The final firings of 2025 with all the new glaze combos for 2026 including some new whale pieces and platters.
[laughter]
Good morning and happy new year. Happy
new year and um happy potting for
another 12 months. Let's hope. So um so
I've got a little kiln to unload here
and I'm not sure what else will go in
this video since I'm only just starting
it. Uh [snorts] sometimes I do kilma
loadings with other things, but um but I
have um a bunch of leftover pieces
um from my tests that I've been doing
recently, including some chicken roast
pans, which you saw in my last uh
actually, was that the last video? No,
last but one video. I did one just
around uh just before Christmas, and it
had the bottles that go with these. So,
these have that bird bottle sort of um
source bottle basically. And I made
these with a new clay from pottery
supply house. Um I used to use Laguna
number 80 to do these and now I'm using
a red stone wear from Pottery Supply
House and it works great. Really nice
tanmaku gold there with variegated moon
blue and oatmeal.
Um and there's the bright blue viegated
blue and oatmeal again.
Yeah, the clay looks almost identical to
the number 80 from Laguna. It throws
really well. [snorts] I'll have to give
you the number. I think it's 500. And
there's also 505. There's two red stone
wares that pottery supply house makes.
There we go. And that uh that one is Oh,
let me just show you these. This is the
new the bright blue that from Mastering
Conc Glazes. And this is that new bright
blue that I just mixed up. They're very
similar and all that. I think I still
prefer this one, but this one is very
usable.
And this was using an old glaze that uh
used to crack off the pieces when it was
drying. So, I've been mixing it 50/50
with another glaze. And it's working
good.
My goal this year is to use up all of
that glaze, all of my slop green glaze,
and all of my uh fake ash glaze, which
works okay, but it's never been really
great. [snorts]
Um, these are two balls
just Oh, that's still stuck on there.
There's one that I fired without a
stilt. That's interesting. But, um, and
this one with a stilt. both with bright
blue, variegated blue and oatmeal.
Maybe it was a bit wasn't a bit tall.
Okay, mouse gray strontium crystal magic
dipped halfway down then mouse gray to
the level you can see um with a little
bit of oatmeal and uh don't think
there's any variegated blue on that one.
[snorts] Um over the speckled clay 455
from pottery supply house with some
really nice chattering.
>> [snorts]
>> There was a still a prop still on the
bottom of that kil shelf. I always
wiggle my shells, but I didn't do it
that time.
And that just shows you what can happen.
But it didn't fall on anything, so I was
lucky.
In the past, I've had major pieces get
broken by a film prop. [snorts]
Okay,
here's one we didn't see in those last
batch of firing. So, I put a purple with
strontium crystal magic
and
variegated blue and oatmeal over the
top. Uh, and it doesn't make the purple
run a lot. So, that's really nice. But
it really does some nice stuff with the
upper half there with the strontium
crystal magic.
Yeah, it didn't since it didn't run as
much. I wonder if I could do this all
the way down.
That would be very interesting. I've got
to make notes. My videos become my
notes. And here's another one.
And another one. I usually do four. When
I'm doing tests, I like to do Oh, a
little bit of crawling happened there.
I'll have to dab some glaze on that and
refire it. Let's put this one on this
side. Here's another one of those
experiments with the slop slip.
Oh, that's nice.
Yeah, I left it smooth and then put
little bands down and scraped it.
I'm really trying to create, as I said
in the other videos before Christmas,
some pieces that kind of a much more
natural rock like. And the chattering,
of course, is really nice on that one,
too.
We live on the ocean and we've got rocks
everywhere.
[snorts] They're just uh from the
glacial period when they pulled them all
down and piled them up. Anytime you dig
here, you hit big boulders.
That's very pretty, too. Bright blue,
variegated blue, and oatmeal overtoning
crystal magic.
Same again.
God, look at the thickness of the glaze.
It's a great contrast with that and in
that
I am so overloaded with tea balls cuz
I've enjoyed playing with them and I
love making them. I [snorts] have to
quit now.
It's a shame, but
they sell much slower than mugs,
but I've never had them this nice, so
maybe that will be a difference. Here's
another one with the piled up slip.
It's not rough to handle. I mean, oh,
phone's ringing.
Okay, I'm back. I had to Somebody needed
to know where to get some elements for a
kiln, and I sent them to Pottery Supply
House cuz Pottery Supply House will make
any set of elements you want as long as
you have the model and serial number of
your kil.
Bright blue. That one doesn't have any
strong crystal magic. This is the usual
oatmeal and variegated blue on it.
Variegated blue. So, but it ran. Yes, it
did. Yeah, variegated blue. E,
I just have three of these to grind now
cuz I have another one. Probably going
to be four cuz I did batches of four.
But it's got strontium crystal magic on
it which makes it run even more. And it
ran all the way except for anywhere but
just there by the handle where it
gathers even more.
Another bright blue. You've seen
millions of these over the years. It's
consistent. It's my bestselling mug.
And another large platter.
It's bright blue
dipped poured that way and poured this
way with strontton crystal magic applied
first poured across there and up across
the other side. Very blue in minute. I
think I had two of these. I had one in
earlier on. But the front and crystal
magic is kind of nice. It's totally
matte with a touch of a sheen. So not
totally matte, you know, partially
matte. It's a pretty glaze.
Soft warm color.
Okay,
two more layers to go.
This one is mouse gray poured that way
and this way. First it was applied with
strontian crystal magic this way and
this way and then where they overlap you
get the other colors and then variegated
blue in the middle. [snorts] So that's a
nice piece too.
I had a video showing how I made these
handles, too, if anybody's interested.
It's on I think it was doing chipper
dips,
matte turquoise,
stunting crystal magic first, matte
turquoise, then variegated blue oatmeal.
So, we get lots of runs, but it's
interesting. It doesn't like to run over
the matte turquoise. So, it's a nice
safe way of doing it.
The purple and this matte turquoise work
really good.
And you got the matte quality of these,
which is very nice to touch.
Wow.
It'll be interesting to see whether
people respond to these next year when I
put them out. I'm going to do special
displays of all these pieces and colors
[snorts] uh in the gallery. I'm going to
empty the downstairs and put everything
upstairs from last from last year. So
that the new year coming, we'll have all
the new pieces downstairs.
Yellow
with crystal magic. Really pretty. This
is that really nice combination.
There's a yellow tea bowl.
This new yellow and white is much more
warm. I'll keep both. But um but this
one is definitely different. Lots of the
slip applied there.
It's kind of nice cuz you grip it on the
points [snorts] of higher texture. So,
it's nice to be able to hold.
Right. Uh, is this my new blue? I think
this got a bit bright blue on your blue.
They're so similar.
Oh, runs variegated blue again. But only
one of [snorts] any significance. I bet
I could even break that off. But I'm
going to grind it so I don't snap the
foot.
It's like you can hold it by the run.
Isn't that funny the way it did that?
But [snorts] I'm going to have to be
very careful grinding that so I don't
break the foot.
Otherwise, it'll be mine.
But yeah, variegated blue is the one
glaze we have to be careful of. This one
is variegated blue, too. And we got
lucky cuz it didn't run.
But it would tell me if to do this
again, instead of strontium crystal
magic to the halfway point, I'll just do
it to a third when I'm doing the
variegated blue ones. And then maybe we
won't get quite as bad a run to the
Especially this one didn't do the
handle. That's nice. Got lucky.
Okay, another. This one is variegated
blue
um within crystal magic here and here.
And then variegated blue there and
there. And the [snorts] bowl is also
variegated blue. So, did it run off the
handles? Nope, it didn't. Cuz I sponged
the bottom of these. So, that that's why
you see a bit of a texture on the
bottom.
So, it didn't build up thick enough. But
nice piece.
This has a very rocklike feel, doesn't
it? Colors of rock.
Another
[snorts]
one of the yellow ones.
[clears throat]
Blue, green, copper, red.
All have string strontium crystal magic
and variegated blue and oatmeal dipped
on the top.
Another one. Blue, green, copper, red.
Let's go through these quick.
And that's a nice one. Bright blue.
A chun green.
That one definitely looks good with this
combination of glazes.
Apple green. Got a real mixture in this
which has that yellow line again. Very
strong. That's the iron in the rootile
doing that.
Same again.
Oo, we got a little run to off the apple
green. Can be quite runny, too. But I'll
just take a minute to glaze to grind
that one down.
Apple green again.
Apple green again. How many more runs do
we have? Just a tiny bit there. It's all
where the handle is.
Just get yourself a little bench grinder
when you grind your pots and wear a
mask.
That turquoise.
And that's the last one in the kiln.
This is my little kiln. I was finishing
off firing a bunch of pieces. Um, so I
have some more of the In fact, I have
the rest of these little jars. If I can
get the stems off there.
You do not even have to twist them. They
just come off instantly. So, if you want
to release your lids really easily,
aluminum hydrate is the way to do it.
Just don't put too much on and then you
have to take it outside and brush it so
you don't breathe that dust in.
But they the lids sink down. They're a
little tighter with that powder when you
put them on, but in the firing they seem
to sink down and they just pop right
off.
Uh these are this is an order. Somebody
wanted a little set of dishes for like
sushi.
So I made a bunch of tiny little trays
that they can pick from. Just doing
multiple glazing [snorts] pack sort of
checkering kind of look.
And there's a little one of my new soft
yellows. I am so much happier with this
yellow. Just instantly comes off. And
the inside, because it's a tin based
glaze, my liner glaze has a little
pinkish blush, which is quite nice with
that yellow.
There's another one.
Wow, I'm so happy that I do this
aluminum hydrate thing. And nothing fell
on the inside because I placed it on the
outer edge of that join. So remember
that. It'll save you having to refire
everything, which is what I did here.
Oh, look. The tin gave it a sort of a
dusty pink color in there.
Tin's expensive, but it's the best
opacifier out there. So,
another dusty pink one. The chattering
is really gorgeous on all of these. This
one spec, this is bright blue, which
shows the chattering up fairly well.
Wow. Boy, that's nice.
Folk Art White also shows up the
chattering super well.
So, if you need any end of year tax
deductions, this is the guy to get these
tools from. It's
artisanpotterytools.com.
That's a really tight lid.
Temple gold is the glaze that Wow, look
at the outside though.
That's really pretty. And then the
chattering as well. Wow. That's that
floating I do with that potato peeler
tool.
And then another matte turquoise
[laughter]
instant.
Another
one of the tenu gold with that really
nice effect on the outside.
So I'm quite thin. I guess that's what's
doing that.
[laughter]
I don't have to tap them with a hammer
or they just pop right off.
This is Ry's red glaze which I glazed
really thickly. It's got a reddish glow,
but it's not really deep red. I used to
have a special firing profile for that,
but it got kind of expensive to do, and
they don't sell very well. The Ry's red
is not a high selling color, but you get
a little hints of red everywhere in the
regular firing program that I'm doing
here.
Oh, those are pretty.
more of the little blue dishes.
She's going to be happy with these. I
did a commission and I do twice what
they need whenever I do a commission.
So, I always know I'm going to get one
of them hopefully successful. Um,
so there's four of each of these plates.
I think there's two of them in the other
kiln I'm unloading later in this video
probably. But this was very pretty.
Another one of the bigger ones here.
Says bright blue, variegated blue, and
oatmeal.
And then these ones, I was just doing
random dips at the edges to kind of get
like little checkerboard effect.
Oh, the red did do really well in this
one. So, it always looks nice on the
inside of things, too. Got some back
wash to grind off a little bit. That's
why it was stuck, I guess, a little bit
as well. But, um, but that turned out
really nice and red.
And then two more
of the little dishes.
Oh, I forgot to leave a little square in
the center. I think that sets it up when
you have the Too bad.
I do have to do a bit of a soak when I'm
doing Ry's red. a slow cool and a soak
to give you this nice deep sort of red
color. Sort of iron red. Really nice red
though. Too bad it doesn't sell better.
I've really loved that ever since I
discovered the glaze.
I found it. There's several recipes for
it on the internet.
And this is nice too. Last long.
It's a folk art white one with a little
green on the rim. I like the way that
line comes across there. I double
dipped. Oh, actually I poured it from
both sides. [snorts] So that's why you
got a little overlapping there, which is
kind of nice. All right, that's that
kil.
Okay, this is uh I think will be the
last kil in this little video. Um
chicken roasters. You saw the bottles
earlier in the video. This is using that
new uh clay from pottery supply house
>> [snorts]
>> uh 560 I think it is. It's a brown red
stone wear. It made the tenuku gold go a
little golder I guess but um but that's
expected cuz it's a dark clay body.
[snorts]
And uh another one in the blue and that
that clay body seems to be doing really
nice. So,
and then another one. So, I have a bunch
of these if anybody's interested because
of that. I showed you how to make them
though, so maybe you can just make your
own.
[snorts] And here
are the last two of those dishes that
lady wanted. This will be nice. This
this will be a nice little sushi set
that uh she can pick the whichever size
she would like. And there's two sizes.
A little surprising, but uh should
expect this. [snorts] Um
this is my new yellow. Um not the bright
yellow. So I poured strontium crystal
magic this way and then held it the
other way and poured it that way.
[snorts] And then I poured yellow that
way and poured yellow this way. Um, and
where they overlap.
Um,
I don't know if I had any oatmeal in
this, but I'm getting chrome tin pink
from a piece in here that obviously has
chrome in it. Uh, in this piece. Um, and
I think there's oatmeal.
I Oh, what's right? I remember when I
was holding it down this, I took a yoga
cotton full and I simply splashed
holding it really to splashed up oatmeal
and so it ran back down. So that's why
we've got that in those two locations.
Uh but it's interesting because where
the oatmeal is on its own, there's no
chrome tin pink. Where it's overlapping
the yellow and the crystal magic here,
you get some chrome tin pink. That is
surprising. See, it's all chemistry.
And then this is apple green just
sponged over the edges of the piece
here.
But um but it looks really pretty.
That's a summer platter, isn't it? Wow.
You can see that full of strawberries.
[snorts]
Hey, so these are just regular mugs. So
I should just pick up There's the one
with the chrome in it. So that mug
affected that platter and that was on uh
a different piece. But the the vapors
and the fumes in a firing just spread
everywhere in the kiln. So that's what
you got to remember when you buy these
glazes, especially if you're buying
commercial glazes, you won't know what's
in them. And so you might have reactions
that you don't expect in other pieces.
But bright blue, variegated blue, and
the is the one that is the best sell for
me. So if you want pieces that should be
fairly successful if you're taking them
to shows, that's a great combo. bright
blue, variegated blue, and oatmeal.
That's in mastering cone six glazes.
This is crystal magic. Uh look how much
it ran down. And I managed to control it
a little bit by getting the runs cuz
remember it's only dipped at the top.
[snorts] Uh crystal magic, but it runs
all the way down. But that is very
pretty.
That's also a glaze in uh I think it's
called mouse brown in that book. This is
fronting crystal magic again. Look at
the runs. Let's give you a closeup.
Really interesting.
And where the handle is, we almost got
it down to the bottom. There was no soak
on this firing. Once again, [snorts]
there's another mouse gray.
I love the yellow orange that you get at
the bottom. That's the routtile.
And this is this is my powder blue
glaze. It's um speckled green. Uh not
powder blue, speckle green. Uh it's sort
of a I call them pastel glazes kind of
thing. And it has that um I don't know
whether I call it a mint t,
but I would say that it definitely has a
hint. But I love the way those glazes go
at the top there over it. I don't use
this glaze very much, but in this
combination here, it's quite pretty. I
wonder if that will sell. And you've got
chrome tin pink on the bottom of that
one, too.
There you go.
That's the great thing about making your
own glazes is you can kind of be a
detective and figure out what's going on
in pieces.
Same as the one with the mouse gray
there. And the other three are the same
as before.
Okay, next layer down.
And this is one I've never done before.
This [snorts] is my speckle green. That
sort of pastel green I just showed you.
It has a very Let me see if I can get
you to see it close up. The glaze has
like a stipple effect, but it's really
shiny.
You see, it's uh it's I don't know if
you can catch that in the
gloss of the thing or not, but it has
like a little kind of I don't know what
you would call it. It just feels like
it's the brushes the hard hard bristle
brush has been dabbed down kind of
thing. Uh but it's totally smooth and
you have a stipple effect which is a
nice glaze result. [snorts]
Uh so what do we have? strontium crystal
magic poured across that side and this
side and then the speckle green or the
other sides. And like I said, it's
always been a pastel green, which is why
I never really liked it very much, but
it would go if you had a pastel palette
of glazes. Um, that chrome tin pink
actually is a bit pastel, too. And then
my baby blue, which [snorts] is now been
transferred into a sort of middle blue
by playing around with it, is no longer
around. my palette. It's not very
pastel,
but um but that's a nice piece. That's
that's a surprise. I didn't realize that
would do that, but yeah, that's um got a
really nice effect. I don't know what
you would call it, but ones in the next
level down just a variety of strontium.
Oh, we got a run just I just got to
grind that little bit off. I ground all
the other ones off and it was fine.
But that's an interesting
effect of the running there. Anything
else that's got any interest that's
different from others? What's this T?
Oh, there's the pastel blue. Sorry,
pastel green. Speckle green, I call it.
I don't know how to make this glaze
again either. It's just there cuz it's a
it's a it was two glazes. I think I
mixed a chun green and a another green
together that had some tin in it and
that's what I ended up with. It's
variegated blue and oatmeal over the
top. And look at the chattering.
Yep, that's the same.
That's a little different.
[snorts]
[sighs]
There you go.
Tonight I'm going shopping for orange
juice
just to make sure hopefully I don't
catch this cold that Jackie has. But
that that r that running on that one is
like perfect. Even didn't go over the
handle there. So, um this profile for
strontium crystal magic is just doing
great.
Just regular. No string strontium
crystal magic on that one. Regular
again. Just bright blue variegated blue
and oatmeal. And this one has strontium
crystal magic. And this is that mixture
of new blues I was mixing up with my
licorice black. I don't know why I was
doing that, but um cuz it was a mystery
at the time, but but my new blue,
you can barely see it there at the
bottom, but it's so close to that bright
blue that I have. So, it's great. I'll
be able to use up that blue that was
pretty useless to everything else cuz
they [snorts] And there's another one
with a little run. So, there's no holds
on this firing profile. So, the only
thing I could do to stop that run is to
increase the speed of the cooling cuz I
was slowing it down to 500° an hour down
to 1900. Uh, whereas before in another
kil I was letting it natural cool at
9999.
So, that's what I'll do. I'll change
that cuz this kil has a couple more runs
than the other one.
And mouse gray is behaving perfectly.
Okay, the last level down.
And this is my chun green, my apple
green, uh, strontium crystal magic, and
looks like some oatmeal as well. Um, so
the same thing. I pouing crystal magic
that way and this way. Then apple green
that way and that way. Um, and then I
think I did some chun green and some
viegated blue on the handles.
Um, and I'm not sure. Uh, it looks like
I did some chun green maybe across that
way, too. But it's a nice platter with
some
chrome tin pink in the oatmeal bowl as
well. And on the outside, I just glazed
it oatmeal with a touch of green on the
rim.
That's a nice platter. I'll show you
some pictures at the end, I guess, of
these platters. They turned out well.
that you've seen earlier in the video.
That's the speckle green pastel color
with the variegated blue oatmeal again.
And the blues running but not over. It
almost got it with that one. And this
looks like it's uh both different blues.
This one is just the new blue and that
one may be the older bright blue, but um
they're very similar. It's hard to tell
the difference anymore.
I'm going to mix the two of them
together, I think, in one bucket because
they're so much the same. Uh, pastel
blue. And then
this one is gray. It's mouse gray, but
it it ran a lot more. I can tell there.
You see? But, um, but yeah, that really
ran quite a lot.
I'm going to get bored of runs again
pretty soon.
There's a drip on the kil shelf there
from probably this one. Look how much
that ran all the way to the end. Just
going to do a tiny tiny bit of grinding
on that one. But um but those and that's
the end of that firing. Okay, this is a
bit of a surprise. It's about 7:30 at
night and um I'm just feeling like doing
something. So I'm going to unload this
kiln which is down to about 135° F.
[snorts] So, uh, so I thought this might
be fun just to stop me watching that
boring, depressing television news. But
anyway, so I've got, um,
and this color scheme was a request from
a customer and I hesitated at first and
I thought, you know, I should try things
because it's like they may have
something and they did cuz that looks
pretty good. It's a a set of flat uh
type sushi plates, but it's based on my
Icelandic series, but using purple
instead of oatmeal. How about that? It's
[snorts] always worth trying something.
Couple of these little sushi trays as
well.
And then these I won't show you until
I've got the tops out yet, cuz these are
all the whale jaws.
some more of the actual um commission. I
actually only wanted two, I think, but
I've done four cuz I always do double as
I said, but I'm doing them reversed. So,
this one is purple in the center instead
of on the rim.
And the same again here. So, two
variations on that. I think they'll be
nice. [clears throat]
Bottom.
And I should be able to match hopefully.
Uh I'm not sure yet. Let's see. That's
not going to match.
But this one I should be able to find.
This is how I fire the lids on a stilt
with a prop underneath to actually hold
it above. Um, and now I've noticed that
they don't warp
um by firing that way. And this is the
strontium crystal magic
to create that watery effect with
variegated blue. And this one is chun
green as the background color. So let's
see if I can find a chun green one. I
think that's this one. Is it going to
fit? Yes, it does. [snorts] So, it's a
little sugar jar.
Look at the colors in there. It's very
I'd say that's Florida like except for
it's - 9 centigrade outside.
Anyway, little whale sugar jar. That's
cute. And here's a blue green copper red
one. Oh, here's a matte turquoise. So,
we got a jar for that one, I'm sure.
Oh, this is strange. See this red? That
must have dripped off something onto the
pot. I don't understand where how
though. But um but there's purple just
stripped into the piece. But
fortunately, it doesn't show on the
outside. But does that lid fit on there,
too? Yeah, it could go on either one.
So, here's one in matte turquoise.
Similarly with the strontium crystal
magic for the water. That really looks
realistic, doesn't it?
really nice.
[snorts] And the blue, green, copper,
red one, which I don't see the bottom
for it yet, so we'll have to put that
aside for a minute. And the last one of
the purple.
So, this is four of these for her to
pick from. There's two. [snorts] So, two
of the purple on the rim and two of the
purple on the inside. We'll see which
ones she chooses. I could see those as
nice dinner plates.
Now we add a another matte turquoise
here.
These are my homemade stilts still
going. [snorts] This one's been used
many times cuz it's uh it's actually
been used in the gas kil.
So here is another one.
Really nice water look.
We'll wait to see the blue blue ones,
too. Another matte turquoise one.
That one fits. It's quite a tight fit.
So, let's see if one that bit loose.
That one's a bit loose.
Yeah, I must have had the wrong lid on
one of them. So, [snorts] that was that
one.
this one. They're almost the same. But
isn't this a beautiful turquoise? Matte
turquoise with some nice runs there.
Kind of really has a watery foamy look.
And then the lid is just spectacular.
This was a commission. Uh so what do we
have here? Another chun green. This is
this one then.
See if it fits. Yep. And look at the
foam.
Really beautiful foam with that wave
action down there. So that is really And
look, these are the sculptural kind of
lids that I did. I'll take some pictures
of these, too. But that's really pretty.
So now we got a bunch of just lids
waiting for the jaws.
I'll show you them as they get the bowl
out
cuz the colors are really beautiful on
these. Oh yeah, really beautiful.
Here's the Siamese whales.
Another one.
Okay, here. Get out big one first. It's
another one of my large big platters
um with those kind of strap handles that
I've been doing. I showed you how to do
that in one of the previous videos. Um
but that is strontium crystal magic and
my folk art white with some oatmeal and
apple green accents.
Nice piece.
So which glaze? Oh, this is that new
model modified blue. Looks great on the
outside. In fact, it's really pretty on
the outside,
but on the inside, it totally crawled.
H
I think I have to dilute it even more
with blue.
Anyway, let's see if we have a jaw that
fits it. A lid, rather. Yep, that one.
So, I'm going to have to refire the
inside of this piece with some regular
blue glaze on it, I guess. That is
strange.
Probably on too thick.
This one has a little bit of it. And
this I think is my regular bright blue.
And it still has some on there.
I wonder what caused that. That may be
the wrong lid. It's a bit big.
That's better.
There you go.
Less of a wave splash on the top on that
one.
Let's see. Got another blue one here.
Uh not sure which one of these will fit.
That seems a bit big.
So, do I have
Oh, that would fit that one as well. And
that fits. So, they all interchange. The
lids can be swapped with each piece, but
that's what it is. No running down to
the bottom, thank goodness. But it's
good colors.
And here's what Oh, that's pretty. If I
can get you the angle with the light.
Look how pretty that inside is.
Really pretty. And it's strontium
crystal magic over blue, green, copper,
red.
It's one of these lids here.
Yep, that one fits.
That's really pretty, too.
I love the tropical feel of that one.
And here's another one. And really nice
again. See if we can angle the color for
the colors on the inside. It's really
pretty.
And this will be the last. Oh, we got
one more lid. Oh, no, we don't. It's
already out. [snorts] But there's
another one that has a real tropical
feel.
So, this double must fit on this one.
It's a bit big for that one.
This is quite loose. That fits on that
one. So, this is probably going to fit
on that one. So, trust that the double
whale one was the one that had the most
crawling on the inside.
Uh, I guess it's always the case, isn't
it? But that's very pretty.
Yeah. So, this is the way it looked
like.
So, it's a really nice piece except for
the glaze crawl like clay crazy on the
inside, but [snorts] it's a sugar jar.
It won't really matter actually. So,
we'll see.
All right. So, that's that level. Okay.
We have a few more to go.
Put some more blue ones.
No crawling on the inside of that one. I
think that's the wrong lid for that
piece, though.
Yep, that's fits.
Interchanging lids. You got really nice
feeling of the ocean there.
The tops are just really spectacular
with that strontium crystal magic and
the the variegated blue down the whale
is really nice. So, what about this one?
Does this fit that lid?
Yep.
Nice runs all the way down.
That one sort of had a bit of a double
spiral there for the water splash. I
filled it up with glaze a lot and it ran
down the the whale because of the
stronting crystal magic and filled up so
it really kind of blocked [snorts] up
quite a bit of the carving I did in
there which that's a shame but um
and there's another one of these that's
a hint of the crawling starting in that
one but it didn't really crawl just
little kind of open bits just starting
this last lid fit
Yes. So, I may have to go, but it it's
pretty good fit all the way around
evenly all the way around on that one.
I'm sure [snorts] I could find one that
has a more open.
Look at the color.
And a couple more.
I did 16. This was a commission, too,
but I liked the idea of it, so that's
why I made so many because I figured
this will be good for next year. Yeah,
that fits perfectly on there, too.
So, I showed you how to make these.
I've got This is a K unloading video,
but you'll see these at the end of the
video where I actually showed you how I
made them.
I'm going to last one of these.
Let's hope it fits. Here's another one
of the blue, green, copper, red.
And the colors are really nice inside
there as well. Does it fit? Yay. That's
every one of them fits.
Ah, was a nice night. I did my grocery
shopping. It's the 22nd today. So, I did
went out and did all grocery shopping
this evening. Just some takeout food,
ate it, came back [snorts] down here,
and now I'm put myself in a really good
mood. So, one thing to go
and it's just a regular baking dish with
the bird bottle uh sauce bottle that
goes on top of this one in that new red
clay from Pottery Supply House number
500. And I think there's a five
uh yeah, 500 and 550. Anyway, there's
two of them. I'll have to give you the
numbers, but it's a red stone wear for a
pottery supply house in Toronto.
