Classic Style; 11 Timeless, Elegant Spring-Summer Outfits ⁄ Oscar de la Renta, Goelia, J.Mclaughlin.

Hello everyone. Today I am doing a video all about spring summer fashion. I have pants, I have dresses, I have sweaters, cardigans, jackets, a variety of items. I also have a pair of shoes that I want to show you and at the end of this video I will be styling all of these items in outfits including belts, shoes, handbags, jewelry and everything will be linked down below in the description box as well as pinned to the top of comments and you can also always find everything on my blog along with lots of photographs. Why don't we start with a pair of shoes. I've had these for a while. These actually were from Steve Madden. I don't know if these exact ones are still available but I did find some very similar online and if I can find these I will link these as well. If you are familiar with the Valentino Rockstud flip-flops, they look very much like those but they are much more affordable and I don't wear these just at the pool or the beach. I wear them out. They look wonderful with shorts, with pants, with dresses, especially sun dresses and they're very comfortable. As you can see they have gold detailing on bows and they're just so cute and fun. I think they come in a variety of colors or at least one or two other colors I should say and I will link to them down below. My next item is a sweater set. Now I will say this is a spendy item. This is from Oscar de la Renta but I'm bringing it up because I do have quite a few luxury shoppers on my channel and on my blog and Instagram so I did want to let you know this is just such a beautiful print. It is a English Roses pattern and it's available in dresses, in cardigans, shell and a handbag as well. I got the skirt and I will put pictures on the screen. It also comes in other colors in the English Roses print and for those of you who are not interested in luxury I found some pretty floral cardigans online and I will show them on screen. One is blue and white with yellow. Another one is multicolored and both of these cardigans are on a white background. You can easily pair them with white jeans as you can this set. My next item is the top I'm wearing. This is from Goelia. It is a ten cell v-neck top. It has dolman short sleeves. What is so neat about it it is reversible so you can wear it with a v in the front or you can turn it around and wear it with the v in the back and it gives you a nice high neck sort of like a bateau neck if you put the back in the front. There are no tags in the back so that's why it works that way. I've worn it both ways. I've had this for a couple of weeks. It is as I said a ten cell material so it is a very comfortable beautiful material that does not wrinkle very much and it keeps its shape. It's just such a lovely lovely shape as you can see and because the sleeves are loose it's very cool in hot weather. My next item is also from Goelia and it is this cardigan. This is a black trimmed ivory cardigan. It is in a lady jacket style. You can see the trimming is all the way around the bottom on the sleeves down the front and around the collar. It has lovely gold buttons. Here are the gold buttons all the way down the front. There's the cuff. This cardigan is a blend. I will put the blend on screen and I ordered the size, what did I get, extra extra small. You can wear this with jeans or you can wear this with a beautiful pair of ivory trousers. It also looks cute with shorts. If you have Bermuda shorts in black or ivory, you can dress up a shorts outfit. The material is so luxurious. It's very cushiony and almost sponge-like and that allows it to keep its shape beautifully. So even though it's a sweater, it keeps its shape almost as well as a jacket. It has clear, gorgeous, are they clear or are they silver? No, I think they might be silver. Little baby tiny silver sequins. So subtle all the way around and even in daylight this sweater twinkles. Really so elegant. It can dress up any pair of white jeans but it also can look casual if you wear it with a white crew neck t-shirt. If you are interested, they are also offering a matching shell but this one is a non-cable knit so it's different slightly which makes it that much more interesting. Let me show these up close. So here's the cardigan. Can you see that gorgeous sparkle and the cable knitting? And then here is the shell. Isn't that so pretty? And they go beautifully together of course. I got the extra small in the cardigan and in the shell I got the small because I wanted the length and I wanted to make sure I got a bit of a looser fit in the shell because we have very hot weather in the summer here. So I wanted to make sure I had a looser fit, very comfortable shell. My next item is also from Goelia. It is a zip front cropped jacket in faux suede. It is a mauve colored taupe that I think is so attractive. It can be worn year-round because it's faux suede. It's also easy to care for. Gorgeous gold zip front. Gold buttons. These are real pockets. Gorgeous buttons. The button on the front pocket. It's a collar that can be worn up or down. Look at how seriously soft this is. The back. Do you see that sheen? It really looks like suede. The detail is really beautiful with that quilted lining. This is another piece that looks beautiful whether you style it in a casual way or a dressy way. Imagine this with white jeans or with dark wash jeans and loafers or pair it with white trousers or black trousers. It really is a gorgeous neutral color and I love the gold button detailing. There's not too much, just a little bit, and then the zipper is also gold. Right now, while the weather is still a little bit cooler, you can easily wear this inside, outside, keep it on outside. But when the weather gets warmer, you can still wear this jacket in the summer. It's perfect for going into a movie theater. Just throw it over your shoulders outside and then put it on inside. Or going into a restaurant, just pair it with whites, bright crisp whites, and then it's very much a summer look. Suede works all year round. It's just how you style it. This item is from Goelia's gorgeous Sheng Yun silk collection. It is a jacket or blazer. It's 100% Sheng Yun silk. This fabric uses an ancient Chinese method of dyeing the silk with plant-based dyes and it creates a beautiful, very unique texture to the material. So here you can see the texturing created by the dyeing process. It has a lovely gloss to it. Now, these lights give it even more of a gloss than really in real life, but it does have a very glossy finish. I have a pair of trousers in this Sheng Yun silk. They are so comfortable. They're high-waisted. I will put a picture of me wearing them on screen. And this is another one of their items. They have quite a few items in this fabric if you're interested. So this is a one-button blazer. It is a longer length, which is one reason I loved it. You can wear it as is or you can push the sleeves up to give it a more casual look. You can wear it with the collar up, but it is a softer fabric, so it's not going to be a stiff, structured look when you do that. That's one of the qualities of this silk that is so lovely. It has a beautiful drape to it. It is not stiff, but it is not flimsy either. I got the extra extra small. This item is in that Sheng Yun silk as well. Black. It is a pair of pull-on shorts. These are a longer length. They are so comfortable. And they have a faux zip front. So see the fabric is sewn to look like a zipper, but there is no zipper. So it is a flat front. Has deep pockets on the side. A pocket on the back. As I said, it's pull-on. The elastic is only on the back. And then it's flat on the front. What is so amazing about the detail at Goelia is some of the things they do that you don't even see. I didn't even know this detail was put in these shorts until I put my hands in the pockets. This pocket has a tiny pocket inside it for lipstick or some money. It's a pocket within a pocket. And this one has a pocket the size of, say, a cell phone within the pocket. So another pocket within a pocket. And it's a mesh fabric. So it's even a different fabric. So it breathes. So whatever you put in here, if it's sweaty, it has a breathable fabric. That's detail you just don't typically see in most clothing. And I love that about Goelia. So this is a classic style. It's more like a walking short or a Bermuda short, but a wider leg to look sort of like a skirt. And it has a very soft drape to it. I wore this pair of shorts to lunch with my husband, not this last weekend, but the weekend before. And the restaurant was very chilly, but I was very comfortable because it comes just far enough down on my knees that it, I mean on my thighs, that it keeps me from getting cold when I'm sitting down. And then I had a sweater over my shoulders. It's just such a great pair of shorts. You can dress them up. I show that outfit I wore at the end of this video, and I dressed them up. You can dress them down with a white cotton t-shirt, those flip-flops, and a baseball cap, a black baseball cap. It would look so cute. And they're so comfortable because they're a pull-on style. Size, I got size 27 or a 4, size 4, which is my typical size. Next, I have a pair of wide leg denim trousers. These are in a winter white or light ivory color. They are so comfortable. Now, this comes with them. It is a belt, and I wanted to show you how nicely, these are from Gualia, how nicely they are packaged. So, you get a little dust bag. The belt is wrapped up inside. It has a tag. I took that off. And then it comes in a protective sleeve. The belt is white with a brushed silver buckle. Now, I didn't use the belt in this video, but I just love that it comes with it if I want to use it. I used a belt with a gold buckle because I had gold accessories when I wore this outfit. But I just think that's so fabulous that it comes with a belt. So, if you don't have a white belt, now you do. As I said, these are in a denim material. They are a cotton lyocel. I believe a lyocel blend. Yes, 46% lyocel, 42% cotton, 12% hemp. They are soft, and because of the wide leg, they are very cool in hot weather. I'm not sure what you call this kind of pleat, but to me, it looks like a double pleat. So, that's what I'm calling it. Maybe any of you who sew, let me know what this is called. It's just so lovely. It gives it a beautiful drape. It's flat across the belly. So, here's the zipper. Here's the deep pocket. It has pockets on the back. These are real pockets. I ordered size 4 or 27, which is my normal size. Now, I also wanted to bring up another pair of trousers that I showed you last year. They are still available. In fact, they're very popular. So, they brought them back, and they are similar. If you want a wide leg, but not quite as wide, you have this pair. So, this has one pleat on each side of the zipper. Again, deep side pockets. It has bessem pockets on the back. Both of them have belt loops and front zippers. Both of these are timeless styles, whether it's a regular wide leg or a extra wide leg palazzo pant. They come back year after year. They're always in fashion. It's really just whichever is your choice, and I love having both because they are very different looks. I will say also that they're not extremely long. So, you don't have to worry if you're like me and don't have extra long legs. In both of these, I am a 27 size 4, and I will link to both of them down below in the description box. Next, I have a pair of pull-on pants, and these are from J. McLaughlin, and they are a stretch material. I got the size 4, and they are the Ivy pant. This particular print is still available, but it has now gone on sale, so I would act quickly if you're interested. As I said, it's a pull-on pant stretch material. It's a wonderful option to leggings. If you love the convenience and fit and comfort of a legging, but want to change it up, maybe have a bright color, this one is such a fun pair of pants. I wore these to lunch with my husband last weekend. They're so comfortable. So, they have pockets in the back, real pockets, but no pockets in the front. So, it gives it a smooth, smooth look, flat across the belly. They have a kick flare hem, so they're slightly cropped and have a slight flare to them, and this is in a fun pink and white print with bamboo, green bamboo leaves. This is available in this print, but there are other prints available as well. There's a navy and white print. They're solids. They're just so easy to style. You can throw on a t-shirt and a cardigan, throw on a sweatshirt, ballet flats or sandals. If you want to dress them up, you can put a silk blouse on in a light ivory or white, then maybe a light ivory or white cardigan, or if you have a pink cardigan in this color and some high heel gold sandals, it would be so pretty. Just a fun pair of pants. My next item is from Goelia, and it is this very pretty feminine spaghetti strap sundress. It's 100% cotton. It has a beautiful print on it. I love that it is small. It's not a big, huge print. The background is black. The flowers are a peach and ivory color, and the leaves are a soft celery or mint, in between mint and celery. It has a side zip, making it easy to get into, and these straps are adjustable, which is so nice. You can wear them longer or shorter. It is fitted nicely in the bodice, and then it flares out to an A-line, but a very broad A-line. Lots of fabric in the skirt, and it is a midi length, so it's below the knee. What makes it so special is it comes with several items to style with it. One is a scrunchie right here, scrunchie for your hair, or you can wear it on your wrist, and then this can be worn in your hair, or as a necklace. It has a magnet. I'll show this to you up close. It's so cute. So here is the scrunchie. It's a square, which is so unusual. It makes it look like a scarf in your hair, rather than a scrunchie, and then here is that other item. Let's put my wrist here. That can be a headband. It has a knot in the top. You can make it looser or tighter, that knot. See, it has sparkles all over it, so you could wear it as a necklace in the front if you want, or wear it in your hair with this on the top or on the side, and then that fun scrunchie, and then here is the dress and the adjustable straps. Now, if you're worried you'll get chilly when you're indoors, no need to worry because it also comes with a cardigan. So this is a wool blend cardigan. It's just a little bit of wool in a winter white. Goes beautifully with the dress. You can wear it over your shoulders or carry it in a handbag and wear it only if you need it. Over your shoulders is perfect, or just put it on when you're in a restaurant or in a place that's a bit chilly, or if you're out for the day and you're still out in the evening and it's getting chilly, then you can put on the cardigan. Because it has a little bit of wool, it really does keep you warm. And it's cropped, so it gives you a waist a little bit higher up, which is so flattering. It makes you look like you have longer legs, and because you're wearing a dress, you really can't tell where your legs start and your torso ends. So I love that look of a cropped cardigan with a dress. What size did I order? I ordered an extra small. I have two more items here that are also in 100% cotton. This is a set. It is an open work v-neck cardigan and a midi skirt. So here's the skirt underneath. They do come as a set. What was so great about this set is I need a bigger size when I have a two-piece set to fit my hips. If I were buying these separately, I would probably buy a four in the skirt and maybe the smallest size available in the cardigan. But when you buy a set, you have to consider which is your largest part of your body and order that size. So in my case, my hips. Well, because there's no seam on the shoulder, it works beautifully. I can size up in the sweater and not have it look funny on me because there's no seam. So this sweater just gives a beautiful relaxed drapey look to your skirt and sweater outfit. You can wear the sweater out or you can tuck in the front. You can wear it with a camisole underneath or if you are more daring, you can wear it without a camisole. I don't have a very large chest and I also have a very long torso so it falls on me about here so it doesn't show anything. So I'm wearing it at the end of the video without anything except for underclothes underneath. I'm wearing a bra underneath and that's it. Speaking of that, I would say make sure you wear a skin tone colored bra. I also wore a slip in a skin tone color. But if you don't want to wear a slip, you don't actually have to. It does have a slip. It's just a shorter length and you can see it and if you have sunlight behind you, you can see the difference between the skirt and the slip underneath in terms of the length difference. And they do that on purpose because a lot of women like to have a mini skirt look. But I wanted a longer slip because of my proportions. I wanted a longer length so I just wore a skin tone colored slip and you can't see it. It is, as I said, 100% cotton so it's so cool and comfortable because it's loose. You can wear it buttoned up or unbuttoned. It has gold shiny buttons. I like having a set because not only do I have an outfit here all ready to go, but I can take these items and wear them with other pieces in my wardrobe. This cardigan looks great with jeans, trousers, you name it. It is a peachy ivory. I think they call it ivory but it has a peach tone to it so I would say it's a soft peach color. And then the skirt, of course, you can wear with blouses, you can wear it with other sweaters. And my last item, the piece de resistance, is this dress from Goelia. It is a sleeveless midi length. It comes with a silky tie bow that you can remove, or I should say belt, which you can tie in a bow and it comes in this little package with it. I ordered size extra small and it's a two and I love the fit. It fits beautifully. Now normally a two would be a problem on my hips but because this flares out at the waist and becomes an a-line, it accommodates my wider hips. You can wear it without the belt and I thought of showing you that but I really love it the best with a belt to nip it in at the waist and it becomes a fit and flare style. But it does look lovely without the belt as well. It is a beautiful, beautiful design. It's a floral throughout. There's sleeveless. It is a pull-on style. There's that silky belt that I have tied in a bow. So it's the same lovely fabric all the way down and then look at the bottom. It has netting on the bottom with tiny, tiny, tiny sequins. Do you see the sparkle? There's that hem. Just so feminine and what I loved was the cardigan from the sun dress goes beautifully with this sleeveless dress. You see they're both in that winter white color. This is the cardigan that goes with the black peach and celery mint green spaghetti strap dress. Those are all the accessories that come with that dress. Well if you ordered that dress and this dress you would have a cardigan that works beautifully with it. It's definitely more dressy, beautiful for a garden party in the evening or during the day. You can wear it with little kitten heels or with high heel sandals.
