Is AI Taking Over the World? | Man on the Street | PragerU

What's up guys? This is Wilwitt back on the streets for PragerU. Today we are at CSUN asking students what they think about chat GPT and AI. Let's do it. Now you got to be honest with me, okay? No lying. You use chat GPT, AI for homework, assignments, things like that? Yes. Yes. Yeah, sometimes. Yeah. I'm a computer science major, so I use it a lot to help me with concepts I don't really understand. You ever feel guilty using it? Like, man, I could really do this myself, but you have a robot doing it? No, I don't feel guilty because I'm learning in the process. Sometimes, yeah, it does make me feel guilty. Do you see a lot of students on campus using it for cheating and stuff like that? Yeah, I used to, or I mean, I know. We won't tell anyone. We won't tell anyone. I mean, you know, teach their own, you know, I'm not going to snitch or anything like that, but it's going to be on them, right? If they don't understand the material when it comes to like testing and stuff like that. Does AI in the future and everything like that, does that scare you at all, what the capabilities could be? I'm excited. I'm excited for it. Yeah. I'm actually very excited to see what's happening. Our generation as a whole already has social issues and the fact that people willingly talk to robots doesn't help at all. It's just making it worse. The robot doesn't challenge your current beliefs. All it really does is kind of just validate the perspective that you have, which leads to more egocentric views and nonsense. What do you think about AI girlfriends? Would you ever get an AI girlfriend? No, no. I think that's that's very damaging to like the social fabric of our society. So absolutely not. Would you ever have an AI boyfriend? No. No? How come? Because I feel like people can be more emotional than AI. No, no. How come? I don't know. I feel like it's kind of weird to look towards technology for something physical. I mean, there's already like games like that anyways. So I guess it wouldn't be emotionally sure maybe. There's a lot of people who are doing it now, you know, they get that sense of validation. They're very insecure. Someone's telling them everything you want. That's not fun. That's not, I'm not, I'm the last type of guy to just to just want that. Why do you think someone would go and get an AI girlfriend? Oh man, maybe loneliness. Maybe like if you're socially awkward, you may resort to that. You know, it might be more compelling than actually going out and try to make a conversation, you know, especially now these days. But yeah, it's it's not, it's not a good thing.
