Hello our citizens. My name is Chris and
welcome to Brain Education TV. Today
we're going to do keyong flow for chest
congestion and lung health. This is
going to help us improve our breathing,
clear any stagnation around the chest,
around the shoulders, around the lymph
nodes, and help us to clear the overall
chest energy. So now to begin our
practice, we're going to open our feet
about shoulder width and really sink
into the ground. Strong knees. Tuck the
a little bend in the knees. Little tuck
of the tailbone. Feel strong to the
legs. Feel light through the upper body.
We're working on our lungs. So, we're
going to bring our focus to our lungs.
So, we can start to tap. So, you can tap
with palms. You can tap with fists.
So, you can tap strongly or gently
depending on what your body needs.
So through the tapping, we want to start
to release some of the heaviness, some
of the tension, shake up some of the
stagnant energy, but we also want to
bring our focus here. Bring your mind's
eye, bring your attention into your
lungs, and then bring your intention
into healing your lungs. Tapping and
with the breath,
release with a sigh. So the more heavy,
the more sticky, the more congested you
feel, make more sound.
Let that tension out out. So you might
feel some temperature changing, warm,
cold. Your hands may travel a little bit
around your chest as you find different
areas of tension. So start to bring your
focus. You're also welcome to close your
eyes. It will help you focus deeper
beyond just the chest muscles into the
organs. Organs. Organs. Good. So, feel
that buzzing. Good. Now, we're going to
focus a little bit more energy. So,
relax the hands down and with your
fingers, cup your fingers together like
a little bird's beak. And we're going to
tap right in this little indentation
under your collar bone. Start to tap
there. This is where the lung one lung
two meridians there or acupressure
points are right here the start of the
lung meridian and the lung meridian
travels all the way down to your thumb.
So if you extend through your thumb if
you bring special attention to your
thumb you may start to feel a little bit
more release especially when we get into
our flowing part. Good. So you're
tapping you're opening that area. So
some people it can be quite tender in
here. So if it is, that means we're lung
energy is not moving, chest energy is
not great. Our posture will probably
start to cave in a little bit more. So
we want to start to open. Good. And
slowly release that hand. Feel that side
compared to the other side. Bird beak on
the other side. And then tapping. Good.
So there's a little indentation right
under your collar bone almost just
inside your shoulder.
And breathe out. So you can tap
strongly, gently and notice that the two
sides can feel very different. All the
meridian goes down into the thumb. Good.
So as we focus on the physical tension
around the chest, put our mind in our
lungs. Visualize the meridian, we can do
lots of healing. Uh the combination of
mind, intention, focus, combination of
vibration, combination of breath and
sound, we can do a lot of great healing.
Good job. And then slowly stop. So bring
that focus in. Focus on the energy
coming all the way down to your thumbs,
flowing down your arms on both sides.
Relax your arms in front of you. You
want a little space under your armpits.
Your arms are almost floating. So we're
going to go into a gentle flow. Very
simple. You're going to start to inhale
your hands up like a Taichi opening. But
as you get to the level of your lung,
you're going to start to open your palms
like the hands are pushing away from
each other, opening your chest. As you
get here, you can lift your sternum a
little bit. Really feel the chest open.
Extend from the point we've been tapping
out to your thumb. You can extend
through the thumb. Feel that meridian.
And then as we exhale, our hands are
going to come back towards the lung
space and then down.
So with our breath, our inhale will take
us up
and out. Inhale, keep inhaling,
inhaling, inhaling. And then as you
exhale, your hands will come back
and down.
So you might have to move a little
faster to sink your breath. Focus on the
stretching and the opening, the
circulation.
Now, if that breath feels too long, it's
okay to inhale up,
exhale out.
Inhale in
and exhale down.
I'd like you to find the breath that
feels most natural to you.
And if you're comfortable with the flow,
start to close your eyes.
If you're feeling really heavy tension,
lots of healing, ah, use the exhale with
a firm sigh and a little sound.
If you're feeling like you're recharging
really well, then breathing in through
your nose
and out through your nose
can be the most powerful breathing. But
sometimes we have to build to there.
Keep your mind in your lungs.
Feel the energy
flowing through the meridians. Visualize
it. Feel the energy that your body is
moving through.
[Music]
So this flow here allows us to really
open the front side.
Now to create more space from our for
our lungs, we need to open the front
side and the back side.
Inhaling out.
Exhale in and down.
We're going to do two more before we get
to the back side.
[Music]
[Music]
And as you exhale, as your hands come
down, let them kind of float down. Relax
your shoulders. Good. So feel this
opening around the chest, the
circulation down the arms. Now what
we're going to do is we're going to roll
our hands. So the back of the hands face
each other. When I roll my hands, my
shoulders roll. My shoulder blades open.
I can feel an opening between my
shoulder blades. My spine wants to go
backwards. So we want to have a little
bit of focus on that back side all the
way down through our thumbs. Now similar
as we inhale, our hands are going to
rise to that lung height.
And then they're going to spin open,
opening up to the heavens. Let the
energy pour down.
And then as we exhale, our hands are
going to float back down to the lung
height. And then spiraling, back of the
hands face each other. Really open that
back side.
The lungs want to expand in all
directions, 360°. So we want to open the
front side and the back side.
Now here you might feel extending
through your thumb and your index finger
really helps to activate. The index
finger has the large intestine really
helps really partner to the lungs.
[Music]
So inhale
[Music]
all the way up
to the universe.
Exhale returning
[Music]
And if that's too long, too
uncomfortable with your breath, you can
inhale up to lung height.
Exhale
up to the universe.
Inhale back to lung height.
Exhale down. Twisting. More intense the
twist, the more you can clean a little
bit with your breath. Again,
[Music]
breathing out through your mouth helps
you to release
more heaviness.
If you're feeling quite challenged, keep
exhaling out through the mouth.
If it's become more comfortable, shift
to the nose. breathing in and out
through the nose.
You may feel some trembling, some
vibration, some temperature.
All the healing sensations are signs
that our energies changing and moving.
[Music]
We'll do three more times.
If you haven't closed your eyes yet,
this is a good time to close your eyes.
[Music]
[Music]
As you finish your third
flow, relax your arms. Now, feel that
buzzing in your hands, energy
circulating very well. And then bring
your hands up right in front of your
chest a couple inches away. No touching.
Relax your shoulders. Roll your
shoulders back. Lift your sternum
and start to pour energy into your
lungs. Closing your eyes is going to be
best.
Energy comes in through your feet, from
the earth, from the crown, through the
universe. It all fills your lungs. As
your lungs expand, your rib cage
expands, your hands push away slightly.
[Music]
As you exhale,
your hands will recede gently.
Put all focus into your lungs.
Visualize your lungs filling
with new, fresh, loving, healing energy.
Your breathing gets deeper.
You can feel the congestion melting
away.
[Music]
Now, gently start to sweep from your
lungs down your chest, down your
abdomen, rinsing away any stress and
tension. And then sweep down your arms.
Sweep wherever you need. Maybe it's the
back. Sometimes the standing can make us
feel a little heavy. We all feel that ah
new body. So as you come back to a
comfortable standing posture, feel your
improved posture. Feel your deeper
breath, the chest moving with every
breath. And then feel the general
well-being expanding. So with that,
we'll finish our practice today. We'll
bring our feet together, hands together,
and thank you.
