12 styling secrets that high-class women always follow. And I know this because I consider myself a high-class woman. I have plenty of high-class girlfriends and we all practice these 12 secrets. Now, actually, a few of these secrets in this video I've never talked about in the six years that I have had my YouTube channel. So you'll definitely wanna stick around and listen to all 12. So what this means is when they wear an outfit, they typically wear three colors, okay? Because three colors just creates interest in your outfit. It elevates your outfit and it just makes your outfit look more classy and more elegant. So the next time you get dressed, try incorporating this style secret and try wearing three different colors. One of my favorite ways to do this is actually wearing two different colors and then a subtle print to really tie in the two colors. This is really called marrying the colors. So when you throw in a print, you actually marry the two colors together and I absolutely love this tip. So as you'll see, the two colors in this outfit are chocolate brown and black and then the third color or slash pattern that I brought in is this fabulous zebra print handbag. And as you'll see, it really brought the outfit to life. This is a gorgeous black sweater dress. It is a high sort of neckline. It's form-fitting but not too tight so it's very classy. It's also really comfortable. You could wear it now with some easy kitten heels and then wear it later on like I have here with some fabulous brown suede boots, a black croc embossed bomber jacket because bomber jackets are a huge trend we're seeing this fall. And then again, I tied it in with that fabulous animal print handbag. So what a classic look, perfect for fall and winter and it does a great job of really showcasing that rule of three rule where it's either three different colors or two colors and a subtle print. Secret number two is high-class women always invest in high-quality skincare that actually works because classy women realize that your skin, your beautiful face is actually part of your whole energy, your whole vibe, your whole look. Style secret number three that all high-class women know in terms of balance is the rule of three and this rule of three is in regards to proportion. So they dress based on the proportion of their body. So you wanna do your outfit in thirds, not halves. The biggest mistake that a lot of women make is they divide their body into halves which is gonna make you look bigger than you really are, it's also gonna make you look shorter than you really are versus dividing your body into thirds which is done by wearing a cropped jacket, by tucking in your shirt, by adding a belt versus a longer jacket or an oversized shirt or leaving your shirt untucked like a long tunic which by the way, I just did a video on eight tops that are aging you. You definitely need to watch that. And a long tunic is one of the tops that I see women wearing most often that definitely age them because this divides your body in halves, not thirds. So when you're getting dressed every day, not only think of the rule of three in terms of colors but also in the way that you divide up your body. So as you'll see, I am dividing my body into thirds with this outfit because the jacket that I have on is cropped and I did tuck in my shirt. This is a fabulous denim jacket. It's under $100. It's a great wardrobe staple. I paired it with these amazing high-waisted trousers. Trousers are another thing that high-class women wear. These are very sophisticated and elegant looking. However, they're also very versatile, functional and comfortable. They come in multiple colors. I have them in tan as well. They travel really well because they have an elastic waist and they have pockets. Style secret number four is going monochrome. This is one of my favorite style secrets. I love dressing in all one color from head to toe. I think it's elegant and it's obviously very classy and it will make you look taller and slimmer as well which is always a plus. And this is a fabulous all black monochromatic outfit but as you'll see, I did the rule of three. I did black on black and then I added in the snake print and I guess the third color could be the metallic jewelry that I'm wearing which really elevates this outfit. This is a simple strapless black top. It's ribbed, it's wrinkle-free and then this is an amazing black maxi skirt. This one is from Quince. It's a very high quality. It is beautiful and by the way, silk maxi skirts are a huge fall trend we are seeing this season. I just did an amazing fall trend video. I will be sure and link that down below as well because you won't wanna miss that one. Then these snake print heels, very classy. However, they are like $30 if you can believe that. So such a steal for such a classy pair of heels which proves you don't need to spend an arm and a leg to look classy. Tip number five, classy women always know the best hemline length when they're wearing jeans. They also know where their dress hemlines should hit. You ever wanna choose a dress that hits you mid calf because typically mid calf is like the biggest part of your leg. So as you'll see, this dress hits me lower than that. So this is a perfect length. It's more of like a midi slash maxi length. It's not quite a maxi length. So I guess I would consider it a midi length but it certainly isn't too short because that's the main thing you wanna avoid. I love this dress. It's such a reasonable price. It's a very classy and elegant because it's wrinkle free. It's a neutral color and it's a form fitting dress but it's not too tight. Style secret number six, they also know which length to wear their denim. Classy women never wear their jeans too short at the mid calf because that makes them look frumpy and they never wear their jeans too long because that's also very sloppy because it creates puddling at the hemline and you never want that. So these Reformation wide leg jeans are basically like an eighth of an inch off the floor which is the perfect length when wearing wide leg denim. And by the way, the wide leg denim silhouette is the biggest denim trend we're gonna be seeing this fall and winter. But I love these wide leg jeans because they're high waisted and this light to medium wash is perfect to wear all year round. I paired them with this amazing chocolate brown high neck halter top, very elegant, very classy. This top would be perfect for a date night or a girl's night out. And of course I tucked it in and added a belt because this created the rule of three look. Basically I am dividing my body into thirds, not halves, which will always make you look taller, slimmer and classier. Style secret number seven is the shoulder check. So when you're wearing a jacket, classy women always check the shoulders. They make sure that the shoulders aren't too low, meaning the jacket is going to be too big or that the shoulders aren't too high, meaning that the jacket is going to be too small. So just make sure that when you're choosing a jacket, the shoulders hit you at the exact right spot. So this is a quince black bomber jacket and as you'll see, the shoulders hit me right at the end of my shoulder. They're not too low, they're not too high. So this jacket fits me perfectly, which means it's going to look very classy on me because of the fit, because high class women always, always, always wear well fitting clothes. I love this real leather jacket. I can't believe it's real leather because the price point is literally so budget friendly that you would think it was faux leather. So I'm blown away at the quality of this jacket for the price. I paired it over a navy blue tank top and then these are some fabulous dark rinse jeans by Quince. The price point is amazing on these jeans, literally like $50. So I cannot believe these jeans are such a good price because they fit and feel like designer denim. And then I just went with some black strappy heels. These do have a lowish heel. They're like two and a half inches. So very wearable and very comfortable. Style secret number eight is following the 70-30 rule. All high class women follow the 70-30 rule. And I might argue it's even going to be 80-20, is basically that 80% of your wardrobe should be made up of high quality basics and 20% of your wardrobe should be made up of trend pieces. You can do 70-30. It just depends on your personal taste. I would say me, since my style is a little bit more edgy than it is conservative, I'm probably more of a 70-30 girl. If you're more classic and conservative, you're probably more of a 80-20 girl. So leave me a comment down below and let me know which one you are. So the one trend piece in this outfit would be the cropped bomber jacket. This is a faux leather bomber jacket. And as you'll see, I am dividing my body in two thirds, which is why I look so tall and slim in this outfit. I love this bomber jacket. This would be another great outfit for travel because it's very casual, but it's also very classy. Style secret number nine that all classy women follow is they know that balance is key. They know that if they're going to wear a shorter skirt or a shorter dress, they're going to cover up the top portion of their body. And they know that if they're wearing a sleeveless top or a more fitted top and they're showing their arms, that they're going to cover the bottom portion of their body because this creates balance in their look. And of course it looks very classy. So because this is a short dress and it is strapless, I decided to bring a jacket with me to drape over this outfit. Now, does the dress still look classy without the jacket draped? It does. I think it does because the hemline's a little bit longer on me because I'm only five foot four and because it's not super tight around my thighs. But generally speaking, I did feel more classy when I had this cropped faux leather jacket draped over this beautiful Jonathan Simkhai dress. I love this dress. It is a really cool bustier top on top. And then the bottom is this beautiful bubble hem. It's a subtle bubble hem because I know I said I would never wear the bubble hem trend, but because this one is more subtle, I think it's absolutely fine and definitely looks classy. I actually wore this exact outfit on a first date and I felt extremely beautiful and very confident. Style tip number 10 all classy women follow is they wear seamless undergarments. They don't wear panties that are too thick so that their panty line shows, for example, when they wear white jeans. Classy women would never do this. I love wearing seamless underwear. Skims makes an amazing seamless thong that I literally live in because you can't see them through jeans or dresses. But if I do wear a form-fitting dress, I'm going to be wearing Spanx because Spanx really do a great job of holding everything in, smoothing everything out, and that is what a classy woman would do. I also wear nipple covers if I'm going to be wearing a tighter shirt or a dress or something like that because you certainly don't want to be showing your nipples because that is definitely not classy. So of course I have on my Spanx and I have on nipple covers with this fabulous black and brown dress. This is a great form-fitting dress. I think it's under $100, so such a reasonable price. This dress would be so fabulous to wear on a girls' night out or a date night. Tip number 11, and this is one I've never shared, and that is the handbag to body ratio. You want to make sure that your handbag isn't too big, that it overtakes your silhouette because classy women know this rule and they never carry huge handbags because what that can do is it can make you look frumpy, it can make you just basically disappear behind this ginormous handbag. A good rule of thumb is that the bottom of your handbag should never hit lower than your hip area. Style secret number 12 is layered necklaces. And yes, I have talked about this one before and I'm going to talk about it again because it's so important. It basically gives your outfit personality. It elongates the top portion of your body because you're drawing attention to your decollete area. And honestly, no matter what your size, we all have beautiful decolletes. So drawing attention to our necks and our decolletes is always a good idea. And even better if you choose a scoop neckline or a V neckline because again, this is going to elongate the top portion of your body, making you look taller and slimmer and classier. So I have on one of my favorite neck stacks with this outfit that I literally wear almost every single day. It's basically a tennis necklace and this gold bar necklace. I paired it with this fabulous faux fur baby blue jacket. I love this color for fall. You think of baby blue as a spring color, but it's actually going to be a really hot color this fall and winter. And faux fur is another big fashion trend we're seeing. I loved it paired with these amazing moosey jeans. These are high-waisted with a straight leg silhouette, a little bit edgy, but I still look classy because I tucked in my shirt. I did the rule of three in terms of breaking my body up into thirds instead of halves. And I really just love the way this look turned out. Okay, now here is the bonus tip that I've never mentioned on my channel, and that is choosing a signature scent because classy women always have a signature scent. They have a perfume that they swear by and that they use every single day. Mine is Queen of Silk by Creed. I got this about three months ago and I'm obsessed.
