smart mailbox alarm this function is very simple that it notifies you as soon as you receive a mail in your mailbox let's start with unboxing it comes packed in a very compact box inside it you get a sensor base station and adhesive sheet for your sensor and this is the base station this is the sensor and this is the back plate if you're wondering how to do the installation installation is very simple this sensor comes with a built-in battery which can lost you up to 4 years and it is a replaceable battery once you're done you can remove the screws and replace it before you install it on the mailbox you will actually pair both of these with the accents app add base station like the right base station once you do that the app will proceed and add it to your Wi-Fi and smart app then you will take the sensor add sensor and then it will give you the mailbox alarm sensor once you've done that that will proceed and automatically connect it not only with your base station but also with your Wi-Fi sensor is ip65 waterproof so you can install it outside as well the base station has a built-in speaker this will start ringing and you will know that it have received a mailbox red light will start blinking and it will keep blinking unless you clear the notification by pressing the button on the uh base station so the red blinking light even after the notification is gone is to give you an indication that you still have a bending your mailbox so go pick it up you can use the accents app to control different settings for either the sensor or the base stations Family Sharing as well I don't know the exact transmission distance between the base station and the sensor but their official product page mentions that it is very long so I am assuming you should be good with the transmission even if your mailbox is installed a few hundred met away from your home one thing to note is that this sensor will only work with mailboxes that have lids on them any mailbox that does not have a lid on it it will not work with them so for example it will work with post mount wallet Mount slot type Mount and cluster type uh mailboxes so it will work all of them but if uh your mailbox does not have lid on it because it uses lid opening of the lid as a detection uh signal so if you don't have it it will not work fine
