We're in Bath with Jane.
>> Hello.
>> Set in Somerset's rolling hills, Bath is
a city of timeless beauty. Famed for its
Roman bath, Georgian architecture, and
natural hot springs. But we're here to
see our friend Jane.
>> Jane was telling us they have to build
all the buildings in town out of that
white stone.
There is a life I
hurrying to cut my teeth.
[Music]
Jane
>> said she was taking us to the best view
that we were going to see and she was
not kidding.
>> Wow.
>> The narrow boats that people live on,
which is so cool. We should get an
Airbnb in one of those.
>> And now we begin dinner at Lovely Jane's
estate.
>> Of course, one of the highlights for
Katie were the crows outside of our
window. She thought they were visiting.
I thought they were planning to kidnap
us.
>> I'll be back. It's been by the train
station to get our reservation. So
hopefully we get some nice seats on the
way to London today cuz the trains have
been a little bit packed and crazy. Bath
is crazy beautiful. Would love to come
back here and see the Roman baths. We
don't have time unfortunately. 50 bucks
to get in. So spend the day. Very
impressed with this little town.
>> But the feeling is all gone.
[Music]
All aboard.
>> Oh, such a lovely time with Jane. And
now we are off to London. Not as nice as
some of the other ones, but got to work.
>> And while this isn't Katie's first time
being in London, as some of you will
remember, this will be her first time
seeing it.
>> Yep. First time. We found home for the
night. I'm trying to stay awake. I have
8 hours.
>> Let's go down and see some stuff. Anna,
keep us awake.
>> We'll know tomorrow.
>> Welcome to Europe. I would say we're
headed back to the UK, but we never
left.
>> That was a comfortable bed. I don't
regret that for
>> We are staying in London's Hammersmith
area. Beautiful area to walk around. So,
let's get to it.
>> I hung desperately.
The other ring on my wrist is golding.
[Music]
>> Court Park is one of the hidden gems of
West London.
>> Is that so?
It is rumored that green parakeetses
line the trees. We shall see.
>> Pigeons here are freaking huge.
>> And then they have the
>> big ones.
>> Keeping with our honest reviews, Raven
Court Park is fine. It's pretty. Not
sure that I'd go so far as to say hidden
gem of West London. Think that's quite a
bit of a stretch. Bad intel.
>> You ready to eat? You look dead.
>> We're going to head to Spice Grills.
It's the highest rated place around here
for Indian food.
>> And we have a cool view just hanging out
waiting for our food.
We got some mango chutney. They're
definitely starting out good.
>> That is burger.
>> Vegetable pakora.
>> That's probably one of the best I've
had.
>> We had a lot of Indian food at this
point. That's a bold statement.
>> She has curry sauce on it.
>> Nice.
That's barely the beginning. Chicken
tikka masala and lamb curry.
>> These are fantastic.
>> Smoking good Indian food. Oh, and
there's your naan.
>> That is as good a Indian food as we've
ever had. That is amazing. I think we've
had maybe one place or two that were as
good, but nothing better than that.
>> That was
>> Yeah, they'll be hard to beat. All of
that food was only 40 US. You could eat
there for two people for 25 bucks. Easy.
>> Yeah.
>> And which in this area that's special.
>> And I went to bed happy.
>> We are off to do Katie first tour of
London. The weather is definitely
cooperating since it is a balmy 55° and
windy. Hasn't started raining yet.
That's supposed to start in a little
bit, but we got one day. So, by God,
Katie is going to see London.
Katie sending the Tower Bridge. I'm
looking at these light posts. This one
right here that kind of blends in is
actually a chimney from the old guard
shack.
[Music]
Anybody can tour London when it's sunny
and beautiful, but they don't get the
real experience. You're getting the
quintessential London experience.
Drizzly, cold, gray, windy, and really
cool.
>> I love the architecture. The Tower of
London for many a poor queen has met her
face
and lots of other people do.
>> Oh yeah, and they have the crown jewels
there.
>> The crown jewels
[Applause]
[Music]
falling down, my fair lady.
There's just the tiniest little bit of
sun.
>> Oh yeah, look at that. Bridge is raised
up. let someone through.
Time for us to take a little break and
head in for a coffee at the London
Grind. We're going to meet one of my old
co-workers. My man is tired of London.
He is tired of life. Well, that was
fantastic. And now we're headed to
Burough Market to check out the food
scene.
[Music]
All right, folks. Welcome to Burough
Market, London's tastiest landmark. Just
a stone throw from London Bridge. No,
we're not throwing any stones today. We
don't really want to go to jail. This
market has been feeding hungry Londoners
since the 1100s. Back then, it was all
grains and fish. Today, it's flat
whites, truffle oils, and cheese wheels
larger than your suitcase. It's part
food market, part theater, and 100%
feast for your senses. So, bring your
curiosity and maybe a stretchy
waistband, and let's dive in.
>> Thanks for the recommendation on this
place, Brett. Good lord, we would never
come down here.
>> It's amazing. Best food market we've
been to in recent memory. And we go to a
lot of food markets.
[Music]
All right, Katie does it. You got to go
that way.
[Music]
Millennium Bridge.
[Music]
Kids, Big Ben, Parliament,
emergency services are very active
today.
If we were here at the right time, it
would be the changing of the garden. But
we're not, and we still don't know what
time it actually starts.
>> And we've gotten our answer. Of course,
the gardens on the way to Buckingham
Palace are just stunning.
[Music]
The gates are beautiful. I didn't
realize Buckingham Palace had gold on
it. So, this is all new to me.
Way behind Buckingham is the Wellington
Arch, the Diana Princess of Wales
Memorial Walk.
and bench sit.
[Music]
We found something special for Katie.
Stay right there. She has no idea where
we're at. All right, turn around with
your eyes closed.
Open your eyes and read what's over my
head.
>> Supermarket of dreams.
>> I do love my supermarkets. That's
awesome.
We don't have enough.
>> The next morning.
>> Yeah, it's cold,
>> but it's beautiful. Blue skies and sunny
for our last hour in London. What' you
think of London, Kate?
>> I loved it. It's beautiful. It's easy to
get around and the walkability is
amazing.
>> We went all over the place as you saw.
>> Ooh, yucky. amazing trip. Uh something
nice on the tube. It's not cheap, but
you can tap on, tap off with your credit
card or your phone, and once you hit
your limit for the day, it turns into
the daily pass, so you don't even have
to worry about it. That was really easy.
We've done our entire trip through the
UK without touching a single British
pound. We've used our phones with the
Apple Pay for absolutely everything.
We're off to catch an international
train to Belgium. Wish us luck.
Collocated with King's Cross Station.
That's us. Absolutely beautiful station
here. Everything you could need and a
lot of stuff you don't need. This was
absolutely packed yesterday. Guess it
pays to leave a little earlier.
>> A lot of steps through security, but it
was all like a little mouse maze. They
tell you to show you up 90 minutes
early, but um they only let you in about
what?
>> It's 90 minutes early.
>> Oh, 90 minutes early. So, I'd recommend
coming 90 minutes early cuz there was no
line, but this could be a long process.
>> Yeah, it took like 15 minutes today, but
yesterday there was nobody in front of
us. Yesterday, there were people lined
out all the way into the terminal. So,
>> yeah. Um, it's packed in here.
>> That's us.
>> Oh my. The Euro Star train loading is an
absolute zoo.
>> They're not really
great coaches. People use the wrong
coaches. There's just people piling up
from both ends. Luggage everywhere. No
assistance at all. Seats are nice
though. It really should have gone ahead
with the first class.
We would have got to wait in the lounge,
but they want to get
missed for 2 hours.
Of
>> course, we picked the sunniest day ever
to be under the English Channel.
>> Welcome to Belgium.
>> Thank you. across the palace
drinking coffee.
>> Click the thumbs up and subscribe. Oh,
>> no. That was good.
>> That was good. That was good.
