Basement Chronicles Episode 1 Girl Scout Cookies

All right, here we are. Basement Chronicles, episode one. First episode of our Basement Chronicles. And yes, we are in a basement. Not much to see in the basement, but we are in the basement. So it was called Basement Chronicles. And we're going to take this time out to use the space to do testimonies. I believe that we all have a testimony to share. So we want to give God the glory by sharing our testimonies to let everyone else know. Let others know that God has worked miracles in our lives. It could be little miracles, medium-sized miracles, or big miracles. But God has worked miracles in our lives. And we want to share those stories to let others know that, hey, you know what? What God has done for me, he could do for you as well. So this is what the Basement Chronicles is going to be about. And if you're asking, what is Basement Chronicles? Well, that's what it is, right? So we want to take those little things, like he woke me up this morning. That may seem like a small miracle, right? Or a small testimony, but no, it's big because there are many people who don't wake up in the morning, right? And there are many people who do not make it back home. So we want to take those times out, take the time out to say thank you, and to share with others what God has done for us. So this is what Basement Chronicles is all about. And I hope that you tune in. And if you have miracles, testimonies you want to share to the rest of us, please join in on the fun. This should probably be a challenge, right? But join in on the fun. But I just want to take the time out again to make that very clear that this is what the Basement Chronicles is going to be about. I do have a testimony that I want to share. The first one for episode one. This is big. This is big. It's grandiose. I love it. It's going to be great. I don't want to be too long-winded, but I'm going to be short and to the point with this one. I think, you know, again, God wants us to share what the kind of work that he's done in our lives, right? This testimony, it's just simple. I got a knock on my doorbell. My doorbell rang, right? Two Saturdays ago. And it was a lady and her daughter, granddaughter, I should say. And, you know, they came by and they were selling Girl Scout cookies. Yay, Girl Scout cookies. And I love Girl Scout cookies. Thin Mints, the best. Especially that the fact that they, I believe they are vegan. Love it. Love it. Love it. Anyhow, going straight with my story. So they were selling Girl Scout cookies and they came on Sabbath on Saturday afternoon. I told them that I can't buy or sell because it is the Sabbath. So I told them, you know, that I asked them if they'd be okay with coming back the next day so I could purchase the Girl Scout cookies. They said that's fine. So, of course, the next day came, which was Sunday, and they came bright and early, right? They were serious about selling those Girl Scout cookies, and I was serious about buying them. So anyhow, they came and rang the doorbell. I opened the doors and there they were. And I signed up for my Girl Scout cookies, two boxes to be exact. And as soon as they were about to leave, the lady asked me, she goes, excuse me, sir, what Christian denomination are you? And I said, well, I'm a Seventh-day Adventist. And she was like, oh, okay. And I said, well, what gave it away? And she goes, well, I cut her off, of course. And I said, is it because I said Sabbath yesterday or, you know, that it's the Sabbath and I can't buy? She says, that's exactly what it was. And I said, oh, wow. Well, you know, and of course, we got right into it and became a long conversation on the Sabbath and why is it so special? And, you know, as a Seventh-day Adventist Christian, you know, we are so rejuvenated and so refreshed and we just cannot wait from once Saturday night hit, we cannot wait for Friday night to come again, because there's a joy that the Sabbath brings. And she just was looking at me like, you know, well, I want to get a taste of this Sabbath you speak of, sir. And so I told her, hold on one second. I ran off to get some books and I brought back A Great Controversy and Bible Answers and Radiant Living. And I believe I brought back another book as well for her to read. And she took them and she says, you know, thank you very much. And I was ecstatic. I was happy. You know, when you do just that little bit for God, you just feel so like light and loose. I could just start, you know, taking, instead of going up the flights of stairs one at a time, you like taking four or five or six, you know, just jumping. And I was happy. I was really happy about that. And I just, I felt very good that day, you know, that, you know, just that little thing that you can do for God, and how much more he's done for you. And just that little thing, you know, it was like a drop in the ocean when it comes to God. It just makes you feel so elated and so happy. So that's my testimony. Again, that's the first one for episode one. And I'm, you know, I'm just, I'm happy that there will be more episodes to come and there'll be more testimonies to come. And I hope that, you know, many others will, you know, join in on the fun. It's not a challenge, but, you know, just join in, share your testimonies.
