Hey, what's going on everybody? Live video here, just giving you a little bit of an update to
what I've been up to. Right now I am still in California, getting ready to head back to
Arizona. Going to be taking about a week or two just completely off of everything online,
just hanging out, chilling, recharging my batteries. California has been very, very busy. I
got 17 tiny home tours done while I was here in California, basically going nonstop. Started down,
my first tour was probably around the Santa Barbara area and then went up north of the
Bay Area and just kind of went back and forth in the school bus. That was very interesting,
driving the school bus in California, especially in the more congested areas, but I definitely
have way more confidence driving this thing now. Basically just being born in the fire,
getting everything sorted out and figuring out the best way to get this thing in and out of places.
But basically with that amount of content that I got for tiny home tours, I can now schedule those
videos out and I can start concentrating more on this channel, other projects that I have going on.
Today I want to mention, hey everybody, thanks for commenting and joining. Crypto Nomad,
thanks for the compliment, but I'm very intrigued on what you're doing there,
making some money, trading some coins. But yeah, so right now I just want to mention a
project I've been working on. It's my first book. It's the Schoolie Income Manual. It's
basically how I make money on the road and it is not a step A through Z how to do it. It's more of
this was my experience and these are the key principles, thought processes, how are the
things structured, how I collaborate, how I negotiate with brands. It's basically just more
of a toolkit to help those thinking about going remote, working on the road, as well as those
that are in one spot and they're looking to develop more of a residual income, more of a
side income on top of what they're doing. I'm big on Cardano too, big guy. Basically, for example,
I go into detail about my real estate job, how that came about, how it works. People that buy
the book, which is $9, for all those following me on social, you get access to an online course.
With that online course, it's an actual screen share of my YouTube revenue, my Facebook revenue,
how I negotiate on Instagram, how I negotiate sponsored posts. For the real estate job,
I actually do a screen share showing you examples of how it works and just an idea to get that
going. Even if you are not interested in the book, if you are looking for a mobile income,
the ISA, inside sales agent job, working with brokerages is something I think anybody could do.
It's not the easiest job, but when I was building the bus, I had that real estate job and I was
making $2,000 to $4,000 a month and I was working three to four hours a day. What that allowed me
to do was wake up at five in the morning, work really early, and around 10 through noon, I was
actually able just to concentrate fully on working on the bus. I wouldn't have been able to get as
much done on the bus if I didn't have that job. I had a nine to five where I got off work at five
and then I had to muster up the energy to get to work on the bus. That would not have been fun.
It was an absolute blessing. I would definitely think about looking into that. We'll see what
happens with the real estate as the economy slows down. If it slows down, as Zillow and these other
platforms start gaining relevance, but I do see it for the next two or three years still being
something that's very in high demand. It's to the point with me where people that I worked with in
the real estate world before, I still get emails today. I still get messages today to see if I'm
still working because it's hard for them to find people that are actually willing to put in the
work and willing to do the job. On the road, I've tried to hire people to help me out with it
and it never works out. They call for two or three days and then they're done.
Granted, I had the bus that I was doing. I had massive motivation to do that job,
but that's all in the course. 100% money back guarantee, all that good stuff lifetime. If you
don't get any value, I don't want to charge you any money for it, but links for that will be in
the description. It's in the chat if you guys want to check it out. Other than that, man,
I am burnt. I need just a complete social media break from everything. I'm going to be taking a
trip here shortly. Once I get back from that, Wes and I are going to start on a roof raise over in
Phoenix, Arizona. Once we're done with that, I'm heading up to Oregon and I have a tiny home
festival I will be filming at. After that festival is over, I'm bopping on down to Colorado
and I'll be filming at that tiny home festival. Towards the beginning of July, I will have my
first... Well, unless something gets added to the schedule or calendar now, I'll have my first
full-time spot to where I'll just be able to go where I want, be able to park somewhere for a
long amount of time. I am very excited for that. The bus so far, the build, since I've been living
in it, it's been a lot more social than I ever anticipated. I've been hanging out with more
people. I've made more friends than I anticipated. I honestly thought I'd just go out to the desert
by myself, get a bunch of work done, trail run, just do that recluse lifestyle. As the social
channels have grown, as I meet more people on the road, it's just nonstop hanging out with one group
of people to the next group of people, which is an absolute blessing. If I look back at it,
I don't know if I would have been as happy doing that as I anticipated to how happy I am right now.
Just meeting that many different people and experiencing so many different things and
learning so much. When I first came here to California, I was just going to go to the Van
Life app meetup, which there was 120 camper vans. Ended up getting about seven tours done there,
but then I just got a hold of my assistant. I was like, hey, I'm already in California.
I've already spent the diesel going from Phoenix to Santa Barbara. Why don't we see if we can find
some more tours? Then scheduled a bunch of tours after that. It's been exhausting, but at the same
time, it's like still waking up every morning and wanting to get after and excited about what's
happening. Just waking up in a new spot almost every day. I couldn't ask for anything more.
If you do have any questions for me, go ahead and write it in the comments. Rambler Bob asks,
where in Oregon? It's Oak Ridge. It's the bus fair that I'll be filming at. It's a schoolie
themed tiny home festival, so it's only schoolies. It's in Oak Ridge. I believe it's June 6th.
You can check out bus fair on Instagram. I'm sure if you Google bus fair schoolie festival,
it'll pop up. X houses. Yeah, real estate is a good thing for mobile income.
Oh, one more thing with real estate. If you do have a camera and you start doing this ISC
position, you're mobile. There's so many different facets. I'm going to go off a little bit of a
tangent here. You're looking for sale by owners. You know how to search on Zillow. You know how to
talk to people. It'd be a great mobile income for somebody that was looking to literally call
the sell by owners that just have pictures of their cell phone. If you have a decent camera,
teach yourself some basic photography skills. You can charge $100 to $150, go over to their house,
photograph their house, edit the photos, and you have about three or four hours worth of work.
You're making $30 an hour or so doing that job. You can have multiple for sale by owners lined
up. If you go to a bigger city, do two or three houses in a day. Those living on the road,
that could last you a very long time. There's a lot of opportunity in real estate for those
on the road. Thanks for getting the book, Melissa. Definitely appreciate it. RV nomadic,
when you plan on finishing the ceiling and the exterior paint and some aesthetics of the bus,
that will not be done until I get all the debt paid off. Once I get my debt paid off,
then I'm going to start concentrating more on aesthetics. Right now, that's my main focus.
I haven't been going out to eat that much. I haven't been spending any money on anything other
than just paying off the debt as quickly as possible. I'm honestly leaning more towards
stainless steel. I think that would look awesome in here, especially with the new paint. You can
see the darker color right there. It'll match the kitchen. Right now, paying off the debt,
then we're going from there. Assistant, who's your assistant? She is someone that I actually
filmed a tiny home tour with. She was looking for a mobile income, so we started working together.
She's an absolute amazing worker. She just kills it. Very, very smart, knows how to negotiate.
I'm absolutely blessed to have her. Rambler Bob, if you happen to make it to the bus fair,
come up and say hi. What waking up at some new place helps you wake up with something new every
day? If yes, how far and wide has your... Yeah, somewhere new, not someone new.
Thanks for praying for me, Perky. Yeah, Dingo, a company called Display. It's actually metal
posters, and I can switch it so I have other metal posters in there, but since I don't have
Kobuk with me right now, just a reminder of the pup. He'll actually be joining me in the bus
mid-May, so I'll be getting Kobuk back for the summer. Very excited to have the pup back.
Shout out to Chris's assistant, absolutely. Why don't you add for sale? I wouldn't sell the bus.
She's been very good. She has been trying to build her business. We're still taking a break,
getting that whole thing figured out, but yeah, we'll see how that goes.
XHousesS, for a while I've been thinking about resurrecting two or three old school motorhome
models and possibly moving to mass production after modernizing the models. Don't know much
about RVs. You're definitely getting yourself into a rabbit hole trying to renovate RVs,
trying to build schoolies. It's twice as much as you thought it was going to cost and take
three times as long, typically, is the rule of thumb on that. I definitely experienced that.
Another part with the manual that's in there, if you are considering doing a school bus or
to do any type of custom work, I have full drawn-out schematics of the bus.
The purchase also comes with a 3D rendering of the bus. You download a free program called
SketchUp. Through SketchUp, you can actually maneuver around. You can edit the actual layout.
You can take my layout and maneuver it any way you want to, whether you go with a shorter bus
or if you decide to basically get the same thing I did, you could essentially replicate my bus
because everything's to scale to the eighth of an inch. It's a very accurate representation of my
bus. You're able to go in there and check that out. Also, the purchase of the manual for $9,
it comes with a free online course. I just felt as though it was important to show an actual
screen share of my income so you guys can actually see it on the screen where the income's
coming from. For example, with YouTube, I talk about where the income's coming from,
as well as some techniques and some tricks that I've developed over the years to help with
making an income on YouTube, as well as Facebook, as well as Instagram, as well as sponsored posts,
as well as affiliate marketing. All that's in there. A phone call with one of my mentors.
Mentors have been one of the most important things that I've had over the years, that I've
gained over the years. Thankfully, through this channel, the mentors reached out to me,
but I would absolutely not be where I'm at today without the help of two mentors in particular.
With one of those mentors, I actually had a phone call with him and he was nice enough to spend
about 45 minutes talking to me and going over my progression, the things that he's picked up
on and lessons he's learned. He's the mentor that I had a phone call with. He is a very,
very successful business person. The insights that he's helped me out with, as well as the
other mentor, have been life-changing. I highly suggest, again, if you don't buy the book, if you
get one thing out of this entire conversation, Credo 80-20 principle for sure, but also find a
mentor. If you're stuck, if you don't know your next step, whether it be making mobile income or
a career choice or starting a new business, whatever it may be, mentors are some of the
most powerful tools that you could use. A lot of the time, the most successful people, they're more
than happy to assist you. They're more than happy to give you their insights because they've been
there and they've done that. Thankfully, I was in my early 30s when I learned this, but if I
would have learned the importance of mentorship when I was in my 20s, early to mid-20s, late 20s
even, I would be that much further ahead of where I'm at now. Not to say that I think I have this
all figured out. I'm still flailing in the water, holding on to my life vest out in the middle of
the ocean trying to make it work. Don't feel as though I think I have everything figured out,
but I've learned that with the help of mentors and having the drive and having the internal
fortitude to get after it every day and put the work in and do the things that people aren't
willing to do, you will succeed. It does take time, at least it did for me, trying to figure
out this social media thing, really having a lot of self-reflection time. It took me six years
to get any type of solid foothold where I felt comfortable doing this. It's been a struggle.
A lot of times, it just takes that extra little effort.
Deidre, like I said in my email, if you want to just primer your bust
so it isn't all splotchy. I love the painting rig experience. He sent me an email and offered
to help me paint the bust. Wes and I might do it. Possibly, I got a color scheme maybe.
I don't know. We'll figure that out after I take a break. Once I get a little bit of mental rest,
I'll be able to start worrying more about the bust. Right now, I don't even notice that the
ceiling's not done yet, to be honest. I've just been going nonstop so much that it just all blends
together, to be completely honest. It has cold food, running water, a place to sleep.
That's all I need. Stove works. It's easy. It allows me to go out and build new incomes and
develop the incomes that I already have going. That's been the main priority. If the ceiling
is spray foam right now, it's still keeping the heat out, still keeping the heat in when I need
it. John Norris asked, did the new owner of ZEP1 renovate the van? That's actually interesting. He
might be selling it at the end of summer. Depending on what happens, I might buy ZEP1 back.
Still trying to get that figured out, how that would work. I wish it'd be as easy as just towing
it. That'd be pretty cool, ZEP2 towing ZEP1. The transmission that's in that van, I'd have to get
a system that keeps the transmission fluid turning as you're towing it.
That'd be pretty cool to do that. Lastly, with the Spoolie manual, I, of course, got a run.
I put it in the description or the chat, rather. There will be a link in the description of this
video. If you do want to check it out, like I said, two important things that I already mentioned
in here, I think are the most important parts of the manual for those looking for mobile income,
those looking to work remotely, the real estate job, how much opportunity there is for people
that are working remotely, that are able to travel in the real estate world.
Also, finding mentors, mentors that can save you years of struggle by an hour or two long phone
conversation that can completely shift your perspective. I hope everybody's having a great
Easter out there. From the bottom of my heart, I would not be in this bus. I would not be doing
what I was doing without you guys and gals. I realize that every single day. I am just
truly grateful for everybody out there. Like I said, whether you buy the book or not,
I would not be here without you. So I'm going to get off here. Got to get going. New boondocking
spot. Like I said, I'll be I will be off the grid for about two weeks or so. Might have another
couple of videos here on on YouTube. But yeah, just just need to take a break. Been been going
nonstop for a year and a half, and I'm starting to hit that wall. I'm definitely getting there.
Thanks again, everybody. We'll catch you later.
