Hi guys and welcome to 10-minute Tai Chi with me, Ben.
Today we'll be doing the entire Tai Chi Ba Sha form.
This is about nine steps in total. We just want to get our body used to the
rhythm and the movement of this form. If you
do want a step-by-step breakdown of the form
you can check one of my older videos. I'll link them in the description.
Other than that we can get started. I'll be facing away from you
for this video so you can practice that along at home.
So we'll start with our feet together, hands nice and relaxed, body nice and
relaxed, face nice and relaxed. We can take a deep
inhale and on our exhale sinking down, stepping the left foot out,
shifting the weight onto the floor. The arms rise with the body and fall
with the body. Making a Chi ball, right hand on the
bottom, left on the top, twisting to the right,
changing the position of the hands, twisting to the left, opening up the
hands, wave across one
and wave across two, lifting up the left leg,
hands come across, step out, wave across one
and wave across two, this time reaching back with the right hand,
big circle and both hands will meet at the right hip,
turning to the left, pivoting on the heels,
reaching the hands out, opening up the body,
turning to the right, hands come up, push down
face the front, making a Chi ball, right hand on the bottom,
opening up the hands, circling with the arms, pushing straight down,
turning to the left, coming up, facing the front,
circling with the arms and down to make a Chi ball, turning to the right,
face the front, wave across one and wave across two,
strike with the elbow, three and dodge, step the left
and the right, open up the hands, block with the right,
bend with the left, then kick, step, grab,
hold back, hit with the shoulder, finish bringing the right hand around,
both hands to the left, right hand over to the right,
step over, gather the Chi, push down as we rise,
so we'll do this two more times together, feet together,
we inhale, taking a deep breath, preparing ourselves
and on our exhale, sinking down, stepping out
and rise with the body and fall with the body, making a Chi ball,
twisting to the left, opening up the hands to wave across
to the left, lifting up the left leg,
stepping out the left leg, reaching back with the right hand,
both hands at the hip, turning to the left,
guiding the hands out, opening up, turning to the right,
hands come up, pushing down, facing the front, making a Chi ball,
opening up the Chi ball, circling with the arm,
go straight down, turning to the left, coming up, turning to the right, the
hands brush past each other, wave across one,
wave across two, strike with the elbow three
and dodge, step the left and the right, opening up the hands, block one
and two, then kick, step, grab,
roll back, shoulder, finish, close the legs,
gather the Chi, push down as we rise and again,
inhale, preparing ourselves, exhale, sinking down, stepping out,
arms rise with the body, fall with the body, making a Chi ball,
twisting to the left, changing the position of the hands,
twisting to the right, waving across, reaching back with the right hand,
turning to the left, reaching the hands out,
opening up, turning to the right, hands come up,
pushing down, face the front with a Chi ball,
open up the arms, circling with the hand, push down, turning to the left,
coming up, turning to the right, the hands brush
past each other, wave across one and two,
strike with the elbow three and dodge, step the left,
right, open up the hands, block one, block two,
kick, step, grab, curling back,
strike with the shoulder and finish. So that was Tai Chi Basha,
hope you had fun practicing along at home, if you did like this video
