The epic conclusion of our dual sport motorcycle exploring adventure on the logging roads of the Willamette National Forest near Cascadia, Oregon. In this, the thrilling conclusion of our adventure riding our off road motorcycles, we discover yet another beautiful waterfall, do a few steep hill climbs, discuss the merits of various camping spots, and I get a stick stuck in my leg, sort of.
Previously on Lost. We're out today exploring in the woods. That looks like a
washing machine. Look at that waterfall. I'm gonna get really good at turning
around today. I thought you were getting really good at turning around today.
Wow, this is loose as hell. Alright, well we're gonna stop for a little snack.
He doesn't want you to see his beautiful face. Nice. This is what I'm talking about people.
This ---- is unacceptable. The kitchen and here we have the master suite up there in
the corner. Oh, it's the same waterfall. We're on top of it. Dude, oh my god, that's
awesome. Is this duck band abandoning me? I would camp here. I'd like more
flat ground, but at least there's some. Now I'm good.
And now the conclusion. Now I'm good. Yeah, I want to get a better look at this
uphill corner. Yeah. It might even be a low four kind of situation. I had, I was
too, I was too occupied by making sure I didn't crash. Yeah. To really pay
attention. There's your waterfall again. Isn't it, is it? I got into a weird hole.
Dirty. Oh yeah, this is totally it. Doesn't look too bad from this angle.
How's that spot? This spot right there and we should have the clearance for that. Oh, no,
that's not too bad. Yeah, that's not too bad. I've done worse than that in my
tundra. It just was weird to hit the hole on the way up when I wasn't expecting it.
Yeah, beautiful mossy forest of Endor over there. Whoa, sideways. That's interesting. The MT-21s are
supposed to not wash out. It's got, and they've never done this, but this bad I've
been in worse mud. It's got to be because they're so fully inflated. Could be.
They're usually running like 12 psi in stuff like this or like 10. Right now I'm
at 25. Yeah, hit it. This is a Forest Service road even. It might go through to
somewhere. Number. That might be the one that goes over the bridge. Or the bridge
goes over. Pretty good water flow right there. Yeah, yeah, you're right. You're
right. Probably is. Oh, hey, goggles just saved me from an eye whipping. Huh? Do you
think it's the same creek? No. This looks a lot like that bridge we've been on a
few times. This looks like a spot I can get off my bike without falling over. Let's hope. Although, don't fall into the creek. You can avoid it.
There's a gate right there. What does that say? I'm gonna look. Road closed to avoid
disturbance to wildlife. Really? What wildlife is out here? I don't know. That is protected.
They probably don't want us camping up there either. We're not even supposed to be
riding it. Yeah. Some Forest Service guy probably saw two elk humping down there
or something. Huh? Elk humping ground. Closed to the public. Only I can sit and watch them.
Check out this one. Yeah, that's your road right there. There we go. There you go.
That's way cooler. Oh, ----. What have we here? I definitely got my boot wet.
Ah, the worst part is, there was a tree. I couldn't even see it go through it. Get you on the way back.
Well, this gets a little heinous car-wise, but that's enough to dissuade people that don't know what's up here.
That's a good thing. Somebody had a chainsaw out right there. Nice. This is gonna end soon, right?
Got to. Tell me what's around that corner. I'm turning around. Alrighty then. If I can.
This is not a great spot for me to turn around.
It seems to be muddy right here. This used to be a road, I think. That's a good one. Big hill first.
So, no camping spots here, but this is a fun road. Yeah. I'm gonna take the wimpy way out.
Doesn't look as bad from this side. You definitely went down the other way. Yeah, I did.
Holy ----. Look at my... Can you look in your mirror? Look at my right leg. We should probably stop.
Like, look at it. Apparently I'm the dude that got that thing stuck in his foot.
Holy ----, it was in there. I yanked that right out. Huh. Hilarious.
It was a big stick stuck between my foot peg and the motorcycle.
Oh, that was a lot of water. Testing the waterproofing of my boots.
Oh, yeah. I feel a little tingle. A little trickle. Oh, yeah. Mine too.
That's a fun little side road. These little side roads are interesting. I like it.
Oop. That was my face. Back on the main drag.
Do you remember when that kid pulled up to us when we were eating lunch on that quad and his chain fell off?
Yes. And he, like, spiked his helmet in anger? Yes.
What did he say? It was really funny coming out of such a small person.
Yeah, I don't remember, but it was definitely... I remember being... trying not to laugh too hard until they left.
I think I could ride down this on the last number. I just won't because I don't want to, like, show off.
That was a cool waterfall you just drove past. I caught a glimpse of it.
There's your bridge. Kick-ass bridge. I want to get a down-the-bridge shot, maybe.
That would be a good camera. Good picture.
There's that other beautiful waterfall. Holy hell, it goes way up there. It's wonderful looking.
Rockfall hazard. That's always fun. It would make for a really good video. Like, I'd get a million hits.
Yeah. But you'd be dead, so... I don't know if it's worth it.
This part's always a little sketch because the rock is closed for a while because of all the rocks falling.
Yeah, because it makes me a little anxious. I just want to get through it as quickly as possible.
I like this one. Have we been up this one? No, but I've looked at it a bunch of times and been like, we should go up that one.
No, we should go up this one. Today's our day. We can go.
That's deep. That's the landing area.
AKA campsite number one. Oh, man.
You're not screwing around right now. Holy ----, this is the worst thing we've ridden.
Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. I don't know how much further it goes like that, but we'll find out.
I guess, yeah. It's just a bunch of garbage again. Now, this is a trail.
It stops right here. All right, well, then I'm going to watch you come down and get good footage.
That was a fun little climb. That was, like, trail worthy.
We just went up. I was, like, thinking about trail riding.
Is that an old tent? What is that? It's just a big pile of garbage.
Oh, yeah. It's awesome. I love it. Refer to my earlier comment.
Is that an old school beer can? Looks like chicken noodle soup, like Campbell's.
This is an old garbage pile. Yeah. Well, I don't know if I would want to drive my truck up that.
I could probably make it, but there's nowhere to turn around anyway. Right. This isn't a bad campsite.
Otherwise, if we were moto camping or something, this is steep as ----. I'm impressed with us.
Well, that's about how steep that entire trail at Shotgun was. Yeah.
Well, I went up it in first gear this time. That's the other thing I was doing that day, was doing everything in second and just feathering it.
Flipping the clutch for the downshifting.
All right, ladies and gentlemen, I think that's going to do it for us today. I'm going to head back and head home.
So, thank you for watching. I hope you enjoyed our off-road scouting adventure today.
Found some really, really cool side roads. It was super fun. Shot a gun.
Went through some mud. And one decent potential spot, I think, that we could actually drive up to and camp someday.
So, maybe you'll see a return to that spot in the future. Stay tuned.
So, thank you for watching. Duck Fan, do you want to say anything before we go? Yeah.
Don't take our camp spot. Yeah, don't take it. We found it. Don't take our camp spot.
I'd be impressed if you managed to get there with just this video, but it's ours.
We're going to put up like a flag, like a Dork on the Road flag. Then people can make a pilgrimage to it.
So, thank you for watching. Don't forget to like, subscribe.
If you like and comment, those interactions with the video is really what YouTube uses to tell if people are enjoying a video.
And then they promote the video harder. So, if you have time, I would love it if you would leave a comment.
Even if the comment is like, yo, comment or whatever. Definitely hit the thumbs up.
Thank you for watching. I appreciate you. So good to be back in the woods and back on YouTube.
Thank you all for watching. I must have said thank you for watching five times, but I really thank you.
And as always, please do not forget to be excellent to each other. Thank you.
