Plan your Big E Fair visit and save with these discount tickets

We're inching closer to the opening of the Big E Fair. One of the most highly anticipated events bringing in more than a million people. 22 News Reporter Areta Odaya joins us live in studio to answer frequently asked questions about what'll cost you some dollars. We're all excited for the Big E, right? But you'll need to plan out how you're going to spend your money. Let's start with parking. Gate 9 is for the public. That'd be 10 bucks. Other than that, you'd head to street parking. This is the ticket breakdown. At the gate, it's 20 dollars for adults. Seniors, it's 16 dollars. 6 to 12 year olds, it's 12 dollars. If you're under 5, then lucky you, it's free to get in. Same rate each day. To buy from vendors, amounts will vary. Carnival rides, in person or online, are in the 30 dollar range. Now there is a slight upcharge if you buy tickets online. CEO and president of the Eastern States Exposition Gene Cassidy recommends getting advance tickets. The great thing is advance tickets are still available until 11-59 p.m. today. So the advance tickets give you a 20 percent discount on admission. As for concerts, there are free performances from local artists. Then there's headliners and performances like T-L-C or Train that'll cost some money. If you buy one, then it's your ticket into the fair too. Cassidy tells me that the least busy days to go are the beginning of the work week, and there are also scooters and wheelchairs to rent for handicapped folks. Working for you, Aretha Odiah, 22 News.
