Kenwood DDX9907XR Unboxing

what's good youtube manager boy on dope coming at y'all with another video here uh this was or this is an update that it was inevitable man this one right here was a long time coming um this is something that i as i move forward along in my build um i try to rock out uh with my little budget head unit and at first it was like okay man you got to think hey i'm coming i'm in the car with some 10 year old speakers um you put that deck in and it immediately sounds amazing uh way better than what i had in there and yeah so once i started getting speakers and all that type of stuff going prv and whatnot uh some things had to change uh so uh here we go man y'all know how i do man i always uh cut the box to make it easier uh for the video but let me go ahead and slide that top back and get this thing going man because i'll be damned i'm not even about to go on my whole little rent i'm just about to go ahead and open this joker up so you see it there online car stereo uh this is a place that i guess i shopped at back in 2012. i didn't know i had an account with them but uh i guess i did uh but yeah y'all can see that right there we had to get that upgrade man so i got this kenwood uh ddx 9907 xr matter of fact let's do this see if i can just slide it out and y'all gonna have to stick with me on this man i'm trying to use a um a new camera stand man so i'm trying to see is this something that i'm gonna want to stick with or maybe change but let me push that down and move that down a little bit all right so uh like i said right here in front of you y'all see it kenwood ddx 9907xr box been damaged a little bit but hopefully as long as everything in inside is protected um matter of fact let's do this i'm gonna move this amp out the way before i had that uh kenwood before i got the kenwood this is what i was i've been rocking with and i will do an update video on this i've been promising people hey i'm gonna do an update on uh this head unit and let them know you know the pros and cons all that type of stuff man hopefully i can get that done today because that thing right there will be going in immediately man so um this piece here is like i said this is what i'm rocking with right now uh it's not a bad piece it's just not great so um like i said we'll get we'll get into that uh hopefully later today maybe tomorrow i don't know whenever but uh right now we got to upgrade as far as the kenwood um exelon reference uh i guess this is the top of the top of their um monitors um y'all know me man i am a pioneer guy i keep saying it and i'll keep saying it man i am mr like pioneer for life uh so this is my first time ever messing with a kenwood uh receiver uh so i don't know uh what to expect as far as like the performance but obviously a lot of people ran about them uh it's kind of like the playstation xbox type of deal man it's like a are you a kenwood guy or you're a pioneer guy when it comes to head units uh of course you have sony and alpine all that type of stuff and uh the stinger elevating all that man but when it comes to this um the head unit game i am pioneer like till devdo is part but uh with all the craziness that's going on with all these factories burning down uh chips not being able to be manufactured i had to go ahead and take another route man it was either get this joker here or the pioneer with the nine inch screen and single chest a single damn chassis and all that man i didn't feel like going through all that so sorry this time pioneer man but hopefully this will just be a a one-time deal to where i end up going with the kenwood man so uh just doing the unboxing obviously we got the wiring harness um this is your gps antenna now the bluetooth microphone make sure i'm doing all this in front of the camera and then you got your usbs um i guess the black one is iphone and the great one is android i'm not sure what that i guess is an auxiliary piece in there so let me make sure i get that in front of the camera i probably should take this stuff out the plastic due to the fact that i'm gonna go ahead and get this going in the car real soon here man uh but maybe i don't know may i'll do an update mounting hardware trim panel that just i don't know why they do that but that comes with the radio [Music] and then you got the warranty card and probably the user manual and all that type of stuff in here but let's get to the most important part and there she is man that great a receiver man let's slide her out or let's attempt to slide her out all right so now with this uh kenwood unit and i keep hitting this dog on camera stand let me just throw this stuff out the way here all right so there she is i'm not going to take her out either due to the fact that i'm not ready yet this is one of those type of deals where you start installing and that's where you want to start messing with it uh so we'll get going real soon here so like i said man um i am not mr kenwood looking at us upside down and for some reason they they put it in his cage uh that everybody says the kids the cage can't fit inside of anything so what's the point of that man but i guess it is what it is um you know what let's do this hopefully they got a protective because the main reason why i bought this radio um obviously for the sound quality the settings um like i said i am a pioneer guy and i tell everybody hey once you go next you can't go back which is in my eyes it's just the the facts that's just a situation where it's factual man man but um supposedly the um kenwood excellent reference has uh some of the top tier um sound quality parts in it so supposedly they put some mosfet or some chips in it that make sure that the sound quality is on a whole nother level and comes with all these um rca connections where you like your video front view camera third view camera rear view camera so cam what is real big on these cameras man but y'all see that right there looks like we got let's see because they do theirs different so you got front in the middle the rear and then the sub down here uh those are five volt pre-outs definitely we will be using those uh like i said i got my prv speakers playing i just been having them playing on that dual uh what is it xc or xdcpa uh 10bp like i said man when i first put that radio in there hey it was amazing don't get me wrong uh it was great from the standpoint of like i said 10 year old speakers now they're you know got a real sound processor on them uh it does have apple carplay android auto so i was happy with that uh but like i said once you start adding amps and uh you expect a certain sound and a dsp couldn't get it to go i was like okay i'm going ahead i'm going to have to go ahead and bite that hell of a bullet because this was a pretty penny uh but i was like man let me go ahead and bite the bullet man and get a real uh head unit in so we got the cd dvd uh this is wireless um apple carplay android auto does screen mirror i guess wireless android mirroring wired iphone i'm an iphone guy now uh so i'm gonna make this video nice and sweet hopefully i mean i'm pretty sure there's tons of videos of this on uh youtube uh but like i said as far as me this right here subwoofer obviously i don't know why the front's in the middle but just right now my front speakers are in there so i got to get those going uh so i'm going to go ahead and swap this dual out and try to go out here and shoot a quick video to get that dual off the car and also ordered this off of ebay and i figured i'd just leave it in there so y'all can see how this came back with some freaking newspaper i mean i'm i guess give it how you live there's one way to look at it so let me open this okay so uh this is the kenwood remote this thing is a freaking subway sandwich i did not know this thing was gonna be just thick so i'm the type of guy i'm lazy i literally have like the stereos right here i can easily touch it that's probably about how how far away it's going to be in the car i'm i'm not doing it if i don't have a remote i know good um cool thing about pioneer they come with the remotes can was do not uh so i had to spend an extra 30 bucks to get this here like i said i had no idea this was this thick and i can almost guarantee yep no freaking batteries all right so well i guess that's my unboxing um let me find the box uh the kenwood ddx9907xr uh so like i said man this is i guess their top tier uh to compete with the pioneer next units uh so the exelon reference supposedly like i said supposedly has a let me get this turn around supposedly has the top-notch uh sound quality pieces in it so we'll go from there man and once i get this out of the orange get this out of the car and this one into the car i'll
