In this video, we're going to show you
our Euro Tunnel journey, so you will
know exactly what to expect from start
to finish.
We'll also point out where you can buy
food, drinks, and where the toilet stops
are.

Okay, we're not flexible.
The ticket machine has already read your
number plate, so you just have a few
buttons to press.
Then it prints your ticket.
You can hang your ticket from the mirror
or just leave it on the dashboard like
we did.
Your train number is the letter and
digit printed on your ticket as is V5.
And now we're following the signs
over to the waiting area.
It's a lovely sunny day.
And if you got your Flexi Plus ticket,
you'd go off to that lane. We haven't
got one of those today, so we're just
going straight on.
This is the car park where you have to
wait until they call you for your train.
So we are parking here
and on that board we can see when we
have to carry on to the train. Let's
have a close look at this information
board. The information is displayed
alternately in English and French and
they will show you information for all
the trains due to leave over the next
hour and a half approximately. On the
left you see the time your train is
scheduled to depart. Then in the next
column the train number as is V5. Then
whether it's on time or delayed and then
finally what you need to know about your
train. Ooh, our says last call.
>> We got to go.
>> In a minute, you'll see the shops,
toilets, and takeaway restaurants on the
left. And you can walk your dog here
around the car park if you need to.

So, we're in the queue now at the
passport and security control. So, in a
minute we're going to show our ticket
and our passport.
So, we just showed our passport and that
went perfectly fine. And now we are
going up to the French passport check
area.
here we go then we're now driving to the
train.
Very exciting.
The man on the right is holding up the
sign telling you which lane to go in
depending on your train number.
If you didn't get a chance to get a
drink and go to the L in the car park,
you and pop out here.
But you will have to keep a close eye on
the queue as there's no guarantee how
long you have before things start
moving.
And once again, there's a a notice board
up there, and that will tell you in
French and in English
what the status is of your train.

That side is flexible.

We're just queuing to go down the slope
and
>> get onto the train.
You can see the trains are
double-decker. That was a bit of a
surprise to us the first time we saw
them, but we've traveled on the shuttle
now quite a few times, so we're used to
it and it doesn't really make any
difference.
So, you get on and then you have to
drive along the inside.
still see um that we're on land because
there's the window. You can't see
outside it, but there's light coming in.
Okay, so we'll just stop here for a
moment until we get going.
The safety announcement has just told us
that the toilets on the double-decker
trains are every third carriage. Um, so
you can see by that little sign up
there, it's pointing which way the
toilets are. So, let's go and have a
look at the toilets and see what they're
like. Just walked through one carriage
and now we can see the sign is directing
us downstairs. So, let's go downstairs.
So, we've come downstairs and here's the
toilet.
I'll just show you what it's like
inside.
Okay, so if you've got children, there's
enough room for an adult and a child to
go in there. So that's quite good. Okay.
You are allowed to get out of your car
if you feel like stretching your legs,
but just a word of warning um if you do
need to go to the L. The doors are very
stiff and um you will need an adult to
go with any children.
That's the button you press.
But they are really quite heavy.
Okay. Well, it's time to get back in the
car now then. So, it's nearly time to
get off the train.
So, here we are then. We're going down
the little ramp and now we are on French
soil. Yippee.
or should I say French tarmac.
So there we go. Another successful
journey under the channel and actually
it is quite pleasant.
We hope this video has been useful.
And if you're watching this before you
set off to France, we hope you have a
really lovely holiday.
