum shop, don't I? Picked up my little coffee. Komodo coffee. A tiny little coffee shop. Just tucked in that door over there. Delicious. I've been saying how we've been having to get the timings right today. But this is now perfect. The restaurant opens in 6 minutes, which is time to drink my coffee. Time to all get over there. They've got an outdoor seating area, so I think we're going to treat ourselves to some alfresco dining today. And Lucy and I have been looking at the menu in the car on the way. So, we have a feeling we know what we're going to get. And we're going to actually try a Filipino dish that we've never ever tried before, even in the Philippines. We've never tried it. Me neither. How long were we over there? Or how long have we been over there for long tried? Years in total, adding all the trips up together. Um, and we've never ever tried it. So, that's the plan. This is such a nice vibe. It's We're saying we haven't been into Brighton for so long. our town that like a few towns down the road is a lot quieter and a lot smaller. And this kind of feels I feel like we've come to London for the day. If we if we went to London now, we'd be overwhelmed. We've been so used to our countryside living at the moment. We just head out into the countryside for walks and stuff and then go to our quiet town and stay at home. But we eventually out today and uh it's nice nice to be out. And this area here is actually one of my favorite places to come potentially in the whole of Brighton. There's so many good food spots here. Permit room. This place up here. This place just around the corner. Lucy and I came for brunch a couple of weeks ago when we just had Remy and we sat there in the window just here. Try and show you where we sat. We sat at that table just there. and it just looks almost like I don't know almost like you're in a different European country. So, um yeah, if you're looking for like a brunch spot in Brighton, that is the one honestly. But our focus today is a couple of doors down Bruhar with their beautiful outdoor seating area which we currently have all to ourselves. Very nice. That's because it's not open. We're still waiting 4 minutes. Do you want some coffee? And then, do you know what I was thinking for after? You know what I'm thinking already, don't you? Also in this area, one of my favorite areas potentially in the whole of Brighton, is a place called either NOS or canoes. I think the K is silent, but it's um Can the most amazing chocolate place where they sell Leave it all away. You're leaving nothing. Okay, we'll leave it to the surprise later in the vlog. All right, stick around for that. So, I just accidentally Cody wanted to try the banana ketchup. It's hot and spicy. I didn't read it before giving it to him. So, he's currently trying to cool his tongue down with grapes. Bless him. He handled it like an absolute champ. Um, we've ordered, we've gone for chicken wings. What we wanted wasn't on the menu. It's on the menu online, but they don't have it today. It's the um Paris, is that how you say it? Paris, which is like a beef dish, but instead we replaced it with another beef dish, which is sizzling taper, which sounds amazing. Like, it's like a combination between sizzling sig that you'd have on a hot plate, but it's with beef taper instead. So it sounds really good. We also got yeah honey calamanzi chicken wings and what else did we order? Lechon kali and they all come with price. Kod's got his Philippines t-shirt on. Haven't you codes? Very cool. Got mangoes all over it. And when we bought this in it didn't really fit. It's still a bit big but it works. It's nice. They've got a really nice outdoor area here. I do love rice and all these like high up uh like three sto four story houses. This is a restaurant here blaring out some cool Filipino music. Blue skies [Music] in the sun. That looks amazing. We didn't hit record, but our jaws dropped when this food arrived. Oh, I filmed all the food. Oh, did you? Yeah, I filmed it all coming over there. All right, let's kale honey calamanzi chicken wings and this sizzling beef sapple, which looks I mean the beef looks incredible and there's like a cracked egg on top. So, let's try these wings. M. [Music] So good. Wow, that's so nice. The honey is amazing. I have to say the portion sizes here are very good. So, it's not the cheapest place. The actual amount of meat you're getting is really good. This is electron. Look at that steaming hot. That is [Music] that crunch. Sorry, George. This is a This is It's always you eating first. No, go enjoy it. I do like the crunch, guys. Do you want to try some? So much flavor. The absolute perfect texture. The crunchiness on the top. The actual pork, it's not chewy. It's so soft. It falls. It falls apart. And just plain rice. Yeah. Perfectly cooked. Perfectly cooked plain rice. Nothing beats rice. I just I don't eat it enough. Not watery like when I make it. M George can't cook rest. Not on his repertoire of um non-existent recipes. Okay, Lucy's taking Remy is very much separate eating, but I need to try this. Try and get it. Try and get it in the sun. Just looks so good. I think I can balance this. Oh, that's not worth it. We bought the tripod. Perfect keys. A mixture of keys and phone as a tripod. We have the perfect angle. I now I can't get the cutlery cuz I put the camera on top of the cutlery. I'm going to try and extract a fork here without knocking the camera over. Okay. Wow. This I'm just going to go in with a huge piece of this. My mouth is watering. I'm so hungry. Oh yeah. Good boy. Swear, darling. Sorry. Well done, guys. Good boy. I mean, our food's so yummy. If you can see that smell is unbelievable. The meat itself delicious. The sauce and the marinade. It's like peppers coming in like black pepper. Vinegar kind of gives it this kind of sharpness, but also this kind of sweetness. Give me a bit. Somewhere in between sweet and sharp. Hard to explain. Citrusy kind of vibe. Delicious. So good. I'm going to Oh, if I lift the camera, I'll ruin my tripod. Lucy's getting in on that as well. Oh my god, the flavor. Isn't it so good? That's the best I've ever had. This is the best Philip It's We've had Filipino food in London. We haven't had it up north. We've had it in London, had it at some other places locally. You saw some other videos. This is the best. This is 100% the best Filipino food we've had in UK. Easy. We've been to this restaurant like five or six time. Four or five times now. That's the best thing they've ever done. Nice. Right. The seasoning, the garlickiness, the saltiness, the rich like look here. The sauce. This is what I'm talking about. This Oh, this garlic rice. Give me Oh, yeah. Garlic rice. Oh, wow. Oh, this is my tripod by the You're kind of balanced on here. I reckon this is the perfect bite. [Music] Goes together. 11 out of 10. Wow. 11 out of 10. That's a very high Juicy vlog rating. If you don't like mixing your savory and sweet, probably not for you. But the wings are amazing. The coating is so crispy. The honey, it tastes like pure quality honey. And you know the t-shirt you've got on, it's from a place where your t-shirt is. So, crunch that. Crunch it. Use those teeth. Those strong teeth. Use your hand if you want. Hold it. Really fun. So it's quite rel quite related to Electron Kali. Oh my god. I don't know if Lucy showed you guys, but Kod today is wearing his t-shirt that we got in Sibu. We bought this when it was so big for him. So, another easy Where is it? There it is. Another easy 10 out of 10 review for Bruha. Not that this was like a review. We have been here before and we know the food's good, but today I don't know if it's cuz we haven't had it for a while, but just tasted extra good. Maybe we were extra hungry. But no, that's downplaying the restaurant. That's downplaying the chefs. That's downplaying the food. It is the food. It is amazing. Is now changing all my phone settings, which is cool. So, where are we going now, mate? Do you remember where I said we're going? The chocolate drink shop. What? Should we go do that now, then? Let's go. Okay, here we are. Next destination of the day. Noops. Canoes. Noops. Don't know. Doesn't really matter because the chocolate's amazing and that's what we're here for. Although afternoons they done a play on word so it's clearly silent K. Yeah. If we also want to carry on the Philippines theme, they do have different chocolates and they do have Philippines. Amazing. Yeah. So, this isn't the Philippines because they're not doing Philippines iced and it is way too hot to have a hot chocolate today. In the winter, come back for hot chocolate. I've just tried some. It's absolutely delicious. Another top spot to try in Brighton if you're ever visiting or if you live here. But if you live here, you've probably been here already. Guys, you're uh you're forgetting the cameraman here. She had it before anyone did. Don't act like the sad one. I just like pity and sympathy. My two favorite things. [Music] Yeah. [Music] Okay. I've just dropped off Lucy, Kodo, and Remy at home. It is 4:30 and I booked a haircut for this evening because I looked in the mirror the other day and I was like, "What is this absolute bush on top of my head, bush on top, bird's nest at the back? Need to sort it out, guys." So, the plan is go and see my boy James and get this sorted out. However, today is I mean I don't know about now cuz I've been like in the wind and stuff, but when I first left the house, today is one of the days where I thought actually I quite like my hair and how it's looking, but I say nine days out of 10 days I don't. So, we're on that we're on that one day today and it's the day I'm getting a haircut. So, I'm kind of at risk of ruining it. However, it is long. It is bushy. I've also been like over the last maybe 6 months to a year. I don't even know how long, but I've been going for this like more mullet style where like leaving the back long and that is like starting to come down my neck at the moment. So, I think I'm going to get that tidied up. I'm heading in now. I just got to park. I'll show you the after, but I equally don't want to go too short because I'm always disappointed. I think I want to get short hair again and it have it more fresh and like easier to style and easier to maintain and wash and whatever, but every time I get too much off, I'm disappointed. So, I want to go kind of somewhere in the middle, but equally get my money's worth for a haircut and also the effort to go out for a haircut hours out of the day. I kind of need to come home looking like I have had a haircut. So, we will see. I'm also someone who very much I booked this yesterday because I looked in the mirror. I was like, we need to sort this out because I actually shaved these side bits myself with my beard trimmer. So, I tried to give myself a little side fade which I think I think I pulled it off. I'm a bit nervous to go and see James because he's going to be like he would have seen on my Instagram be like, "Bro, what what have you done here? What why did you decide to shave your own head with a beard trimmer?" Um, but it just kept that like slightly fresher look. Lucy and I were going out the other day for lunch and I looked at myself. I was like, I cannot go out like this. It was all coming over my ears and bushy and whatever. Yeah, I'm very I booked this yesterday. I'm very spontaneous with haircuts. I know some people um book like the same haircut every 3 weeks or every 5 weeks or whatever it is and they're very set and they keep the same kind of consistent look. I don't. I have a haircut when I feel like I randomly need a haircut and then forget about it, let it grow, then look in the mirror again. Going to try and Oh, what's this parking? Oh, that would actually be quite good. I'm going to park here. Um, then I look in the mirror and I'm like, need a haircut and try and book it for that same day or next day. But let's go and get it sorted out. I will show you the after after [Music] Okay, we are out of the haircut. Definitely freshened up. KV a little bit of the mullet thing going on. Shorter on top. Side sorted out. We were laughing our heads off when I admitted that I'd trimmed my own hair with my beard trimmer and done my sides. He was like, "You've he said that side isn't too bad." He said, "You've absolutely butchered that side." So, he's done what he can. Um, yeah, good to see James. Good to get freshened up. And then on the way back, there's a brand new bakery that's opened literally next door to my barbers. And new things in our town when they open like that, it's kind of rare and people get excited and they talk about it on Facebook and stuff because it's quite a small town. when there's something new, everyone tries it and speaks about it. So, I've been wanting to try it for a little while. Really nice looking place called Milies, I think. I think I'm pronouncing that correctly. I mean, I don't think I'm going to eat this. But, I've picked this up for Lucy for tomorrow. A pistachio cross. And in the UK right now, pistachio flavored things have just gone wild. M&S have put pistachio in everything, and it's just gone a bit viral, the whole thing. I think since the like Dubai chocolate virality kind of thing, pistachio is just the one. So, going to go home, surprise Lucy with this, get coded to bed. I think edit this vlog tonight cuz it's going on Saturday and I'm it's Thursday when we're filming this and that's the plan for the rest of the evening and then potentially go to the gym and do legs, but it's already 6:00. So, let's see what we end up doing. Just got home and Lucia's cut up some fresh watermelon, which in the summer is hot today. It's just the best thing. I think I want to talk soon in the vlog about my recent health and fitness and all the kind of stuff I'm doing because I'm so locked in at the moment. I'm kind of in the middle of a transformation, shall we say? But I don't want to be that person who says that and then doesn't show the final result and doesn't talks about the journey too much without actually having much to show. But I'm definitely seeing improvements in strength, uh, body fat reduction, muscle definition, muscle increase, but I don't think that's for this vlog. I'm not even if I'm doing a walk in the gym, like 15 20 minute walk on the end of my hour lifting session, which makes my gym session so long with the 20-minute drive there and back as well. It's like 2 or 3 hours away from the house, which doesn't work. It's not sustainable. Bought a walking pad for home. Meaning I can Oh, my toast popped up. Meaning I can reach that step goal.
