How To Receive | Rhema Seed TV Podcast with Don & Melinda Boyer

Hey, everyone. We want to welcome you to our podcast today. I am your host, Dawn Boyer. And I'm Melinda Boyer, and we've got some exciting, exciting podcasts for you today. Hey, let me ask you, have you ever had a nagging problem that just wouldn't go away? A situation that you try to fix, you prayed about it, you fasted about it, you try to exercise your faith and this thing would not move? Well, I think we've all been there at one time. And that's the thing that we're going to deep dive in today's podcast. We'll be right back. So when we talk about mountains, which Jesus talked about, speak to this mountain, he was talking about challenges. So there's a scripture in Mark 11, 23 and 24. Why don't you read that for us? Because a lot of people have a misunderstanding about that. Well, I can see why. I mean, a mountain's pretty big to be moved, right? That's pretty permanent. Yeah. Okay. So Mark 11, 23 says, For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass. He shall have whatsoever he saith. Now that is saying a lot right there in that particular scripture. Now people have misused that, they put labels on it. They say, you know, people use that to name it and claim it and to blab it and grab it. But there's a much more powerful concept in what Jesus was conveying there. So he said that whosoever shall say to this mountain, Be thou removed, and cast into the sea, doesn't doubt in his heart, it shall be removed. But he said whatsoever things you desire when you pray, now believe that you receive them and you will have them. Now there's a big difference between receiving and manifestation or receiving them and having them. Christians think that that means the same thing and it doesn't. When you receive something, that's one part of it, of the equation, but then there comes the part of manifestation. For instance, you are a master at receiving things from Amazon Prime. One day she says to me, hey, can I order some paint supplies? Now I'm thinking paint supplies, yeah, no problem. I'm thinking a couple of brushes, maybe a marker, maybe even some paper. So about a week later, we go to the office, and as I walk in the front, the receptionist tells me, and I walk in, and the receptionist says, hey, you have some packages. Now there was about 12 packages, 12 or 13 packages there. And the receptionist tells me, oh, you have a package. I said, well, which one? She says, all of them. I said, oh, what do you mean all of them? I said, there's like 12 packages here. She said, yeah, they're all yours. I said, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. I did not order no 12 packages of nothing. She said, well, they have Melinda's name on it. I go upstairs, and I say, hey, I thought you said you were going to order some supplies. There's like 12 or 13 boxes down there. I said, yeah, that's my supplies. I didn't know you were going to start an academy, right, for arts for the entire state of California. Hey, I know how to manifest. So receiving now is one thing, but manifestation is a whole different thing. And this is where people get caught up. So when we ask for whatever we desire when we pray, if we believe that we're going to receive them right there and we receive them, he said that we will have them or they will manifest. So what happens when you order something from Amazon Prime? You order it. You have no doubt that it's coming because you have so much experience in that lane, but you expect it. Yeah, absolutely. We always ask, you know, Roman, hey, did we get anything from Amazon? Because you are expecting that package because you know the manifestation is on its way. Well, I think people lose the fact because with Amazon, you can track it, right? You know when it's going to come. You can track the promises right here too. Yeah, but most people, but because people can't visually see it. If they got eyeballs and they just read the Bible, they can see it. I mean, Captain One-Eyed Jack could see it. But most people don't see that that way. Well, exactly. You know, that's where they have to go back and take a look and see what are you really seeing? Yeah. Because it's just that we walk by faith, not by sight. So we have to use the eyes of faith. And if you need a physical demonstration or evidence. You have to make sure that that dot moves into the, it's on its way mode, you know? Because I think people get stuck there. They don't see that, that it's out for delivery. You see, not exactly. It's out for, isn't it amazing that we have more? We have more faith than Amazon Prime. I mean, you know, we have more faith in the postal service. God bless them. Right? They are trying. But you know, most of the time, they'll get your package there. But we don't sit around, unless you live in where we live in Lytle Creek, up in the mountains, biting our fingernails, wondering if the post office is going to deliver our mail. Yeah. Well, see, that's why I go to Amazon Prime, because I can see it out for delivery. Exactly. So, but can't we have that much faith in God? Yeah, we should, absolutely. When he said, what sort of things you desire when you pray? If you believe that you receive them, he didn't say, if you see them and then believe them. He said, if you believe that you receive them, you'll see them, you will have them. You will manifest them. They will come in this physical domain. Now, when we order from Amazon Prime, we don't see the package in the warehouse itself. We see a picture of it, or a description of it. And when they take the money off the card, here we go with the money. We don't see that, right? But we know the package is coming. Yes. It's on its way. So we will even have corresponding actions, meaning that we will start doing things because we know that package is going to come. Right. It'll be here by five. It'll be, yeah. And I think most of the people say, okay, it may be out for delivery, but the timing issue, I think that's where people get stuck, because everybody wants everything now. It's like Amazon Prime. Oh yeah, I could get it tomorrow, right? That's not how I think God works. I mean, you can have it now. You do have it now in substance. In substance, yes. But here's the thing, the reason why the harvest takes longer is because they keep hitting the cancel button. Doubt is the cancel button. I like that. If you go to Amazon and make an order, and then you cancel the order, it's not going to come. And then you get back online and say, well, I'm going to order it again. And then you cancel it again. It will stop the whole process. So Jesus said, if you say to this mountain, be thou removed and cast into the sea and doubt not in your heart, keep your finger off the cancel button. And it will come faster. So the delay is because we're doubting. Oh, I like that. So if you think about this, people will refund things and God is saying, I'm giving it to you. Here it comes. And right when they're thinking that they're going to get the manifestation right, they're already thinking, oh, it's not coming. So they've already transported this to God saying, I'm refunding this because I haven't got it yet. Right. And it's on the way. I mean, I've seen this over and over and over again in our business, where that we have employees, right, that we're ready to just give them everything, their own card, their own car, their own everything to help us run our business. And then they go crazy on us. Good God Almighty. I mean, but think about this. These kids, I call them kids because they're a lot younger than I am, than our kids age. But these kids are wanting things and asking for it. And they are just about ready to get it. And then they cancel their order. Yeah, they blow it. They blow it. And that's how we do when we are expecting things of the promises of God. Right when it's about ready to be delivered, we say something, we do something, or we get in the way of its manifestation. And here's where people cancel it, is they start looking at things and start saying. Physically, right? They start looking at the physical evidence of things. And the moment you put your eyes on physical evidence, it's over. You just hit the cancel button. Just like when Peter was on a boat and he saw Jesus walking on the water and said, Jesus, if it's you, bid me to come. And he says, come. And he started walking on water until his physical senses became aware of the wind and the waves. And his conscious mind said, human beings can't walk on water. So he started doubting. The moment he doubted, he hit the cancel button and he began to sink. Now thank God it was Jesus walking on the water because he saved him. Had it been me, I would have let the guy drown. So you better be glad it was Jesus. I just don't understand, I guess I do. People want things right away. People want things right away on Amazon. I don't want to wait a week, I want them now. This is going to be really a mind shift for believers, for all of you. And it's going to really help you. We talk about our show called Rhema CTV. We talk about rhema. And we know that the word rhema is a Greek word that is translated word in English. But over in John it says, in the beginning was the word and the word was God and was with God and became made flesh. That also was translated word, but that is a Greek word called logos. So the logos is the written word of the Bible. But the spoken word or the rhema word of God is him actually speaking to you that you hear his voice. And it's there in Romans that says that faith comes by hearing, not the logos. That's why people quote scriptures and nothing happens. People say on Jesus name and Jesus name, nothing happens because they are using the logos. There is no miracle working power in just the logos. It has to be the spoken word. So watch all the miracles that Jesus did. He spoke it out. It was the spoken or the rhema word. So when we use and hear God's voice specifically to us, that's where faith comes in and we don't have any doubt. We don't say, I don't know if it's going to come. Time is now not even in an equation, part of the equation anymore because we know. We know, we know, we know, just like when we order on Amazon, it's coming. So we don't have any question. I think some people may even hear the rhema word, right? But the fear sets in. Fear sets in. Just like Peter. He heard the rhema word. Jesus gave him the rhema word, come. But he saw all the things around him and he got fearful. The distractions. I think that's something that all of us need to be aware of, the distractions around us. Because if you're hearing the word of God telling you something and believing, and you have that belief already, but the distractions around you are telling you, no way. This is why it's so important. Who are we hanging out with? Who are we surrounding ourselves with? Because if you are in the word of God and the other people that you hang out with are not in the word of God, that's distraction. And I like that. These subjects that we're talking about on this podcast, these are such anointed topics and words and discussions. I mean, here's where life is. Jesus said, the words I speak to you, they are spirit and they are life. And not criticizing the world, but you got people out there, you know, Howard Stern out there, and he's got millions of people listening to his dabbly-doo. And he's a very good entertainer. But not my style, but the fact of the matter is there's no life in that, yet millions of people surround that and listen to that. We need to start getting into podcasts and we need to start getting into programs that bring us life, that renew our mind, right? And help us understand facts and things that everybody's afraid to face and talk about, right? Of like, I don't really have the faith, or I don't really believe this, or I want to believe it, but it's really hard to believe it. We got to find those solutions and not be afraid to talk about them. Well, I like that you say that because I think that that has been an issue for so long because there has been that, I don't want to talk about that, I don't want to go there. You know, or I don't want you to know who I'm hanging out with, but I'm in the Word of God. You know, but I'm in the Word of God now, but I'm hanging out with craziness on this side. Well, yeah, and that's true. And here's where the whole area of why believers miss it and get all messed up. They listen to the devil way, way too much, right? And the fact of the matter is when you break fellowship with the Holy Spirit, you're going to revert back to your old ways of the flesh. And it's going to get you in trouble, it's going to get you to do the things that you don't want to do. But God is always there to restore us, right? And when we fall into those areas... And I think that's a cancel button, too. That's what? It's a cancel button. It is a cancel button. It is a big cancel button. A big cancel button for the stuff that is about you're ready to receive from the Lord. Exactly. Right when he's ready to hand out the goodies, you know, we fall over, bored. But the fact of the matter is when we're talking about all these things and we begin to understand the fact that there is a difference between receiving it and manifesting it, and we understand that when God... See, people will read the Word and they'll go to the Scripture, you know, my God shall supply all my need according to his riches, right? They'll quote that, but they don't believe that. They're hoping it, but they really don't believe it. Most people say that they do, though. Because they want to believe it? Yeah. They're hoping they can believe it? Mm-hmm. They're hoping that somebody will buy the lie that they bought themselves that they believe it? But the fact is they don't believe it, right? And when we just talk about that, it's because we're trying to use logos to build our faith. But when you get into a fellowship, and you start communing with the Holy Spirit, and he starts speaking to you the Rhema Word, it's at that point that that Scripture will come alive. Yeah. And you'll know that you know that you know that you are in his provision blessing. Oh, you know, I think you have to know that you're hearing God, or ask God, you know, I need to hear your voice. I think that's one of the things that I struggled with for many years, you know, is am I hearing God? Or am I hearing an intuition, or a lie, or anything, you know? But I think now I go into prayer knowing that I'm going to hear the Word of God. Hearing his voice. Hearing his voice, you know, and guiding me to, you know, looking for certain Scriptures, guiding me through that, you know, and knowing that it's him guiding me through it. And when I, you know, sometimes I don't even know that I'm finding these things until afterwards, I'm like, wow, thank you, Lord, because I know that's you. And his voice, you know, there are different levels. And, you know, God will talk to all of us what level that we're at. Yeah. Sometimes he'll talk to people. Sometimes he'll talk to us through a book. Yeah. Or a program, a podcast. Maybe, you know, something that the pastor taught on. But the ultimate way that we should all be hearing God's voice is him speaking to us directly. But we have to set the time to spend time with him. Yes. It is a time of intimacy with him. And if we don't take time for that, we're not going to hear his voice. You know, it's interesting because I never knew, you know, for many, many years, even though I followed the Lord, you know, I went to Catholic school and I've always been, children have always been attracted to me. And you know this. They've always been attracted to me and I never understood why. But, you know, now I know that I have the light of the Lord in me and he's with me all the time. And these little children see that. Exactly. They can see that. Yeah. That's why they were attracted to Jesus. Yeah. They saw the light in him. And, you know, coming back in the whole area, God designed all of us to live an optimal life. Absolutely. Right. And this area of struggle and sickness and disease and just having a hard time is really an unnecessary part. Meaning that, yes, we're going to always have persecution, but we have dominion over them. Yes. We need to learn to take authority over those areas and not tolerate it. You know, whatever you tolerate is going to stick around. And stop hitting that darn cancel button. Exactly. When you believe and ask God for something, keep the finger off the nuke button, right? Don't hit the nuclear muscle that's going to destroy that blessing from manifesting. So we're just about out of time. Well, you know, I think one of the things that I like to tell everybody is, you know, stay strong in your faith. And hey, look, there's a lot of things that I will say that sometimes may be offensive or come across wrong. You think? And, you know, sometimes I will get in trouble for that. It's not the first time. I doubt it will be the last time. But the fact of the matter is we love you from the bottom of our heart. We pray for you every single day. And you know what?
