New Born Must Haves for New Parents

welcome to D guide I'm Cooper and today we are talking about three products that will help you as a new parent these are the three things that help me the most uh we know it's an adjustment period when you bring your infant home from the hospital uh or you just have that new baby delivered there's a lot going through your mind so these are three products you can get ahead of time that are going to make your life as a new parent easier so the first one I want to talk about is actually a clothing item it's a two-way zipper 1z so what's the difference why is this product important and why was it a game Cher for me so first off when you bring that infant home the biggest thing I think I had to adjust to in that first period was uh just less sleep I'm a person I love to sleep uh so when you're getting up in the night you're changing diapers uh you're feeding these are all things that are a bit challenging at first so when you have all the things prepared uh to make that easier it's such a GameChanger so these two-way zipper onesies you don't have to expose the chest of the infant to the elements depending on what time of year it is it just makes it a little bit more cozy for them it keeps them the temperature they're already at you can put say a blanket over if you have a full onesie that you have to unzip you put a blanket over them it still startles them and it's still going to make them more awake during that process obviously when you're changing a diaper no matter what you are going to have an infant that is awake but the least amount of time that you spend on that change table the least amount of time that they're awake the better so these onesies you basically can zip up from the bottom and then it exposes their legs the diaper you can change the diaper and you can put them right back to sleep we didn't really discover this product right at the beginning we were probably about a month in when someone gave us one and when we got it we were just so impressed with how much easier made it you can have the snaps which is very typical but the snaps when you're putting them back on if they're wig it can be kind of challenging it also just takes longer so often you are taking longer to get them uh up out of their bassinet or out of the crib and it's just a it's a longer process it's also when you're sleepy uh you're maybe a little drye it's really hard to get those snaps as together where the zipper is just leg in second leg in zip up very simple very easy if it's a oneway zipper onesie those are probably the hardest uh because you have to completely unzip the onesie take their legs out and then they just completely exposed uh to outside air even if you put a blanket on you put another shirt whatever it might be it still startles them awake so two-way zipper onesies if there's one thing you can request this is such a small but important detail that is going to make your life that much easier as a new parent the second item I want to talk about is a convertible stroller and car seat uh combo we had the peg Paro one there's lots of different ones on the market you can do some research I do have a review I did of the one that we used but I think this is a product that is also really helpful so when you're carrying uh your infant from the car uh around maybe into a store or anything like that if they doze off obviously you don't want to let them sleep in there for a long time but uh often infants they do doze off in the car so this product these types of product you can just pop them car seat out directly onto a stroller and you can keep pushing them uh so it keeps that motion active if you're out doing grocery shopping other chores uh just out for a walk these are just such an important item that makes things so much easier cuz if you have to take them out of the car seat switch them over into a different stroller if you're going uh grocery shopping again something like that it just takes up more time they're going to wake up and then you're going to have to rest put them back to sleep and it's just a thing that I found we were given this as well and it just made life a lot easier we had a different version another car seat and a regular stroller that we used uh two in a different car and we didn't like it so we actually went and got the same adapter uh so we could easily switch with whatever car we were driving and it was just such an important item for us it's again infants are the hardest part at least personally I found is the Sleep process so so whenever you can have anything that makes that part a little bit easier uh even if it's 10% that's such an important uh aspect of being a new parent cuz that's probably the biggest change uh the rest of the changes you are making as a parent are all wonderful things uh sleep is just probably the most difficult part so if you can conquer that uh it makes the whole experience that much better the third item I want to talk about is another thing that's such a simple product that I never would have thought of and it's a baby wet wipe warmer so basically you get some distilled water you get the warmer you put the water in you put the wipes in and it keeps them nice and warm so again if you were going uh to the bathroom at night and you use a cold wet wipe it's probably fairly startling so like an infant they're going through the same thing so if you use the warm wet wipes it's not that startling it's kind of like a hug I would imagine so it's something that I would recommend we started using them as well and it helped a lot I was actually surprised at how much of a difference this product makes so it's something I would highly recommend they're not that expensive and they can make a huge difference so as a new parent you are looking for every Advantage uh you can get uh so you can ease into the new experience and these are all products that just make that that much easier and that I would highly recommend again it's something that just makes things incrementally uh easier and as a new parent myself these were all products that I wish I knew right at the beginning because they were Lifesavers
