2024 4 Moms Mamaroo Rocking Sleep Bassinet Review. Is it worth it?

hey there welcome to dad guide my name is cooper and today we're going to be reviewing the four moms mamaroo sleep bassinet uh so this is a rocking bassinet depending on what country you're from there's multiple options um personally we live in canada and there's basically two so there's the four moms uh the moderate sleep bassinet and there's the snoo i know or i believe in the states you can get the gray co rocking bassinet but that is not an option here as of yet in other countries it might be the same where you're basically up against a product that costs four times more than the mom maru so it's it's pricey as a new parent you might be thinking like is this really worth it uh putting out this kind of money for a product that is they're only going to be using for maybe up to six months typically um and i would say to that yes it is definitely worth it if you value your sleep so if you have a baby that maybe is a little bit fussier but most babies like to be held as i've learned as a new parent and it is hard to get them to sleep the second you kind of put them down and they're not moving or they're not feeling that warmth they typically wake up so uh this bassinet basically you have the five different settings so you have the car ride kangaroo tree swing rock-a-bye and wave just different types of motion personally our little guy really likes the rock-a-bye it seems to be hands-down his favorite and you have five levels for speed as well i don't really see the need to go much past one or two maybe uh if your child was very animated you might but our guy as soon as he starts fussing maybe uh in the middle of the night i just kind of turn it on once and he usually goes right back to sleep or i maybe he hasn't quite woken up yet i just turned on and it's like lights are back out so just love it uh the other thing i really like about this machine is it has a couple different sound options so there's four different sound options at different volume i so it helps get them get your baby kind of into a routine they hear that noise we kind of turn it on before we're planning on putting him in the bassinet that way he knows like okay it's time to start trying trying to wind down sleep a bit i found it to be very helpful there's still times where obviously fab is not going to like it no matter what so maybe you have a baby that this product isn't right for you but as a new parent we got this and it was probably one of the best things that we have i know um when i was researching it originally there are quite a few people that may have had issues with them they got shipped one that wasn't working personally we've had none of those kind of issues this thing has made none of those weird noises that i've seen in a couple other videos um so none of that no issues with one not working it worked from right away so i don't know if that was perhaps shipping if it was damaged and shipping or something like that but i know ours has been great no issues at all durability has been good it comes with one sleep mat like i'll show you here and this is not the bassinet cover that comes with it this is one that was given to us separately a little bit softer the one that it comes with it is a little more plasticky for washability which is nice but i like kind of the more softer texture it's a little bit more comfort for uh arlo so that's been that's been good uh and you can see the depth it's about called about an inch thick uh so enough padding they don't they recommend not putting any other padding in it due to suffocating issues that kind of stuff so obviously we would want to follow those uh directions give you pretty much a full instructions on how to put it together because it does come with the legs separate very easy very easy process takes under an hour for sure the mesh is two-sided so it's breathable so even if a baby does roll up against it it's not like they're going to suffocate there's still room to breathe so no issue there all in all i'd say this product is definitely i would definitely recommend it and i would definitely recommend a rocking bassinet no matter what um even if it wasn't this one i would say they are worth the money especially uh if you're like me and you like to get a bit of extra sleep and by extra sleep i mean for the first bit any sleep it's it's it's a great product so the sleep basin is also very mobile like it's it's light like it's not like you're going to take this with you when you go somewhere but you can move it from room to room with relative ease it is a little awkward because it's a little big to carry but very lightweight so it's not like you're carrying something that's like 50 pounds from room to room i can lift it by myself and remove it from the room
