I am Brad. I'm John.
Okay, we're going to do one of the requests that we have for Vartan.
There's a request from Waldo. Okay, Waldo can do it.
Yes, this is... I should put my little thing up.
Yes, this is actually from last year, last November,
was when Vartan popped this one up. It's an original one called Look in Your Eyes.
Oddly enough, because he's obviously keeping it in the Yanaha family a bit,
the music production on the video was done by Andre Grizzley.
The lyrics...
It says disclaimer from Brock Dead Lane. So I guess that's who wrote the lyrics.
So I guess that was not technically in the Yanaha family.
And the creator is listed as Tara Stan. So at least, you know, that's 50% or 75%
when you throw Vartan in as well.
I actually did look it up because I was curious.
And his highest place that I saw in competition was in 2009 at the Beatbox
Battle World Championship. He was second place in the solo event.
That was a long time ago.
Yeah. He's obviously been in other events and stuff.
That was just the highest one that I saw, which actually kind of surprises me.
That was only second.
Well, no, it's kind of like he hasn't been hired more often.
Well, yeah.
But then maybe he doesn't do the competition thing as much.
I mean, I know a lot of artists don't.
Well, I'm surprised he was second, so I can only imagine he was number one.
True.
I didn't think to actually look that up.
Yeah, I didn't think I would have to.
That's a good point. I probably should.
All right, let's check it out. Before we do, make sure you hit that like and subscribe.
Check out the description down below where you're going to find all our links,
information and stuff that we have down there.
This is just where we sit and like, huh?
Yeah. And of course, this is another one that's kind of like, it's short.
Because it's a beatbox thing.
That's right. We can ramble on about nothing.
That's true.
Okay, I'll show you the play.
Maybe.
Am I the only one to blame?
When people always shake for pain?
But everything falls on my
Sore back again
Am I the only one who cries?
Pauses.
Yeah, I forget how nice of an electric guitar that Bartang has.
It's got real good electric guitar sound there.
Yeah.
The distortion pedal thrown in there.
The one thing I don't ever forget is how Bartang has one of the nicest basses
out of all the beatboxers that we've reacted to.
Bartang seems to have one of the nicest, cleanest,
you know, real throaty, chesty bass sounds.
More so, it seems, than some of the others that we've reacted to so far.
Well, yeah.
I guess I should throw that one in there.
Throw a disclaimer in there.
Yeah, a disclaimer.
From the ones we've done.
Am I the only one who cries?
Put myself away from the lies?
The artist is the maritime
I look in your eyes
And there at the end,
nice enough to show off his other ability,
which seems to be a little bit better than quite a number of the other beatboxers.
The fact that he is able to sing and beatbox at the same time,
and, you know, keep those sounds kind of really distinct.
A lot of them are sort of, they can sing, and they can beatbox,
and they sing and beatbox at the same time.
It's just, I don't know, it seems like, you know,
Bartang's singing and beatboxing at the same time
just seems a little bit cleaner than others.
I'm trying to think of examples.
It's like Taurus, Stan, actually, is a good example.
He's good at singing and beatboxing at the same time,
making those sounds as he sings,
but, yeah, it just doesn't seem to be just quite as good as kind of thing.
In my opinion, I guess I should throw the
in my opinion disclaimer in there as well for people going,
well, I think it's always just our opinion.
Yes, I'm not going to sneeze, but, yeah, I like these original pieces as well.
I mean, I love the covers that he does, obviously,
but, you know, I like the original stuff because, you know,
it just lets them play more because they're not constrained with...
Right.
Oh, yeah, I can do this fun thing and this fun thing and this fun thing.
Yeah, but is that going to work if you're, you know,
doing a cover of, you know, this Beatles song?
Right.
Well, I liked all the microphones.
I thought that gave it a cool effect.
Like when I first started, I don't know,
it just reminded me like it was a big spider.
Gee, I was thinking, you know, one of those like press...
I was going, you know, one of those press conferences,
kind of like, you know, you always see more in movies than in real life,
but, you know, they're stepping up to the thing
and there's basically just this forest of microphones just go.
It's like you can barely see the person in the front.
I mean, obviously, if you watch like some of the old comedy movies,
then it's, you know, more pronounced like that,
where it's kind of like you literally can barely see the person
because it's literally just a forest of microphones in front of the camera.
Yeah.
I mean, once again, great performance by him.
I just find it amazing that anyone could do that.
Yeah.
Good.
So when actually what you mentioned with the videos as well,
he has such a great stage presence too.
Well, we're obviously definitely going to continue reacting to his stuff.
So if you want to see those, make sure you hit that like and subscribe.
