The UN Security Council has approved the
Gaza peace plan brokered by President
Trump that could now clear the way for
at least 20,000 international troops who
are ready to deploy into the Gaza Strip.
Entities Jason Perry has the details.
>> On Monday, international journalists
were allowed to visit the newly
established civil military coordination
center in Israel. This is where about
200 US troops are currently working
alongside the Israeli military and
delegations from other countries for
planning the stabilization and
reconstruction of Gaza. The plan also
includes the deployment of international
troops to the Gaza Strip as a
stabilization force. Secretary of State
Marco Rubio previously explained that
some of the countries, according to
their own laws, cannot deploy troops to
Gaza without a UN mandate. But that
could soon change. The United Nations
Security Council on Monday approved the
Gaza Peace Plan brokered by President
Trump. It could now clear the way for at
least 20,000 international troops ready
to deploy to the Gaza Strip. The plan
also offers a pathway to Palestinian
statehood, something Israel opposes.
>> For those that are recognizing a
Palestinian state after October 7th, and
currently as our people, our hostages
are still being held captive in the Gaza
Strip. You are rewarding terror with an
enormous prize. We will not allow a
launching pad for terror to be located
next to the Jewish state. And Israel's
Minister of National Security called for
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to
take unprecedented action if the UN
resolution is adopted.
>> If the UN recognizes this thing, you,
Mr. Prime Minister, must order targeted
assassinations of senior Palestinian
Authority officials who are terrorists
for all intents and purposes. And you,
Mr. Prime Minister, should order the
arrest of President of the Palestinian
Authority, Mahmud Abbas. There is a cell
ready for him in Katyad prison.
>> Meanwhile, New York City Mayor Eric
Adams was in Israel on Monday where he
met with Israeli officials, including
President Isaac Herszog, who said he'll
never forget when Adams visited Israel
after the Hamas terrorist attack on
October 7th.
>> Our city is more divided than it has
ever been. Uh but you must know that uh
we still consider Israel as an ally and
as a friend. And I'm here today as I
leave office to state I would not be
leaving uh my advocacy for Israel and
for the Jewish people all over the
globe.
>> The speaker of Israel's parliament said
that Adam's leadership in confronting
anti-semitism reflects true courage.
