A Wild Time at Animal Kingdom - Safari, New Treat, Yak & Yeti, Pin Trading, Shopping & More!

foreign [Music] hey guys this is Jenna with Resort TV one today we're here at Animal Kingdom for a fun day so we're gonna do some rides shopping pen trading and a new treat so I can't wait let's go Kevin wants to go shopping so cute the tree is looking beautiful today it's a nice sunny day and man it's hot summer is definitely here so I am meeting up with a friend today and she's somewhere that we like to start our day off and it's this direction let's go find her fancy finding you here oh I know and I happen to have an extra coffee I mean best friend ever right here at Starbucks and wow look at this guy yeah I saved this for you hey look it matches my bag I bet and we're still enjoying Starbucks [Music] [Music] hello everybody out there at Discovery Island you may have noticed that the stars of wing encounters are already here my name is Lizzy and I'm joined with my fellow avian trainers and conservationists today we also have Kayla on and out there in the crowd with you we have Taylor and we have Keegan um we actually have two Blues on Disney plus he was on season one um episode three my name is featured to show how we train the birds here at Wing encounters now if you've never seen that episode before the answer to that question is we train them with positive reinforcement training we're talking 50 to 60 years sometimes even longer so we definitely recommend you come and see them at places like Disney's Animal Kingdom instead of trying to bring them a car into your households King I'm bringing you enjoying macaws in both Center Offspring can you release them for a while someday because as cool as it is [Music] oh my God it's so cool [Music] now this is a site worth protecting in Wild places and like I mentioned before we don't just work with blue 30 because we work with eight different species so you're going to see a lot of different shapes in your next adventure [Applause] wow all right it is shopping and pin trading time we're looking for the waffles I think they have any they're very popular vagina what I think we need to start a new collection for you copies yes I mean I do like cocktails I worked out from shopping [Music] [Applause] [Music] so we found another pin board my mom would like that one teapot [Music] that one's cute maybe you need that it's another Minnie Mouse to go with your pens set that one's cool it's a train so after uh shopping and doing some pen training we're gonna head to the safari let's go check that out see if we can find any animals bye okay we've been sidetracked we got pens and I actually found him I found two Duffy pens in the last half an hour I didn't show you guys so I have to show you here in a minute I got too excited when we sit down I'll show you what I got okay we got sidetracked again we found um a hundred year tree here glitter so cool it's a marshmallow and then a marshmallow hippo how stinking cute to see the 5 29. Pete likes children everything completely inside the truck at all times if you look above your head you're going to see an animal spotting that you are going to see no coffee over there it's a brown animal with the white striped legs and a hindquarters those stripes may make you think of coffee are related to zebra but they're actually the closest living relative of giraffes they have a similar Hood shape to giraffes if you look on the left you're gonna see two big black and white birds up there those are saddle-filled storms beautiful antelope on the left side of the truck that is a bongo they have those nice uh Twisted horns on top of their heads those horns are used to help them navigate through the dense brush of the forest the forest because they're so rarely seen by Outsiders I don't see any hippos Antelope with no horns these ones are ladies but the males have horns on their heads that can grow up to six feet long water for up to eight minutes at a time now these large great birds on the banks those are pink back Pelicans they're gray now but during mating season their backs turn pinkish in color almost as if they are blushing also if you look near those waterfalls you'll see more hippos out there oh cool [Music] all the animals on the Savannah are going to work together to shape the landscape elephants flatten out the ground can't slow above the grasses and giraffes keep a lookout for predators foreign to being around all the other animals I thought my friends look on the left side of the truck these dogs look really cute and cuddly but they are the most successful Predators on the sedan they're distantly related to wolves and domesticated dogs but your dog at home has five toes on each pot and these dogs only have photos they're named for the Sable color of their coats and they have those really long sweat back horns on their heads which uh act as a deterrent it helps keep animals like lions from trying to jump on their backs and many animals with horns and Hooves are going to use the termite bounds to file down those horns and hooks and when they become more rounded off like this one the cattle name for the people that first investigated them so long ago it's on their coats this irregular pattern is as unique to the giraffe as fingerprints are to humans no two giraffe are exactly alike looks its tongue we talked about the okapi having a long prehensile tongue giraffes have this similar kind of tongue if you look at its tongue you're going to notice it's a bluish blackish color we can tell that these are Africa elephants because one were in Africa and two they have those extremely large ears on either side of their head which are similar in shape to the continent of Africa see if we can get a slightly better view of them [Music] African elephants are going to congregate in large groups of females led by a matriarch or in loose groups of males male elephants will live with their mothers and tell their teenagers at which point they're going to go off on their own to either join a loose group of males or to lead solitary lives Flamingo out there flamingos are known for their distinctive pink coloring they get this coloring from the copious amounts of Brine and shrimp that they consume if you watch dinos can weigh anywhere from four to five there's a baby and they can charge up to 35 miles per hour now they do love to congregate in large family groups a herd of rhinos like this is called a crash you may also notice a big old mud mud wallow out there on the left side of the truck rhinos also have similar sensitive skin to elephants so elephants will use their trunks to fling mud onto their backs rhinos are going to see a mud wallow just like that and Dive Right In the Lions today their type of small domesticated folks kind of many different parts of the world this may seem very small but they are all full grown adults [Music] we got off the Safari and look there's a gorilla down here just chilling taking a little nap I was telling Ivonne when I was little I remember getting off the Safari coming over here in the same spot and there was a gorilla laying oh we just go on Lane um on his little blankie I don't know if this is the same gorilla or not but it was a smaller gorilla so cool but yeah don't miss this spot when you come off of the Safari beautiful view of the back side of the tree and now we're gonna head this way too yeah I have never been to yakin Yeti so I'm excited to give it a try so this is yak and Yeti right here and you come around this way and the door is around this big tree here again [Music] we were seated it didn't take very long at all and uh yeah we're upstairs not by the window but we're hungry so so excited and fun fact if you have a Landry's card they will see you even quicker [Music] said 30 minutes and when I said I had a Landry's guard he said okay 15 minutes and it took probably 10. so it wasn't bad at all but lots and lots of options here oh my goodness I don't even know where to coconut shrimp salmon honey chicken I love honey chicken that might be how what I get some yummy drinks over here I even have souvenir cups like Rainforest Cafe which is also a Landry's Restaurant [Music] monkey alcoholic beverages pictures so iPhone said these are amazing I can't have them because they've got cream cheese too right here bring out here's some pictures of some of the food the shrimp looks good too oh these are scallops actually yeah okay so while we're waiting on our food I wanted to show you the pens that I traded for so I got this one Focus [Music] and the cast member said it's from Hong Kong that's pretty cool and I found this one too it also looks like sailored up so excited I found two Duffy's so I did buy some pens I got Baymax I've been looking at him for a while and Stitch and Angel The Hundred Year One [Music] so we've got classy ones and these are the mystery ones so we're not sure what we're gonna get it's even a stitchy one oh right there there's stitching where'd he go I know he's on there and then these are the ice cream game and here are the different ones there's a Lilo one Baymax so many on there now and then these guys are um one pin each and their doggies are cuties they get one pen they were only 9.99 and then we got 30 off that's why we're kind of going crazy right now for this month so yeah let's uh let's see what we got your coffee first Rocky first obviously coffee's always worse and number one oh they always come in a tiny little bags okay so we have all right so drum roll please which one do you want help to get uh stitchy of course these are bigger than I thought they were going to be really cute okay all right drum roll Cheshire cats cute look at his little smile y yeah I don't know who it is oh is it the uh famous um oh it's pigment yeah yeah look there's these little horns on top oh okay okay yeah I was gonna say the horse from uh inside out but no the Unicorn [Music] oh your face I was like it was blue oh it's Hades it's Hades [Music] oh that's super cool so no stitchy no stitching but lots of fun pretty cute ones big I would say out of all these figma is my favorite um that one's really cute too I would definitely be willing to like trade at least those two yeah I agree so agreed all right so we do doggies yes all right all the Disney doggies okay so it's kind of difficult to open but I did get this one open oh thank you it's Trio it's tree it's so stinking too and I love how they've got his collar I love yeah they have like colors that is so cute all right do your magic all right oh did you get it oh yeah that's easier ready oh my goodness look at this three dogs so far dogs are our favorite this is our lucky day stop it yeah I haven't had much luck with stitchy lately though we didn't get them in the coffee cups look at you yeah so there's dogs and cats um but wow that's awesome right [Music] all right so we discovered they went in bags so number one oh Dalmatians and number two Mickey number three McDonald's check so that was a really cool okay okay it's gonna be the one I'm Nikki okay this is where this is cool because you it makes it cheaper to do pen trading with a Mystery Pack so if you duplicate it right that will be a trade oh oh do we get the same do the same pack oh no I hope not oh that's really sad oh good good okay [Music] but that's okay because we now we have four to try it that's awesome yay so those are all the pins right we're still looking for the waffle ones if we don't get waffles I might get a pack of these and see more coffee more coffees some are really cute so I've only found one more and there we found out there's five dogs and five cats so we have four dogs let's see if we get the fifth one and that would be Stitch I think oh my goodness it'll probably be a cat because that's my luck today is it a cat it's okay oh I love Figaro though she's so cute oh she's got a neat little look on her face though these are a really good quality pen like these oh I know guys and these too yeah I kind of big pens I thought that it would be a little not but they really are yeah they're really cool okay now I need all of them now you want to collect them all how many are there to collect oh yeah for six or coffees they're 16. okay total ice creams okay so you have five and six thank you so our food just came and I've only got the teriyaki chicken smells so good it's got big mixed veggies and um rice some kind of uh this is a mango salsa oh that was good the black and chicken breast and then and then lime rice okay I got the honey chicken with brown rice it's really good as well I'll let you know the chicken is amazing the honey is really good the honey with the batter on it it's delicious super tender very good I love it so here is the more of the upstairs dining it's a really big restaurant there here we're gonna head out now so we are all done with lunch and it was really really good I would highly recommend it um honey chicken was amazing the it wasn't spicy at all and I tried some iPhones um teriyaki chicken and it was really good too it was not spicy either very tender very moist both of the both of the chicken items were amazing and their menu was huge so there's so much more like the salmon sounded good um they had they even have lobster too and steak Surf and turkey yeah yes so I'll have to definitely go back we'll go back again and try out some other items but it was very busy so it's a very popular restaurant very very good though all right so we're gonna walk this way towards Everest we're gonna go check in the shop we're on the hunt for these waffle pens so we're checking all the shops checking all of the pin boards um but then we're gonna ride a ride and uh get some dessert here later new Dolan treat we're gonna go check that out all right we're going into the bazaar hopefully it's not bizarre the look for Sweet Pans it's also the exit of the ride oh my goodness I love the baby yum oh yeah so it's a little bit busy with everybody exiting the ride let's see if we can find our our waffles oh here's some uh lanyards you were looking for Lanyards here this will be a good one for ice cream it's all the foods that's cute good idea well we didn't find the pin board yet I think it's outside but they have a new line here check out this fun bucket hat for 39.99 it's a new Lounge July for 78 and then of course the spirit jersey to match the back find some pins oh you're giving Percy away I did but oh yeah an iPhone Duffy [Music] this board has a ton of pins so many pins I like the Tomorrowland bathroom one that's kind of fun okay so um you just never know what's gonna happen today we're just like going Here There and Everywhere we're heading into the Nemo show because it was time for it so why not I've never seen it I I've seen it but it's been years and I think they redid it parts of it since I've been so let's go haven't you seen jaws and you don't want to be the swordfish [Music] starving where am I coming honey this is where we all come in that's right this is the part where Nemo arrived at the dentist [Music] Hey kid you'll get back to your dad I've been watching you you're small enough to break us free sin has never stopped me your escape plans never work Guild but this time we got him and his lead to the ocean and speaking of the ocean Nemo's dad was still out there trying to find him but there was one big problem the mask is gone that was the only chance I had of finding my son Nemo correct hey Mr crumpy Goose [Music] there must be swimming Mr turtle is my father's name is Crush dude why don't you take it slow and you are that's your story she helped me find you I thought I lost you I saw you cool thank goodness you're safe I'm so sorry hey guess what I've met a sea turtle and it was a hundred and fifty you know that means okay [Music] oh that was super cute I haven't seen that forever so that was fun and now we're gonna go to the dino shop and the pins over there we're hoping for waffles waffles waffles we're gonna see Jenna we're not eating our pens we really no no okay maybe I'll wait for waffles for tomorrow waffle pens waffle pets oh my goodness we hit the jackpot we hit the jackpot so many waffles so many waffles okay so we have to feel for stitchy's ears before I felt for Oswald's or I felt and I thought they were stitchy but it was Oswald all right here we go okay Jenna what did we find I think we found him guys we've been feeling all the bags just like wishables so and an awesome cast member was helping us out here we go here we go problem is they're in bags and back I'm gonna pick the one out that I think [Music] stealing all of them oh thank you this one is blue um he's cute okay hang on I'm gonna put mine right here cute all right thank you okay we've got three more [Music] [Applause] oh my goodness [Applause] I'm so happy all right we gotta open yeah we do unless I'm in the way oh we have Jack Skellington for the treasure pack we got all different ones no dude they're cute [Applause] the stitchy has been found we found the pin board next to this big pin truck here from the time [Music] none I have to have though I don't think so these are pins of Extinction so you can't buy them you can't sell them they're old pens so these are from 98 to 2018 the 20th anniversary these are Minnie Mouse main attraction ears these were from 2020.
