I crashed my motorcycle, and it changed the way I look at life, discipline, and growth. In this video, I share the story of my motorcycle accident, the lessons I learned from it, and how the experience reshaped my mindset toward fitness, health, and personal development.
From facing fear and rebuilding confidence to learning patience and gratitude, this crash taught me more than any gym session or motivational book ever could. If you’ve ever gone through something tough, whether it’s an injury, setback, or burnout, this video will hit home.
What's going on? Coach Kyle here, your
fitness coach. And a very common
question I've been asked in the past.
Actually doesn't have to do with
fitness. What happened to my knees? So,
if you can see here, it's pretty scarred
up. This knee's a lot worse. This one's
actually not bad at all. I'll put a
photo of what happened on the screen.
And that was about a week or two later
after I had been getting it all fixed up
and trying to take care of it. I had to
bandage it a ton. But I get asked a lot
about what actually happened to my knee,
right? Because even to this day when I
play volleyball, I consistently will
reopen the scar that I have and it
starts to bleed which is super
frustrating. But bring it back to about
8 years ago. I got my motorcycle
license. So Josh, myself and a couple
buddies, we would consistently go out
for some amazing long rides on the back
roads for hours. And I was a new
motorcycle rider. So Josh growing up, he
was a very comfortable rider. We'd
always ride together. you know, he did
dirt bike racing uh a ton and so I was
starting to learn. Obviously very far
from it being, I guess you could say, a
good rider, but I was starting to get
the hang of it. Essentially, what had
happened was Josh, myself, and a buddy
Peter. There may have been others there,
but I believe it was the three of us. We
were out on a back road uh motorcycle
ride. It was super chill. We were just
enjoying the scenery. We had been out
for quite a while, I believe. And what
happened was we ended up missing a turn.
So, our friend Peter, he was right in
front of me. He stopped a little bit
quicker realizing that he, you know, had
missed the turn. He's very great at
handling myself. I started to panic. And
when I looked up, I realized that I was
either about to go into him or I had to
do something about it. And so, I hit the
front and the back brake at the exact
same time. I ended up spinning out quite
a bit. I'll put the video on the screen
so you can see it. Josh actually had a
GoPro uh while we were riding
Oh crap, dude. What happened?
>> You good?
You just shook up.
>> Yeah.
>> Shake the bucky off and grab his maybe.
>> You good, man?
>> I just
>> I just pressed on it. I You
>> had so much fun.
>> I think so.
>> Did you flip?
>> I was doing circles.
>> It's not bad.
>> How you feeling, man? to ride at home,
but you can do it now.
>> Could have been worse, right?
>> Why is the leg taking the first fall?
>> Taking it like a champ, man.
>> Taking a look at the carage.
>> Yo, look at my jeans.
>> Dang, dude. Glad you're good. At least
At least it was slow.
Yo, I I rolled like a bunch of times and
my head smashed the concrete like 50
times. You
>> feel fine headwise.
>> That's fine. Just look.
>> It definitely was quite a scary
experience. I was 100% shooken up from
it. I still rode afterwards, but uh at a
certain point I just started to fall out
of love with riding motorcycles. just
got more into cars and, you know,
heavily modded cars and that kind of
became a little bit uh more fun for me
and just safer.
Uh especially for myself, I just found I
wasn't the most confident rider and I
would question a lot of things. I would
ride a little bit timid and I feel like
as a motorcycle rider, especially
through the city and uh whatnot and no
matter where you're at, you just always
have to be on guard. you have to be, you
know, really good at being able to
handle and and, you know, just be on two
wheels properly. So, you know, I just
found that I wasn't enjoying it and I
ended up hanging up the uh, you know,
motorcycle helmet and uh, and the bike.
But uh, that's pretty much the gist of
it. Obviously, like like I said, very
grateful to be here and uh, I've seen a
lot worse in in many other videos, but
once again, I get asked this question
quite often as to what exactly happened.
So, yeah, I mean, my main takeaway is
just stay safe out there, ride with
gear. Uh, so I was lucky. I did wear a
motorcycle jacket. So my entire body,
uh, upper body was totally fine. No
problems at all. But as you see, um, the
knees, I was just wearing jeans. And
once again, just thinking nothing will
ever happen to me. At least I wasn't
wearing shorts and a t-shirt, anything
like that. But hey, it happens. Uh, you
know, obviously you learn from it. And,
uh, that's the story. But, uh, if you

But now, one lesson I feel like I was
leaving out that I really wanted to
share, especially with this accident. It
really did make me reflect and think
about a bunch of uh different takeaways,
and it's just that you never know how
much time you have. So, make the most of
what you have in front of you. And I
know it's quite deep, but I do think
about this often. I think about my
mission. I think about what I want to
accomplish. And one of my biggest goals
when that time comes is to never be
laying there just thinking of what I
could have accomplished, what I could
have fulfilled. because I know that so
many people go through that. So,
consistently daytoday, my goal is to
take action to be able to help inspire
people, to be a great person, to have
amazing relationships, to have so much
impact on everyone around me. And even
the consistency of what we've built,
Josh and myself, often times when I
don't want to do something, I just think
about how many people can be changed
from that. And it's one of my deepest
missions to be able to help inspire,
impact, educate, and help people feel
their absolute best day-to-day. And
that's something that keeps me going.
There's a reason why we have over 5,000
transformations. It's because I really
want to be able to help support people.
Even when it comes down to it, every
podcast we've uploaded, we've done over
700 episodes, almost a thousand YouTube
videos, 2,000 Instagram post, daily
Instagram stories, it all comes back to
just wanting to have an impact and
wanting to be able to say, "Hey, when
that time comes, obviously a little bit
deep, I'm able to say, I made an impact.
I'm able to be fulfilled with
everything." So, kind of a deeper
reflection, but just something to think
about. Obviously, if someone's had a
scare, it's a lot easier to have that
thought process. But I really do believe
it's something pretty powerful when you
think, "Hey, there's going to be a
certain point in my life where I'm not
here. What do I want to accomplish? How
do I want to do it?" And it can honestly
be super motivating. So, that's
definitely one of the things that gets
me out of bed. So, a big lesson learned.
Obviously, a little bit of a scary one,
but I believe it can lead to huge impact
down the road. So, thank you so much.
