Red Bike Park is New - But the Riding around is Next Level! #mountainbiking #remymetailler #gopro

oh yeah you're just gonna coast dude nice what's up everyone welcome back to the channel for today's video i just started a trip across bc we're gonna be visiting a bunch of places the first one is the town of rossland and the all new red mountain bike park excited to check it out there has been a lot of buzz about it let's jump into the video okay on two can of worms we've ridden that once and it was good fun oh that's a sick trail that was a gap here i think oh that's cool okay lapis so it's actually a dark blue trail it's a jump trail you can ride or i guess roll all the jumps but it's uh in my opinion a little bit more than a blue trail really fun though so fun bike park did such a great job oh that was so fun dude i can't wait to see what they do up here yeah it'll be sick because the park is still obviously in construction at the first year it just opened but trail has done a great job and we can already see the fresh jumps here i know they're working really hard okay pay dirt lower this is gonna be dusty and thick i have to hang on pretty tight because otherwise i won't be able to see anything nice good as yesterday i got chair 69 as the last chair of the day yesterday yeah it was my first time on it since i've been working here we were so close one lap today okay gold digger this is one of the longer blue trail here in red mountain we did a lap that was actually a ton of fun probably my favorite lap here that was a cool trail gap nice such a fun lap it's more like a black trail for me but it's pretty accessible to everyone and it's got a bunch of really cool lines if you know it oh that river is nice it's been really hot today so we'll take whatever we can to refresh things oh skinny you missed it i did that well that was really fun i reckon i found the tree quick and check uh this one up there yeah i reckon that's the trail dude yeah so when we finish that we're gonna swap bike and do a quick rip of uh this mountain i think that's gonna be cool e-bikes coming in real clutch and check out this bridge the red mountain resort bike park has been working on a new trail so those are the two last big feature matt and i just got the authorization to put first track down it so you got that super long bridge a ramp you can roll off or you can step down it and then a big jump it's pretty close to 50 feet long so matt's gonna do a run in then he's gonna jump it and i'll follow him yeah pull the bridge too i think wow that's epic that's a lot of work to build that oh yeah you're just gonna coast dude nice onto the drop that was fun oh that's cool i felt like i went a bit slower than you but i popped a bit more it's got good grip oh it's great it's well built i like landed right in the steep spot okay let's do again that jump nice that's sick i almost went right to the end yeah sam i had to actually tap my airbrake to like drop it i was like oh this sat way too nice i was like uh-oh and that's riding really well we'll have to go back next year it's a nice climb eh yeah it's fun actually especially on e-bikes everything is more fun going uphill still working out though wow cool this is epic i like the bench with the boots oh okay after a good day in the bike park we came back the top and we're gonna ride redhead trail looks epic wow that light is awesome redhead so this mountain is actually really steep it's gonna be interesting to see how that trail rides some french corner right here couldn't ask for better colors that's unreal oh wow so if you are a skier snowboarder leave me a comment with how red mountain skis because we were told it's pretty epic but i want to hear your point of view the terrain looks awesome though it's a physical track because it's a lot of little bumps wow oh it's sick yeah let's take a break i'm just gonna put some dirt on my hands because i'm sweating wow this is epic dude the trail is insane that's so good imagine like the littlest bit of rain on it it would be so fast this is cool so red is developing quick you can see there's a bunch of buildings happening and i think the resort has some big plans for winter like summer wow what a day man now it's time to check out some of the classic trails that rossland has to offer we're gonna start with flume it's a classic but unfortunately you can see behind matt it's pretty smoky there has been a fire that had just started at the u.s border so hopefully this gets under control quickly and before we drop in a quick shout out to whoopers bakery and seven summit coffee both places were absolutely amazing i encourage you to check them out and let's ride okay on to flume a classic janky trail not an easy start so this is about 570 meters of downhill according to trailforks yeah i feel like this trail is gonna be physical wow that's pretty cool yeah that was spicy yeah it's difficult yeah there's like it's just jank little catch structure it's cool man there is so much dust it's really difficult for me to to see anything nice nice this is pretty cool and skinny skinny skinny oh my god i barely made it i got worried for that piece of wood that matt lifted oh it's tight here nice that's really cool oh come on what is this thing yeah for another time you know that's not my uh not my cup of tea it's like high enough that if you have to jump off the bike that's exactly why i didn't yeah you can definitely hurt your knee i haven't dropped a foot yet and then you can keep on rolling nice that's right yourself is uh super enjoyable on that trail because it's really playful this is uh pretty damn rocky yeah we don't really have the type of terrain around squamish this is like pretty typical of the interior oh my god i was going too fast to roll too slow to pop i can't really see the ground i have to be careful so nice okay back up now barely made it wow this is gonna be insane dude wow okay cherry poppins it's gonna be a fun one we've got an amazing sunset so not sure what to expect apparently a few rock faces but uh one of the locals favorite mike hopkins which needs a no introduction gave us some uh great recommendation he's from rosnan so oh there's a drop probably should take a look oh yeah yeah better to look at it nope there's actually more distance to do than i thought i thought it was kind of a roll definitely used all the 150 millimeter of my uh of my bike oh my god yes that trail seems to have more features than i was expecting oh no worries that's sick yeah i didn't think i was gonna be uh this naughty that's sick oh as you can see i can't really see i'm gonna let some space hey how are you hey that's a really cool trail you guys have that's amazing yeah uh yeah we we ate a few but we didn't ride a trail calico berry so maybe we should uh have a look here it says there's a bunch of different lines let's look where they go i'm gonna go around you i reckon there's one that goes it goes kind of hard oh spicy onto that rock section that's uh that's really tight that's cool man we dropped a lot of elevation in no time yeah that's like a good 20 meters if not more okay i'm gonna try to ride the rock slab a bit smoother no dab no problem that corner is insanely hard the normal line goes on the outside obviously and uh there's no support and you want to commit to the inside but it's so like chunky and slippery yeah oh that was sick i don't know if i got that today i can tell you i don't have it but i can tell you i'm gonna try it yeah get it get it it's when you almost gotta know it's there i'm gonna try again carry the speed yeah get it oh okay let's go it wow that was cool okay let's go get food and uh refuel the batteries so tomorrow we can do a seven summit thanks everyone for watching that video i hope you enjoyed it
