Good morning, guys. I hope you're all doing well. Welcome back to my channel and welcome
back to a brand new video, brand new vlog for December. So we're feeling festive. Are
we all feeling in the Christmassy mood? I know I certainly am. I have a few, or a few,
two, I have two Christmassy homeware type events that I thought I could vlog over the
next couple of days. So I just didn't want to miss out on the opportunity of showing
you guys what I'm getting up to. So yeah, I thought I'd pick up the camera and start
a brand new vlog here today. I'm going to start with doing, it's actually more of like
an afternoon evening event that I've got over in Knutsford today. So I'll talk to you more
about that in a sec. But before I do, I've got a new phone case to add to my phone and
I thought I would show you because it's festive. The one that I've picked out, it's from a
brand called Caseco, which have very kindly partnered with me on today's video. And they've
sent me actually a whole selection of different cases. They've even got some sparkly ones,
but I'm a fan of the festive red. You guys know I've incorporated a lot more red into
my decor this year. So yeah, I'm feeling the red and the gold. So that is the case I'm
going to pop on today. This one is, I quite like the red with the clear, or do I go with
the gold? Maybe let's go full blown gold today. So the reason why I wanted to mention these
especially is because I think as great last minute kind of gift ideas, these would be
perfect. I say last minute, we've still got a couple of weeks. I know not everyone is
as organized as I like to be. Let me show you close up so you can see in detail. This
is, like I said, the Caseco. This is what they call the magic stand 360 in the Christmas
red. I've had a different color on for the last couple of weeks and I've been loving
it. So hence why I wanted to keep it, but just change it up for something a little more
festive. So this stand for me is what makes this different to any other cases on the market.
Because as you can see, you can pull out the stand here. It's a 360 kind of loop that allows
you to use it as a stand if you needed to watch something or needed to watch something,
if you wanted to watch something, or you could switch it on its side and have it sort of
landscape. If you're filming, like for me, for instance, if I'm filming a segment or
if you're cooking in the kitchen, you can have a little recipe or again, be watching
something on your phone. It allows you to just be hands-free. In fact, I even used my
other one last week for whilst I was out and about filming like me and Barney on a little
winter's walk, little mini tripod moment. The magnetic charging function allows you
to just click onto your magnetic charging stand. I've got in my car a, my car charges
my phone. So I have a little slot, which I pop it in. So that allows you to phone you
charge, phone you charge, charge your phone wire free, even with the phone case on. I
would share with you now, along with a link, which I'll leave in my description box so
that you can shop through. They're currently running a limited time sale. So hence the
reason to have a bit of urgency and be quick. If you did want to get your hands on one,
I'll leave my Amazon link in the description box below. That's where you can get them from.
This is a sort of prime example of buying a gift for someone that you kind of wish you
bought for yourself. So why not even treat yourself at the same time? But anyway, yeah,
thank you so much to Case Cooper very kindly working for my today's video and introducing
me to a brilliant function that is slim, minimal, perfect for someone like me who gets content
quite often and is often needing something like this on the back of their phone. This
one has been a bit of a game changer for me. So yeah, thanks to them. Right. I'm going
to, well I actually need to like freshen up, get changed. I might even do a hair up because
my hair is in need of a wash today. So sort myself out before heading out this afternoon,
afternoon, I was going to say slash evening, but it'll be afternoon by the time I set off.
And I'll bring you guys with me. It's getting dark so early now. It's 10 to four and I,
on route through to Neptune, well to Cotswold Company via Neptune, I drove past the Cheshire
Smokehouse, which is a farm shop, which I've not been to in ages. It's only small, fairly
local to us. It's the cutest little farm shop, but I thought I'd pop in. I was thinking about
maybe even grabbing something for dinner tonight, but given that I'm going to be, food's going
to be sat in the car for a couple of hours, maybe not. We'll see what there is. Um, if
not, I have got a cooler bag in the back actually, so I could do that. I'll have a look anyway,
but if not, even just a little browse, they sometimes have some cute little stocking fillers
and treats and Christmassy things. And I've not been in, in a while. So we'll have a quick
pop in here first before heading over to Neptune. And the event actually starts in 10 minutes,
but it's kind of like a pop in over a few hours type of event. So it's like open to
the public as well. So yeah, I thought I'd mention that before bringing you in to the
farm shop with me. Um, the rain has stopped thankfully because it was absolutely torrential
just as I was leaving. Fingers crossed it doesn't come back.
In the time of going from the farm shop to Neptune, it's now pitch black. I know it's
got like a blue hue on the screen, but no, it is pitch black. Um, but Neptune is looking
very festive. So let's go in and have a look and see what's inside. I can see all the Christmas
trees. It just looks like a cosy home that you just want to go in and have a nice home
and cook a meal in. Let's go.
Merry Christmas, baby.
The snow is laying two feet deep.
Now wish upon a falling star.
So all your secret dreams can come true.
There's something that has been slain.
I feel like I want to say I've come bearing gifts, but unfortunately they're for me. So
a gift from me to me. I am, well it's a new day firstly.
I thought I would share with you what I got yesterday. It ended up being quite a late
night yesterday. So I didn't get to show you the bits that I got from the event that I
went to at Cotswold Company. Um, I didn't expect this, but they very kindly gifted me
a few fun things from the event. So I thought I would, well I had to share them with you.
Firstly, this stocking, which in itself I think is so affordable for what it is. So
it's 15 pounds and it's this beautiful, uh, it's kind of like linen on top with the little
embroidered Christmas tree and a dark olive green kind of like velvety texture. But how
nice is that as a stocking anyway? But they were doing personalization at the store if
you bought one and they actually gave me this. So yeah, so grateful for that. But 15 pounds
I thought was really reasonable anyway. And they did a little FF in red writing. They
also gave me a little bottle of Prosecco and also a, which one are you? I feel like there's
two types of people in this world. Can you all guess which one I am? A little chocolate
marshmallow or hot chocolate stick and also a candle. I had a smell of their candles.
They have some really nice scents. This was in Flower Garden, so not seasonal at all,
even though the colour would suggest otherwise. I suppose green's nice in spring, summer as
well, but that is definitely one that I'm going to keep for that time of the year because
it is not festive at all. That is definitely more spring, summer. They've also included
one of their directories to have a little flick through. The lady that was there doing
them, this is her handle, Kathy underscore illustration. Lastly, this photo frame, which
I had a quick look at last night when I got home and it is gorgeous. Just got Cotswold
company on the back, but I love the fact that it's like an easel style so you can put it
anywhere. You don't have to hang it. Well, I mean it does have a hanger if you wanted
to, but you don't have to. You can just pop it anywhere and it comes with a little border
as well. I'm going to pop a nice photo in that. It's given me a bit of inspiration to,
we're a bit early here, but in the new year, have a bit of a home reset, reorganise and
restyle. I get that bug every year. Every January to February, January to March, I want
to say, obviously they talk about new year, new me, but you've just had a hectic time
of year. So actually just take January to chill, but you've also got the argument of
like spring is a time of new beginnings. So actually that's the time to do it all. But
yeah, between January and March, I always get this bug every year to just honestly,
I want the sort your life team, sort your life out team from BBC to just come in. Stacy
Solomon to just come and take everything out my house and then just lay everything
out, look at it all and then just start afresh and put things in places that I think, yes,
that's lovely there. It's staying there. Everything has a home. That's kind of the mindset that
I get. Not yet. I'm thinking ahead of the game here because we still got Christmas.
So let's just enjoy Christmas and just not worry about that kind of thing now. But anyway,
that is definitely going to be a new little proper edition on my shelf somewhere. And
then I also went to, well, I went to the farm shop first, didn't I? And let me show you
the bits I got from there. Did I get something? Oh, I got some crisps, which I've put away
already because I actually opened them last night and had some. So they're in the cupboard.
I've got a fun selection of snacks from the farm shop. And firstly, well, not so much
snack, but more drink. These tea pigs, I love the peppermint one that they do. So I grabbed
a box of these, but then I also saw this flavour, pumpkin spice chai. And I like the fact that
these, as it says, they're naturally caffeine free. It's a nice way to have like an evening
herbal tea without having any caffeine. These two I thought would be fun to have on Christmas
day, Boxing Day, any kind of cheese board additions. These both sounded amazing, so
I picked them both up. Firstly, this one, which is quince like jelly, quince jam for
a cheese board. This is the nicest addition to a cheese board ever. If you've never tried
quince jelly, do they call it jelly or jam? Just quince, just quince. And then this is
essentially a fig cake, do they call it? Dried figs and walnuts cake. It was £6.65.
This is kind of pricey. Farm shops always are though, aren't they? The quince was same.
Yeah. These are bougie cheese board additions. And then also saw these snacks, which just
sounded so interesting. I think Tom would like these as well. They're croissant crisps.
Never heard of anything like that before. Now these I did buy for myself and I've had,
these are a real, I'm going to say it, they're a Christmas present to myself. From me, to
me, for me, for only me, because they are excellent. I've made the mistake one year
of buying these, I think to include in the gift buy video. They're good. They are really,
really good. So they're from the, I don't know how you pronounce that brand, is it Charbonnel
and Walker? These are Yule Logs that they do. They are the nicest chocolate. In fact,
I think I remember giving one to Tom and saying, how nice are these? And he was like, yeah,
they're all right. I was like, right, you're not having any more because they're far too
expensive for you to say, yeah, they're all right. I love them. They remind me of, they're
like a, how do you describe, like a praline kind of texture. They're quite solid, not
like crunchy solid, but oh my God, I can't wait. Just to clean my teeth though, so I'm
not going to ruin that. But yeah, that's what they look like. They literally have designed
them to look like mini Yule Logs, but you don't get many. And go on, place your bets.
How much are these? I'm actually ashamed to admit it. How many did you get in here?
Six. They're 14 pounds. Moving on. Then I went to Neptune and oh, is this a new colour?
I don't recognise this colour. It's like a, in the store I thought it was like a chocolate
brown, but it's actually got a bit of a purpley plum kind of tone to it. But I thought I'd
bought one of these and I couldn't find it anywhere. So either I put it somewhere safe
for Christmas time and I've not got it out this year and I can't find it and I'll probably
come across it at some point, or I didn't actually buy this. So when I saw it in stores,
I was like, I am going to get this because I have their tea towels. I just really like
them. They're like linen-y, just rustic kind of feeling tea towels all year round with
the Neptune in. It's kind of like a navy colour. I'll show you. See, like a kind of
dark navy thread. So I have these for all year round, but then I thought it'd be nice
to have a red version for Christmas. Now at the minute I've got the Ralph Lauren tartan
ones that I got from HomeSense, but even sat next to it, that could look really nice. So
I thought I would grab a red version. These are 35 pounds. Yeah, they're kind of pricey
for a tea towel, incredibly, but I just really like them. And I could be ruthless and again,
talking New Year and talking ahead of the game now, but when I'm having a bit of a sort
out, I could be ruthless and getting rid of a load of like old tea towels and actually
using and getting out the nice ones because there's no point spending 35 pounds on a tea
towel and not even putting it to good use. And then when I went to Booz on Route home,
I just picked up some Christmas cards. Might even take these home for Christmas. We'll
see if they last. They might not. We've got some stolen bites. We've got some brownies
and blondies and my personal fave. Now this is my third box of these this year, considering
they didn't do them last year. When I first saw that they came out, I grabbed one back
in November, I think it was. And then Tom surprised me a couple of weeks ago by bringing
one and we shared them. So I've grabbed another before they stopped them after Christmas.
They look like chocolate puddings, but they're just a chocolate truffle essentially. And
I need to hide these ones somewhere. I've also, can you see my bunch of flowers as well?
I've worked with Freddie's flowers while I'm working with Freddie's flowers. How pretty
is that? This isn't part of the collaboration obviously, but this is called the Burgundy
Kiss Showstopper and it is so pretty. I did get sent something new. Let me go in and get
it to show you. I'm yet to obviously use it because it is still in its packaging, but
I got sent this from a brand called Aeropress for a coffee drinker, if you're a coffee fan.
This is the Complete Travel Coffee System Go Plus. This is in the colour cream and they
essentially, you unpack to brew, add coffee and water, press coffee into tumbler, drink,
pack and go. So everything that you need comes in it. So I'm really intrigued by this.
I'm going to get Tom to have a go with it and see what he thinks. Like I said, given
he usually kind of starts to have a little filter, a little fresh coffee brewed, and
then you can have this essentially once you've, the idea is once you've pressed it down and
done your coffee, you then just have the lid that you can attach and you're good to go.
In fact, it was last Christmas that he got into it with his new coffee machine especially.
So I will wait for him to get home. He is, he's just taking Barney golfing. We are going
to be going golfing tomorrow. I've booked us on before he goes away. I thought let's
get a round of golfing before he goes. And so he's taking Barney with him this morning.
But yeah, tomorrow we actually have a little pop in event at HomeSense before we go off
and do a round of golf. So I might pick up my camera again tomorrow. I feel like I've
just interrupted this vlog with a quick haul, but I will pick up the camera again tomorrow
and take you with us to that event at HomeSense because it's going to be a bit festive. I
think they said there's a couple of like market stalls there. We get a little hamper or something
and Tom's invited as well, which will be fun. So I'll see you guys in the morning for
hopefully a fun little festive family day.
Good morning. It is a new day. We are heading to HomeSense this morning for, hello Barney.
Hey little Barney, you cutie pie. So I've got like my base layer on for golf. In fact,
I'm going to take a gilet today because it was really cold last time. Yeah, but wasn't
it 10 degrees last time? But just windy. I'll take it anyway just so that I've got it. And
then this top I have, I feel like I've been living in this top. I've ordered something
similar from And Other Stories, like a cape so that I've got an alternative because I
wear this all the time. It's from Zara, but I got it last year I want to say. And then
I'll just pop on some boots and then I will take, should I take my new trainers for golf?
Tom's bought me some new trainers for Christmas. We've opened them early this year because
obviously he's going away. So yeah, we can test run my new trainers. I'm having a very
lazy breakfast this morning. A grab and go because we need to set off. Oops, just dropped
a bit. One of these Deliciously Ella breakfast bars with this, I like the lemon and poppy
seed one, but I'm all out of them. So this is the cacao and almond oat bar with crunchy
almond pieces. So that's our breakfast. I think there might even be a little bit of
food there. I think they've just got like a Christmassy event on today to open to the
public from 11, but we've been invited down from nine so that we get to like kind of preview
it. And I think they've got market stalls there or at least a market stall with some
foodie bits. So that should be interesting. I'm surprised they've done it so late. You
know, like you'd have thought they'd have done it maybe as they introduced Christmas
into the stores or something. Anyway, let's go.
Lovely, thank you.
Got my new shoes on, ready to go. With Barney and Tommy. I kind of don't want to get them
dirty though. We've got no battery on here today, so we're having to push. We're out
of charge. It might just do nine holes, but we're at Northenden, our club, and we're ready
to tee off. Hello. Are you excited? Do you like golf? This is my tee. This is what ball
I use. Callaway 3 or Kirkland, what are they called? Like super soft ones. Tom's giving
me these tees because my tees were too short apparently. I just kept, well, missing it,
but watch me miss the ball this time anyway. I always have a cap, so I do feel like I'm
missing something today. They're really smart. You like them? Matching. Matching. Oh, I just
don't. Look, they're already dirty. Oh, it's pain. Yeah, I know they're meant to and I
can rinse them off, but it pains me to dirty up new shoes. Oh, Freya. Try doing it the
proper way. You're happy with that, aren't you? So the way that we often play is basketball
because I just, my drive, I can never, even with a good drive, I can never get the distance.
So I usually, not usually, but sometimes we'll just go off basketball and go off Tom's
drive. Wait a minute, Barney. See if I can zoom into where my ball is. Can you see it
there? Let me use my finger. That's where my ball is. Where did yours go? In the trees.
Oh, might have to just take my ball then. Taking shelter. I reckon that's all right,
you know. Bounced onto the green. This is the benefit I was saying to Tom about being
a member now because where I was, oh, I'm struggling here with the trolley. Where I
was never a member anywhere before, if I was playing, oh my gosh, I'm struggling with this.
Oh, hold on. Let me just get this trolley moving. It has a little bit of battery left
so we're clinging on. Oh, I'm trying to vlog whilst directing it in the right direction.
Um, yeah, whilst where I was never a member anywhere before, if I was paying for a round
of golf, I felt like I needed to play the full 18 to get my money's worth or not play
at all. So I had to be really in the mood for it. Whereas now it's just like, I think
we're just going to do nine today. It's raining a bit, drizzling a bit. So I'll pop the brolly
up and I'm just walking for a minute. Um, letting Tom just play. You know, I could just
take a couple of shots because I'm on a one. So anyway, that's what I'm doing. Taking a
bit of shelter. We're just talking about what we're going to have for dinner tonight. And
I think, well this afternoon, I think we're going to do toad in the hole, which is such
a comfort meal for me. Just watch those two and a half tub. Um, such a comfort meal for
me. With maybe some mash, some broccoli. Oh yeah, but Tom, quick. He's just let it go.
Wait a minute.
Freshly cleaned, showered, feeling good. I wanted to show you the hamper that I got.
Basically you're allowed to pick all items from a selection of different items that they
had. So, so, um, these are the ones that I went for and they did actually give us both
a voucher. So I'll be having both of them.
You've got two vouchers.
So I'll be spending those. You don't get 10% anyway. Um, but the doors didn't open for
um, shopping for like another couple of hours and we weren't able to spend them whilst we
were in there. And plus we didn't have time anyway because we were golfing. We were straight
to the golf course, had a lovely round. It got a bit wet, but we called it at nine, didn't
we? Uh, nine holes. Anyway, right. So the hamper itself I'm going to keep because I
think I will use this kit as a hamper for someone this year. And the four gifts that
I went for, they had these from Harvey Nichols, which again is a gift I thought would look
lovely. Just a little stocking for that.
Yeah. I got the mulled wine from there as well. But this is tea, white tea with mango.
Sorry?
You know what's on that you're missing?
What?
All this.
Oh right, we'll put it on. Vinyl?
Vinyl, yes. It's what I was supposed to be at.
This is nice. This is a, this works candle. I think we weren't allowed to pick four of
the same items either because otherwise I think a lot of people would have gone for
these candles. They had loads of different scents. I didn't know which ones to go for,
but I just went for neroli and ginger because I thought although the ginger's spicy, good
for this time of year, if you're gifting that to someone then they can use it whenever.
I've got a little bunny. Oh, there is a price on this one. $2.99 and it's not a bunny. I
always call it a limp bunny. It's a reindeer. And then both Chess and I, Chess if you're
watching. So lovely to meet her. I will leave her Instagram handle below. Her and Helena
as well. We were having a good chinwag and a good catch up in the queue for the ham for
making. So we both got one of these each and they were the last two as well I think. What
are you making there? Onion gravy? Yeah. And this is from, tis the season, Kashmir
Spice. Is it a DW? It is a DW home candle, but it comes in a bauble and I just think
that looks lovely. It smells nice too. And then what I'll do is I'll take you back in
store with me when I go in to spend the voucher. We've just got some TV on in the background.
Right, Formula One. Should we get that on? I'll show you our dinner when it's ready.
I'm very much looking forward to this. A nice wholesome dinner, warm, comforting. Tom's
been a bit under the weather, haven't you? So we're looking forward to a home cooked
meal. Here we go. We're on team McLaren. Come on Lando. There's a couple of these names
I don't know. Kimmy, Charles Leclerc, Oscar Piastri, Vanda Norris. That's who we're rooting
for. Team McLaren. But yeah, ever since Drive to Survive on Netflix, that's what got me
into a little bit. Proper Sunday today. Sunday, Sunday. Sausages for Barney. They're for you.
You've cuddled up with your Christmas penguin. Christmas penguin. You cutie. You cutie.
Unless something drastic happens now. He's got it. Lando Norris, final lap. Are you done?
I'm out. You're out. I know I'm saying he looks like he's having it, and you're like
what? He's third. But we're talking about the overall. He needs to finish third to win
overall. That's Piastri. And then Norris. He's done it. Meanwhile, defeated. I'm so
full, but it's so yummy. So delicious. What better way to end this video than in front
of the Christmas tree. I hope you guys have enjoyed today's vlog. As always, I would really
appreciate a thumbs up if you did, and a subscribe if you haven't already subscribed
to my channel. And also, thank you once again to CaseQ for very kindly sponsoring today's
video. This phone case I showed you at the start of my video, where I have been loving
the functionality that this phone case brings. I will leave my Amazon link in the description
box below, where you can get yourself a great deal. And I would definitely recommend the
Festive Santa red, but of course they have loads of other colors available as well. I
might even treat myself to a couple more to take me through into 2026. So yeah, thanks
to them. Thanks to you guys for watching, and I will hope to see you very, very soon
in my next video. Bye guys.
