Good morning brothers and sisters
The scripture passage we will
examine today is Joel 2:28 and 29
The topic is the pouring out of the Spirit
In the second chapter of Joel verse twenty-eight: "
After that I will pour out
my Spirit on all flesh your
sons and daughters will speak in tongues your old men
will dream dreams your young men will see visions "
In those days I will pour out my Spirit on my servants and my maidservants
We have many strange ideas about
God We read about it in the Bible
God spoke to Abraham
God led Moses and the people
The ten plagues were inflicted on the Egyptians
The exodus through the Red Sea
Various miracles were very impressive to watc
This image speaks like this person speaks
but it doesn't speak
like us not even once
Why can some people experience so many
miracles as if they can always talk to God
But why does such a thing not happen to us
It's a pity weren't born in earlier times
when there were often prophets
who could hear God's words
How wonderful that would have been
It's actually a big misunderstanding
called the protagonist
perspective bias In ancient times even before the birth of Jesus that era
had no flush toilets or the
internet but in many ways it
was actually similar to our time
There was not much difference God's words were given to
the prophets who wrote the books But they did not reach
the majority of people in general Even before the birth
of the Lord there was a period
of about four hundred years
God did not even speak to any prophet
perhaps except in the time of Moses when many
people could feel the inspiration of God
and Miriam and Aaron could also feel God
Korah also believed that they could receive
inspiration but in most
of the following eras only
a few people could feel the sâu words and how
many people could feel them is a big question
In this place in Jursu an era is
mentioned where many people will feel
the Spirit of God God says "I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh "
All flesh is every person
The Spirit of God will pour out on every person
Yet even if poured out
it does not mean everyone will drink
some may be waterproof
even so
There are still many who can benefit from this spiritual feast
Here it also tells us
who can benefit
and what they can receive
Your children will prophesy
Your old men will dream dreams
Your young men will see visions
These children old men and young men here
Separation consists of three generations: childhood
old age and middle age I don't know why Yorsu uses
this order Maybe it has to do with the rhyme in the
language Children obviously refer to youth and children
The youngest generation the youth as the Hebrews
called it is from when
children begin to grow up until
they become old those are the young people which
is equivalent to what we
call the period of youth
However unlike the age judgment we use
the youth and old age here probably
do not refer to our physical age on earth
but rather to our spiritual maturity
Spiritual maturity begins in the early stages of growth where
prophecy can be experienced Be
aware that the original text does
not use the verb
"to say" as in the Chinese translation Prophecy
is being able to sense God's words and then speak them out
Whether or not there is a prophecy about
what will happen in the future the Chinese
translation of the word "prophecy" has a misleading component So
the young will see visions
That is from language and awareness to being able
to have visual experiences then for the elderly
to be able to have vid dreams this is from
visions to being able to move within the time axis
From our current understanding
we know that transmitting
voice and images requires gradually increasing
bandwidth The earliest telephones could only
transmit voice and then we could send a few pictures
Finally the video could be sent The difference
here is the required bandwidth Therefore
prophetic visions and dreams are not three
different things They are
all connections from God
It's just the thickness
of the pipe the difference
is in the bandwidth the
more immature the spiritual
level the thinner the connection as spiritual
life grows the connection with God becomes broader
In the end God still reminds with one
more word: In those days I will pour
out my Spirit on my servants and my
maidservants who are
the people God uses
We can simply say that the male
is a servant and the female is a
handmaid In short God wants
to freely and generously supply His Spirit
fully to those who are willing to receive it
Especially those used by God should be
greatly connected with the Spirit of God
receiving gifts and power from God
giving thanks and
praise to our Lord Amen
