Hey guys, this is Jenna with ResortTV1.
And today we're here at Epcot.
We're going to check out the Festival of the Arts.
So we're so excited. Can't wait.
This is just as you walk in.
Sorry the sun is bright today, but that's awesome.
So this is really cool. I love Figment there.
He's got his little painting stuff ready.
I love the rainbows. Very cool.
So here's some more clouds and rainbows.
They're kind of like tie-dyed. I like that.
It's really cool.
Very pretty flowers that match.
Different colors.
And it is super duper busy today.
There was a long line to get in.
But that's okay. We're going to go enjoy the day.
It's nice and sunny.
And guess who came with us today?
Josh and Mr. Liam!
And Mom and Dad.
So we're going to go have some fun, right Liam?
I got my Mickey hoodie on.
You got your Mickey hoodie on?
You ready to go have fun, bud?
Wow, lots of people.
So Liam is super excited about the water.
Aren't you, Liam?
Are you excited? He was pointing at it.
Alright guys, we showed this in our live stream the other day.
But check it out. You can see it better.
The reflection is not there.
It's not too bad.
So we have old Minnie and Mickey in their cool retro outfits.
Well, they're not old, but like the retro outfits.
I guess you could call it.
And then there's some paintings back there.
And over here, because this is the art store.
Right outside the art store.
So this is so cool.
When Josh and I were kids, we took some pictures with Minnie and Mickey.
Meet and greets with them in these outfits.
So that's really cool.
And yeah, this is right outside the art of Disney store.
Alright guys, well we are going to head over to Imagination with Figment.
Because it's only a five minute wait.
So we're going to go ride that.
And here's a pretty view of the land as we're walking over.
So this is a really pretty view of Imagination here.
With the sun shining on it.
The sun feels really good today.
It's a little chilly, but the sun feels amazing.
And we're going to take Mr. Liam on Imagination.
Aren't we Liam?
He was just pointing at the camera.
Were you pointing? Did you want to be on camera?
So here we go. We're going to go ride Figment. Yay!
Okay, so it said five minute wait a little bit ago.
But now it's 20 minutes.
Still not bad, but I don't think I've ever seen it out the door.
So, we'll see how long it is.
It might be more than 20. We'll see.
So we have the Inventor of the Year award recipient.
Professor Salinchki. I think I said it right.
And then we have Brainerd.
Professor Brainerd from Flubber.
And Dr. Nigel Channing and Figment.
Alright, here we go guys.
I'd say that was about a, I don't know, 30 minute wait.
It wasn't 40, I don't think.
One of the longest times I've ever waited for Imagination, that's for sure.
That is for sure.
Liam survived the wait, though.
Good job, Liam.
So here we go. We're the next ones on.
Please don't let your imaginations run wild.
Did you hear that, guys?
Don't let your imagination run wild.
That would be bad. You don't want to do that.
Nope, don't do that.
And don't leave your dreams.
Keep them.
No, you shouldn't leave your dreams.
Welcome to our special drive-thru open house.
I'm Dr. Nigel Channing, chairman of the Imagination Institute.
Hello. On your tour, you'll see how the five human senses can help capture your imagination.
Oh, oh, can I go too?
Absolutely not.
This is one of our discoveries, the Figment of Imagination.
Yeah, I know a lot about the senses.
There's sight, sound, smell, touch, and taste.
Tastes like chicken.
Can I go? Please, please, please.
This is Figment.
Figment? I thought I told you not to interfere.
But you've got it wrong, Doc.
It's not about listening with your ears.
It's about listening with your imagination.
Now I've completely lost my train of thought.
No, you haven't.
It's over here.
Imagination, especially when pleasant, familiar smells come to you.
Welcome to the place I live up to.
Figment, this is not a good time.
It's always a good time to use your imagination.
So let the good times roll.
You win one sense.
Figment, don't.
Yeah, that really stinks.
Of course not.
The nose, no.
You know, I'm sorry, but after that big stinky little smell,
I hesitate to send you into the touch and taste labs.
Perhaps I should end my open house right here.
Great idea.
We'll go to my open house instead.
It's much more fun.
Right this way, everybody.
Figment, what is going on?
You're turning this entire open house upside down.
Upside down?
Now you're talking.
That's the best idea you've had all day.
Here's the real open house.
Come on in.
So, what do you think?
Is it me?
It's more than you can imagine.
That is exactly what I imagine.
Imagination is the brain's open house.
Oh.
Imagination is just turning your big head upside down.
Come on, Figment.
It's time to get back to work.
If you can't beat him, join him.
We all have sparks.
Imagination!
A dream indeed can be a dream come true
With just a spark from me and you
Imagination!
One little spark of inspiration
Is a thought of all creation
Right at the start of everything that's new
One little spark for the whole new
Imagination!
Liam's really loving this Imageworks.
Ain't ya, Liam?
Yay!
I don't even know what to do.
I know, there's too much to look at.
Check out this shot, guys.
You can see land over there.
It's a really pretty day today.
A little windy, but pretty.
Alright, so now we're going to head over to the Electric Umbrella.
Have a little bit of lunch.
I'm not going to eat a whole lot.
Because I also want to check out some of the food booths around here.
We're going to go have a little bite to eat here
and then go check out the food booths after that.
We're here at the Electric Umbrella
and the menus are down.
They're having some technical difficulties.
But there was somebody over here, a really nice cast member
letting us know what was on the menu.
Plus, we already know what we want.
We come here often.
Alright, so I got the cheese flatbread kids meal.
So it comes with fries and a cookie.
You've got to ask for the cookie though
because you'll get applesauce if not.
And Mom and Dad got a cheeseburger and fries.
Josh also got a cheeseburger and fries.
And Mr. Liam, what did you get?
I got a pouch.
Yummy!
I love how they try to make you be healthy.
They give you the applesauce by default.
Right, yes.
And I had to say, no please, may I have a cookie?
And then later we're going to try some food at the booths.
Alright, here we go.
Alright guys, we are all done with our lunch.
We only ate a little bit though.
So I'd still be hungry to get some food at the booths.
And guess what?
They have some live statues here.
How cool is that?
What's this one?
An astronaut.
Man, this guy is really good.
He's not moving hardly at all.
I don't know how they do it, guys.
So here's a little photo op.
Really cool here.
They got some paintbrushes too.
That's neat.
It says Epcot International Festival of the Arts.
That's neat.
And then over here, if we spin around,
there's some tents over here with some art inside.
Some really cool art.
Now sometimes you can't film art,
so we're not going to go in and take any video,
but that's what's inside this tent.
So here's behind the photo op.
Some really pretty flowers.
Here's the Epcot symbol.
It's like the Dunham Tower cover style.
Isn't that cool?
I know. I love it.
Some of the different countries.
There's the Eiffel Tower over there.
And we'll come around here and see what it says on the sign.
Epcot International Festival of the Arts.
Very cool.
There's a pretty picture there with Spaceship Earth in the background.
Very pretty.
Alright, so here is a booth.
It looks like they're doing some kind of
dyeing of fabric.
We're going to come around here and see.
Oh, artistic marbling.
That's cool.
Oh, that's really pretty.
$89 for the experience.
Looks really neat though.
Make your own scarf. Cool.
And there's some more art over here.
Again, I don't know how much I can film,
but that's what's in this tent right here.
Pretty shot over here.
Okay, so here is one of the first booths.
Decadent Delight.
So let's see what they have.
We all know I love dessert.
Okay, I think I might have to try the s'mores tart.
Yep, I think I'm going to have to get that, guys.
Alright guys, so here is our s'mores tart.
Oh my goodness, this looks delicious.
Check that out.
Cannot wait to try it.
I think it said it was like marshmallow meringue or something on top.
Alright, we're going to give it a try, guys.
And again, this was from Decadent Delight.
Alright guys, I'm going to give it a try.
I'm going to try a little bit of this meringue here.
I'm going to be switching that like every day.
It tastes like some meringues that we've gotten in France.
That's good.
Okay, a little bit of this.
It's good. It's chocolaty. I can taste a little bit.
I think it would be better if it was warm.
But it's good. It's chocolate.
You can't go wrong, right?
So check this out, guys.
This is just so cool.
So it's like paint by number.
And you get a little paintbrush and a little bit of paint.
And they give you a couple squares, I think, to paint.
We're going to try it. I'm going to see how long the line is.
It's over here in this little tent.
Oh, the line's not bad, I don't think.
And it's free with admission.
So it doesn't cost extra.
So we're going to go try to paint.
Here we go.
Alright guys, we got our paint and we're heading in.
We got orange and yellow.
We got two different colors.
And then we have to find the number. It's paint by number, guys.
10 and 11.
And so here's what it looks like so far.
Where should we go?
I don't know. Let's go down here where there's less people.
And we'll find our number.
You said 10 and 11, right?
Alright, here we go.
Go all the way down.
There's some 11s there.
Or here's some 10s right there.
Alright, let's do some 10s right here.
I'm going to film Jenna doing it first.
Alright, 11 is going down, guys.
Looks like we have had some
little spills and splatters here.
10 squares.
You're going to paint 10 squares of 10.
Can you handle that?
Bob Ross is like happy trees.
Happy figments.
It looks like a different color, doesn't it?
Well, because it's not dry.
In other words, it's still wet.
I've got 7.
One more.
Jenna just created her
masterpiece.
Yay!
Yes, this is one of his eyes.
Josh found his
11.
It's like an orange.
It's figment pigment, guys.
Figment pigment.
You heard it here first.
Paint my number. Who used to do that as a kid?
Be careful not to get in the 4.
Be really careful.
I didn't have to do that.
This is too much pressure, guys.
My shadow is in the way here.
Under pressure.
I'm going to zoom in on his artwork here.
I'm trying to fill it in.
Got to stay inside the lines.
I've got to go down here a little bit.
I love his green eyes.
I went down too far just a little bit.
I'm trying to be careful here, guys.
That's alright. They can paint over it.
I'm going to go down this way.
He's got 5 so far, I think.
I've got a technique there.
There we go.
This is why I'm the band director.
How many do I have now?
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. 3 more.
You've got to be really careful not to get it on you, too.
I don't want any figment pigment on me.
I've got one more.
Don't get it on the blue.
I'm trying.
Yay! We did it, guys.
I'm going to back up and show a little bit better.
Not the best artwork in the world, but we got it done.
It's pretty. I like it.
Here's what the finished masterpiece is going to look like
when all the figment squares are filled in.
That was a lot of fun, guys.
We were filling in the figment pigment.
There you can see a wider shot of the whole thing.
Yay!
Here's the next booth.
Deconstructed Dish.
We're going to try to get across the traffic here
and look at the menu.
Super busy today.
Here's the menu.
Sounds interesting.
Here's some pictures.
Here's a deconstructed Reuben.
Deconstructed BLT.
Cheesecake. That looks funny, right?
And then a popsicle.
Pop-art-sicle.
Interesting. I don't know.
It's very artsy.
Here's the booth in Canada.
The Masterpiece Kitchen.
Let's see if we can find the menu.
Here's a picture menu over here.
Smoked Salmon Tartare.
Wild Mushroom Risotto.
That looks good.
Some kind of palate.
Some of these words are hard to pronounce.
Triple Chocolate Mousse.
That looks good.
Here's a little bit of the menu.
Check out the beautiful view.
Oh my goodness.
Such a pretty day today.
Walking through Canada.
Heading over to
United Kingdom.
And that sun made it super warm, guys.
It is beautiful.
So those are really fun, guys.
They're little photo ops you can get
inside of the paintings.
So Josh and I were in a painting.
It almost looked like we were in France.
It almost looked like a Renoir or something.
So I'm going to show you this menu.
This is here in France.
I don't know.
Not sure if I'm going to get anything here.
Here's some pictures.
And here's the booth.
The same booth that they had at Food & Wine
and at Christmastime.
We're going to keep on moving along.
Here's another booth with artwork in it.
And then they have one over here.
There's Josh.
With some jewelry.
So I bet it's all handmade jewelry.
I can't say that word.
How cool is that?
And it's right over here near Morocco.
So here's the Morocco food booth.
And then I'm going to go over here
and show you the menu.
Hand twisted strips of fried dough
coated with honey, rose water
and sesame seeds.
I don't know.
Check out this jungle cruise painting.
That's awesome.
Here's Thunder Mountain.
And then over here is Pirates.
Closer look at Pirates.
Check out that world showcase.
How cool.
Here's the Japan booth.
Hey, Josh got it.
And here's the menu.
Yogurt strawberry swirl sake.
That sounds interesting.
So here's the artist's table menu.
Pan seared scallop. That sounds good.
Here's the booth for the artist's table.
And here's some pictures of the food.
Oh, there's a cookie there.
Artist's palette jumbo chocolate chip cookie.
Going to walk around this way and find Josh and Liam again.
Trying to get Liam to take a nap.
Liam's enjoying himself.
He's like pointing at everything.
It's so cute.
He was dancing.
Oh, here he goes again.
So this was a fun one.
I'm going to have to do this another time
because there's a pretty long line for it.
So we're going to give it a try another day.
Oh, looks like there's one over there.
We'll go check that one out.
And then over here
over here
if I can get over there.
There's way too many people.
Is the Italy booth.
Oh, that's really good.
So here's another photo op.
This is really cool.
Looks like you're in a painting in a seashell.
So that's fun.
And there's Liam.
Liam, Liam.
Are you pointing at the painting, buddy?
Yeah, it's pretty cool, isn't it?
You want me to get it? Okay, I'll get it.
Hey guys, we found Epcot Bob.
Hey Epcot Bob.
We've heard this guy likes Epcot.
Yeah, do you like Epcot?
Epcot Bob likes Epcot.
Epcot Bob could not be happier.
Well, look at that, guys.
There's a little band over here
next to Germany. How cool.
So there's another
little tent over here with some artwork
in it.
Very cool.
And over here, which I think this is
here all the time, is the rinse, bath
and body. So they have some
soaps and different things over here.
So over here is a really neat booth.
So they're selling Tom's
shoes and you can
get them hand-painted.
How cool. Oh my word, there's a Dalmatians one.
So cool.
Alright guys, so here is the
China booth. The Painted Panda
it's called. And I think we're gonna
maybe try something over here. So let's go
check out the menu, see what they have.
Head around the corner here, try to get around
the crowd.
Crystal Mooncake
sounds interesting.
And the Coconut Panda Rice Cake.
Hmm.
So the top one is the Mooncake
and here's the Panda Cake.
Alright guys, so this
is the Coconut
Rice Cake, Panda Rice Cake.
So we're gonna give this a try. How cute is
this? We saw her make it.
It was so cute.
So alright, we're gonna give it a try.
Alright, I'm gonna try it.
It's so cute, I don't want to eat it.
It's pretty good.
Alright guys, so we are heading
by Norway now. Not sure,
I don't think they have a booth here.
But it's really pretty. I love Norway.
We're heading up to Mexico now.
Or that's next at least.
Alright, we are in Mexico now.
It's usually super busy here.
I know they have a booth over here, so we're gonna go check that out.
Alright guys, well here is the Mexico
booth.
We're gonna check out the menu over here.
Warm strawberry drink served with
Mexican, some kind of bread.
Sounds good.
Here's a festival shop.
Looks like they have some artwork in here.
Festival merchandise.
We're gonna check that out too, maybe over in the
festival center next.
So here's the next booth.
And it is Pop Eats.
Modern cuisine
inspired by modern art.
This chicken thing looks interesting.
Cannot pronounce any of that except for chicken.
There's some shrimp.
This cake is very fancy.
And then we have a popped
art, so it's like a play on
Pop-Tart.
They look like Pop-Tarts too.
Modern design sugar cookie
with strawberry filling.
Alright, so it sounds like a Pop-Tart.
But for $4.25.
You can probably get a whole box of Pop-Tarts
for that.
And here's the booth.
I love their title up there,
Pop Eats, that's really cool.
Not long
line over here.
Alright, so this
is the Old Odyssey restaurant
and it is the festival
center here for the
Festival of the Arts. So we're going to go in and
check it out. See what they have
to offer. We did go in during the live stream
but in case you missed that, we're going
to go in now too.
Okay, so we're going to go in the
Odyssey Festival Showplace.
And they
have a little food booth in here. The painter's
palette. Croissant
donuts.
Interesting. They also have the popped
art in here.
White chocolate figment puzzle.
Okay, well let's go inside and take a look.
It's not very busy
right here right now.
Looks like there's some Pop-Tarts
back there.
Zoom in.
They have some tables in here and it looks like some
kind of presentation.
Animation Academy, okay.
Going on back here.
And over
here is a festival shop, so let's check it out.
This is a cool
mug.
Mickey's on that side.
And it is
$15.99, not so bad.
And some toothpick
holders. Festival of the Arts.
Some cards.
And those are
$16.99.
Here's the
Passholder shirt. That's really cool.
Looks like
they have figment on the sleeve there.
2018
Passholder. I love the color.
So here's two of
the shirts. This one's really cool.
And it is
$27.99.
Mickey and Goofy.
And then here's just Mickey. It's a long sleeve
with a hood. And that one is
$36.99
I think it said. Yeah.
$36.99.
This one's really neat
too. It looks like it's a little bit more fitted.
It has Mickey on it. It says Festival of the
Arts. And it's $29.99.
And here's a hat.
That's pretty cool. I like the gray color.
And they are
$26.99.
So on the underneath part, Dad found
it says Mouse-terpiece.
And it took us a minute to figure that out, guys. Do you get it?
Mouse-terpiece!
Okay, so here's the Art of Disney
attraction posters around the world.
So here's this one
from Hong Kong.
Here's Walt Disney World.
Disneyland Paris.
Phantom Manor. I've been on that. It's amazing.
And here's Disneyland's Phantom Manor.
It's so cool how they have all of those.
And then next is
Space Mountain. So here's Disneyland's.
Hong Kong
Disneyland.
Tokyo Disneyland.
And Disneyland Paris. And again,
this one is amazing. I've been on it. It goes upside down.
So cool.
There's a little glare. Let me come to this side.
And then we have Pirates.
And this is Disneyland's Pirates.
It says New Orleans Square.
Disney World.
Disneyland Paris.
And theirs is amazing as well.
Disneyland Paris.
And then the one
I want to go on so bad is that Shanghai
Disneyland. That one looks so cool.
And then we have It's a Small World.
And this one's from Tokyo.
Hong Kong.
Sorry, there's a glare, guys.
Disneyland.
And this one
is so cool. This one's from the World's Fair.
1963.
So now we have Big Thunder Mountain.
And here's Tokyo.
Walt Disney World.
And
Disneyland Paris. And again, this one
was amazing at Disneyland Paris. It was so cool.
Had a
tunnel that went under the water. It was really
neat. And then we have Dumbo.
From Disneyland.
I love the colors.
Tokyo.
Hong Kong.
And then Shanghai.
So cool.
And then on the other side
they have more attraction pictures. So here's the
Jungle Cruise. And that's
from Disneyland.
A really cool picture of Walt
in front of Disneyland with a lot of the attraction
posters. How cool is that?
That's from 1956.
And here's the
Grand Canyon Dinerama
from the Disneyland Railroad.
I think.
That's really neat.
Oh, and then we have
Card Land, which is amazing.
And that's at Disneyland.
The Red
Car Trolley, again at Disneyland.
Oh, and
here we go, Guardians of the
Galaxy Mission Breakout.
That's at Disneyland, but we're getting this soon.
Right here at Epcot.
And here's the Skyway.
Oh, I miss the Skyway. This is from
the Magic Kingdom, so here at Disney World.
And here's the
Tokyo Disneyland Skyway.
That's neat.
Oh, here's the Matterhorn
Bobsleds. Fun ride at Disneyland.
Pooh's
Honey Hunt.
And that's from Tokyo Disneyland.
The Tron
Coaster from Shanghai. And again, we're getting this
soon too.
And here is Nemo and Friends
Searider from Tokyo Disney
Sea. It's a cute poster.
Oh, and
then we have Spaceship Earth concept art.
That's really neat. 1982.
And here it
is right outside of Spaceship Earth.
And then
Spaceship Earth. Ride the
Time Machine from the dawn of civilization
to the beginning of our tomorrow.
Very cool.
And there's one more over
here, and it is
Epcot International Festival of the Arts poster.
Cool, with pigment. One little spark.
Very cool.
So here's
where they have little
presentations. I think they're going to do an animation
drawing. So that'll
be neat. They were waiting in line for it. There's a little
bit of a line.
Looks like they all have paper and pencil ready to go.
Alright, so we're going to check out
over here. It's supposed to be a 3D
art. Or a 3D
chalk art, sorry.
So we're going to stand over here
and check it out.
So there's a space here where you
stand to get
the full effect of the
3D. So we're going to check it out.
Oh, how cool is that?
That's really neat.
Here's some 2D
chalk art. So let's check those out.
Here's Mickey.
This reminds me of
Mary Poppins, guys.
Where Bert was drawing some
chalk art there.
We have
Wall-E.
Love Wall-E.
Here's a spaceship.
Oh, and she's still, like, working on it
down here. Wow.
I wish I could draw like this.
It's a car of the future.
Oh, my favorite.
Stitch. Love Stitch.
Oh, that's neat.
Oh, and then up here is Baymax.
Let's go check Baymax out.
So here's
Universe of Energy. There's a wall
all around it.
And soon it'll be
Guardians of the Galaxy.
Oh, and then over here they have
an Imagination Kids chalk art.
So they can draw whatever they
want over here. So that's really neat.
Good idea.
This looks like a bunny.
There's a Mickey over there.
It goes all the way down.
So this is really pretty over here.
There's a flower
Mickey. That's pretty.
I love all the different colors.
Right over here behind Spaceship Earth.
Alright, guys. Well, that
