Let's break it and look how gooey that is.
Look at that.
Gooey and delicious.
I'm gonna turn my cookie.
And this is the way I like them.
Be sure to cook.
Welcome back to another episode of Be Sure to Cook.
Today, we're gonna be making our famous
red velvet white chocolate cookies.
So stay tuned and let's do this.
Okay, let's go over some of the ingredients
we're gonna be needing.
We're gonna be needing one cup of flour,
one stick of unsalted butter, softened.
So you wanna lay this out first,
get this nice and soft before you start
to make these cookies.
One large egg,
half teaspoon of baking soda,
half teaspoon of salt,
one teaspoon of vanilla extract,
half cup of brown sugar,
a half cup of granulated sugar,
and a half cup of your white chocolate chips.
Make sure you get the finest white chocolate,
the ones that you like,
the ones that you can sit around and eat on.
Those are the ones you're gonna want in these cookies.
And the last thing you're gonna need
is a couple of drops of red food color.
Okay, I've got two halves that I had set now.
Gonna start mixing up our butter.
Since it's already glucified and loose,
we're gonna add in our brown sugar.
Make sure we get all that brown sugar out.
We're gonna whip this brown sugar up.
Okay, I'm gonna get it off the sides here.
Then I'm gonna add in my white sugar,
my white fine sugar.
Gonna whip this up.
My one large egg,
and I'm gonna finely beat this up.
Get it all over my sugar.
Make sure all my sugar's combined in here with my egg.
Let's turn this up on a little high
so we get that egg all nice and incorporated in here.
Then I have my vanilla that I'm gonna sprinkle in here,
and I'm gonna use my spatula also
to get all this vanilla out.
I want everything.
I don't want to leave any.
Okay, we're gonna start mixing that vanilla,
and they're really good.
Okay, now I'm gonna add my salt.
I'm just gonna sprinkle it all around,
make sure I get all my salt out.
This is another little spatula I got
just in case I want to get everything.
And I'm just gonna fold this in,
making sure it gets incorporated very well.
And then I'm gonna do my one cup of flour.
So I'm just gonna start putting half of this in,
and the other half I'm gonna slowly put in as I go.
Even if I have to beat the back
just to get all that dry ingredients.
And I'm just gonna slowly just smash this around.
Okay, then I have my baking soda.
Do the same with that,
because that gets stuck at the bottom,
so you do need something to get that out
because that's very important.
To get all of this together.
Okay, so I'm gonna also mix that in very well.
We're gonna start off with two drops of dye.
If you don't think it's enough,
and it doesn't look as red as you want it,
feel free to add another drop.
So now we're gonna start making it,
because we want it to be red.
We really don't want it to be,
what I wanna say, like pink.
We want a red tint.
Okay, now we're gonna add two more.
After you get your cookies as red as you like it,
then we're gonna add in our white chocolate chips.
Ooh, look at that.
Then we're gonna mix these all around.
Okay, I'm gonna take my cookie dough,
and I am going to put it in a bowl.
We're gonna put this in the refrigerator
for at least about 30 minutes overnight.
Okay, my cookies are out of the refrigerator,
and I let them sit out,
because I did leave them in there overnight.
And they were really stiff, so I let them sit out
so I can easily scoop me some cookies.
And I am scooping.
I've got a nice pan.
This is a silicone.
It's nonstick, so I can easily just put my cookies on.
I don't have to worry about spraying them.
I don't need to.
They're gonna cook up nice and ready to eat and use,
and it doesn't stick, and I love that.
I love those nonstick.
So I'm just dipping me out some cookies,
and I'm using a small scooper if you want it.
You can use a big scooper if you want.
You can use a giant scooper if you want.
Depends on how many cookies you want to make.
I'm making six.
And I'm gonna take my hand,
and I'm just gonna press down on each cookie.
Nice and round and flat.
That's the way I like my cookies.
Okay, to make them more interesting,
I'm gonna add some more of those
white chocolate chips on top.
Okay, I got my oven on 350.
I'm putting my six cookies in here.
We're gonna give these about eight minutes.
Look at them in five minutes.
Look at these cookies.
Okay, here are my cookies, and they have cooled.
I've set them down to cool, and they have cooled.
And look at them, they smell delicious.
They look delicious, and I can't wait to bite into one.
I've got my plate, and I'm going to lift up my cookie,
and I'm gonna put my cookie on my plate.
Mm, mm, mm.
These are gonna be some delicious red velvet
chocolate chip, white chocolate chip cookies.
Mm, mm, mm, and they're big, and they're delicious.
So, let's take a cookie, and let's break it,
and look how gooey that is.
Look at that.
Gooey and delicious.
I'm gonna turn my cookie, and this is the way I like them.
These are delicious cookies.
So, I'm gonna taste one of these cookies.
Mm, I love these.
These are really, really delicious.
Oh, my God.
These are the best cookies.
