If you enjoy 70s disco music, and want or need a seated chair workout, this is for you! This 15 min workout is a beginner level cardio disco workout. Since copyrighted music is used, there might be ads that will be out of my control. These chair exercises are suitable for seniors and beginners who want, or need a chair workout.
Let's just start with tapping the toes out to the side, bringing the hands along with the feet.
If you can, sit a little bit out on the chair so you'll have a little bit
more ability to move easier. My name is Jules and this is Improved Health Chair Workouts.
So sitting up straight, back is off the backrest, making your core work.
Last time here, then we're going to tap three times.
Other side. Now we'll move the hands up, two, three, other side.
So you can move your upper body back and forth a little bit if you want to challenge that core
a little bit more. And let's do two steps to the side and the other side.
So just keep going back and forth.
Now this one, let's do two and two and then singles. Two
and singles.
Down.
And then we're going forward, forward, back, tap, forward, forward,
back, tap. And then just keep going with us. Move the hands with the feet.
So
let's go into the hitchhiker. This one's a little bit easier.
Just moving your body to the side with your hand.
And putting your own moves into it as well. You can move your upper body however you'd like.
And let's just walk and we'll reach up, up, down, down.
And let's just bring the feet back and forth and we're going to bring the
hands out to the side.
Your back is still off that backrest.
Take a break whenever you need to if you're getting tired and then just come right back
into it when you can. Try and keep your feet moving. If your arms have to take a break that's
okay. Let's tap to the side again.
Let's go into the three taps. Other side.
Two steps to the side and the other side. Two steps.
Trying to keep your abs tight. Keep that core tight. Last time here and double.
Going to singles, double, singles, double, single, singles, and double. Last time single.
Let's go back to that hitchhiker.
Off the step there. Let's go back to walking. So up, up, down, down.
And then bring the hands in. Now if you want you can bring both feet out.
If that's too challenging then just bring one foot.
But if you want to challenge yourself by all means do this. Keep your abs tight.
This back is straight. More singles.
And going into three taps. One, two, three, in. One, two, three, in.
Abs are working here as you lean back a little bit.
And let's go into bringing our hands across. Stepping out.
And let's just bring our heels up giving our calves a workout here
and doing a bicep curl at the same time.
If it's too much doing it both feet at the same time just do one foot at a time.
So working those biceps. Squeeze, flex every time.
And then just picking up that pace with the tapping and just punching in front.
If your heels are getting tired at all you can switch it and just do a toe raise.
Let's go into a step touch. So just bringing the feet back and forth.
Let's get that right beat and just bringing the hands in circles.
Moving your upper body as you wish. Let's bring the arms in front and we're just going to
pretend we're driving a car here. Heels are going up and down again.
Twisting your body a little bit. Try and keep your arms up as much as you can.
Remember to keep those heels going. And then we're going to do our horn honking.
Move your feet as you wish.
And going back to this move. So back is still up. That back rest core is tight.
Doing one foot at a time if you need to.
And taking three steps and then we're going to tap. So one, two, three, tap.
One, two, three, tap.
Let's go back to just tapping out and we're just going to bring our hands around
and then switch the direction. That can be confusing. This is definitely a brain challenge
as well. Do what you can or do one side for half the time and then do the other leg for
other half the time so your arms don't get so confused. Other way. And just pointing in front,
Bring your foot out more if you're able to.
And going back to this move. Giving our abs a good workout here.
Or going to those singles. Stretching your arms out at the same time.
Last one. And then walking forward and back. So let's bring our hands in with it too. So forward
and back. One more time. And let's just walk. Bring our arms up overhead. Nice deep breath in.
And breathing out. Let's do that again. Nice deep breath in.
And breathing out. Let's just bring the shoulders back. So roll the shoulders.
Rotating the wrists. Other direction.
And that is it. Thank you so much for joining me. I hope you enjoyed the workout.
