Hello guys! Welcome back to my channel. In this video I want to share with you some
self-development tips that helped me to become a better version of myself.
And I hope they will help you too. All of these ideas are simple to implement,
but they have a significant weight in personal growth. So, to start with, let's talk about what
self-development is and divide it into key categories. Body, mind, space around you,
your social wellness, finances, environment and nature, spirit, and work and fulfillment.
You can find this checklist on my website. As a true homebody, I've added a category
space to this list. For me, this is one of the foundations that serves my self-development
journey. When I'm surrounded by beauty and cleanliness, I feel daily motivation. But
when my home is cluttered and untidy, I definitely just can't concentrate. Is it the same for you,
or it doesn't matter for you how your home looks like? It seems like everyone should feel this way,
but when I was looking for different blog posts on this topic, there was really little said about
the home or nothing at all, talking about self-development. So, in this video I wanted
to start with that. This is where I personally find a lot of inspiration in philosophy of
minimalism. Here are some books that have inspired me and I recommend them to you.
I am far from being 100% minimalist with no possessions at all. No, it's not about me. I
definitely love cute, beautiful things that are pleasing to the eye, but I always try to keep my
home in a minimalist style and as clean as possible. By the way, I definitely would like
to recommend you this home decor idea. You just need to place it in direct sunlight and your entire
apartment will be filled with these beautiful sunbeams. Our cats definitely love it too.
These small daily things bring me so much joy and are so important in this path of self-development,
because in the end that's what life is all about. These small daily moments and daily routines.
And here I would like to touch on the topic of enjoying the process. It's great to exercise not
from the hate perspective body of yourself, but out of love and enjoyment. Only in this way I
think you can achieve long-term positive results. What do you think about this? Overall, I think
mindset is the foundation of everything in life. It's what needs to be understood before starting
to work on yourself. First, there should be internal work and only then external. And there
are so many tools for working on your mindset and improving it. For example, one of these kind of
things is psychotherapy. I was in therapy for a year and it personally helped me to get to know
myself better and deal with past traumas and negative aspects of my life. And right now I feel
so much better, so much more freedom in life. I know myself better, I know what I want in the
future. Also, journaling helps me a lot and this is for free. I just write down some thoughts every
day to unload my mind and I have several notebooks for this. For example, this five-minute journal
is aimed at straightening positive thinking through daily gratitude and focusing on the
positive. I also have this affirmation card and this kind of affirmations help keep the focus on
positive thoughts daily and remind of important things. The next important aspect of self-development
is the body. Working on the body is definitely an integral part of self-development. Now I'm almost
25 and I already feel how much my body has changed compared to when I was 16 or even 20 years old,
when it didn't take any effort to feel and look great. Sports were not part of my life at all.
I always was into art and I thought that sport is for someone else. Now I definitely understand the
importance of sports and movement and looking for various ways to incorporate sports into my life
and enjoy it. This year I've tried more types of exercise than in my entire life. I tried yoga,
aerial yoga, running, paddle, pilates. I also try to exercise regularly at home to do some basic
simple activities and the main thing is to do it mindfully and with love. Another important aspect
is style and wardrobe. I believe that clothing and finding your style are also essential parts
of self-development. In my case, I understand that I don't strive to buy expensive things
and my goal is different. I want to find a balance so that I look the way I like but at the same time
clothes serves me, not the other way around. I definitely love natural materials such as
linen and cotton. They're pleasant to the skin and the most crucial point in self-development journey
is health and nutrition. My girlfriend and I eat the same and we constantly strive to eat
more healthy. And here you can see a corner in our kitchen that I recently set up with new
kitchen tools for inspiration. These bottles are from the Japanese brand Kinto. This brand has a
lot of beautiful ceramics and different kitchen appliances. I think it's important from time to
time prioritize homemade food and definitely eat less sugar. I love making homemade banana bread
to replace sweets with healthier alternatives. We also stocked up recently on various healthy
supplements for example like spirulina, blueberry powder, chia seeds, organic cocoa.
I also noticed a difference when I regularly take vitamins and supplements. It's important
to consult with a doctor before taking them. Me and my girlfriend also have a ritual with matcha
Before we always loved to drink teas but now we are in love with matcha. Another important
part of the wellness journey is skincare routine. Here are some of my favorite brands at the moment.
Now I'm always using paper towels instead of regular ones for my face and my skin has become
much clearer. I also like this fan hack to quickly dry my face. And the last aspect I would like to
discuss today is nature. It's so important in the modern world where most of us are constantly in
our gadgets to go outside. For me it is essential ritual to go outside every day. I work for myself
and I work from home and sometimes I don't feel like going anywhere. I really can't be at home
for a month but every time I go out I feel lighter and more at ease both in my body and mind. What
about you? Are you a homebody? Is it also important for you to force yourself to go out every day
somewhere? Thank you so much guys for being with me in this video. Subscribe to my channel so you
don't miss new ones. Share your thoughts in the comments it's really interesting for me to read
them. Always stay inspired and see you in the next videos.
