Hello everybody and happy new year.
Happy 2026.
We're going to be doing a vlog all
throughout this week of kind of like a
new year reset. I did this last January
and it actually made me really look
forward to this January because I got so
much done. Like I use January as a way
to kind of set myself up for the rest of
the year. We had guests over, so I'm
just air drying the comforter. Don't
mind me. I had to wash it. Anyways, I
spent so much time last January like
organizing my apartment, really
optimizing it for success for the rest
of the year, like organizing a drawer
that like has everything I would put in
my purse or like for onthe-go things or
really organizing my bathroom or just
doing things that I've been putting off
for a long time. And so I implore you to
instead of dread January and just be
like, "Oh, it's just the holidays are
over, whatever." Because it's easy to do
that to kind of think of it more as
like, "Oh my god, I can optimize my life
and like really take this time so that
the rest of the year when it gets really
really busy because we know it does. I
like have a plan in place. Everything
has order. I feel good. Like when you
come home, you're just really really
happy." Like that's how I look at it at
least. So first things first, we're
getting a new rug. I'm just gonna be
basically picking up the camera every
time we're doing something in the
apartment. So, number one is I love this
rug. I had it in my last apartment as
well, but I'm having a recent obsession
with like the dough print, which is like
kind of like a deer print. You guys know
we have those pillows in our bedroom.
And I found this beautiful rug on
Wayfair and I'm just craving a a new
change. And I sent the link to Ryan when
he was at work one day. I was like,
"What do you think?" And he was like, "I
like it. Let's do it." So, it's
definitely more of a statement in a way.
And this rug is a jute rug and this is
like a little softer. So, I'm curious.
That's gonna be this morning's project.
And I guess if we hate it, we could roll
it up and return it and put this one
back out. But I just I really I don't
know. I'm feeling called to do it. I
want like some sort of change in here
because basically I've had like the same
living room setup for a while and that's
just like one easy way to change up the
space. So, we're going to do that now.
Also, side note, I normally sleep in
pajamas, like long sleeve pajamas. But
this girl I follow on Tik Tok, I think
her name is L, and she does those videos
like things I find incredibly chic, and
she talked about these night gowns. And
this is so soft. It's so comfortable. I
just feel so like feminine and cutesy,
but I like that it's long cuz it keeps
my legs warm. And we do have the heat on
in here, obviously. But um yeah, I
thought I would let you guys know. I
don't know the brand, but it's like,
"Hey girl, do you want to check the
tag?" Can you see what that says? Feel
free to screenshot and then rotate the
photo. I can't remember right now, but
yeah. Okay, let's do this rug.
You guys, I am very, very, very happy
with the rug. It needs to kind of
flatten out a little bit, but that
happens with time. I changed the
background on the frame TV. Comment down
below if you guys think we should move
the lamp back to this corner, but I love
at night having that lamp there. It's
very cozy. The only other thing is we
could put a little statement chair
there. Or we could just leave it empty.
So, or Ryan had the idea to put our tree
in that corner. So, I'm happy though.
And now we reward oursel. We ordered
Waverly Diner. It's a Saturday morning,
by the way. I got um eggs benedict no
Hollands. I just don't like holidays.
But I love the whole idea of it. That
looks so good. And chocolate chip
pancakes, tablecakes. Next up, we have
this infamous area. I posted a YouTube
short and I also posted it on Instagram
and Tik Tok as well cuz I went all hands
on deck. Trying to figure out what to do
with this area. Not completely giving up
on this piece yet. Someone suggested we
turn it on a corner so it's like when
you walk in it's not like you see the
side of it. So it's just like a lot of
wood going on. So we're going to turn it
at like a corner facing us now and see
how I feel about that. And then I'm
liking the idea of putting a cute small
chair there with a plant so there's like
equal height on either sides. My other
option that I'm still considering is
doing two storage benches or like one
super long one, but I feel like I'll
have a better chance finding two
matching storage benches and then doing
like floating shelves on either side for
like my jewelry and stuff. So, that's
where I'm at right now. Just wanted to
turn it on a corner so it faces out this
way and shoot
corner.
>> You want it just like this?
>> Yeah, actually. I mean, it definitely
looks prettier. What do you think?
>> It looks prettier this way, but will
that bother you? Cuz Ryan sleeps on this
side. It looks more purposeful this way.
Can we live with it for a day and see?
>> Yeah.
>> Okay, cool. I like it actually. It looks
pretty. I mean, I guess then it's like
my bags are really facing. This is the
area I definitely need to attend to as
well. There's just things going on.
Thank you, Ryan. Like these are my
bathing suits and coverups. So,
honestly, in a there's a world where at
least for now since it's winter time, I
could put these down in our storage
unit, which I'm really grateful that we
have. This is my memory box which maybe
I could put this in the office. I have
like just so many random like photo
booth pictures and memor old ticket
stuff like that. But that can be
handled. This air filter. I mean we need
an air filter which is constantly so
dusty. So maybe I'll do this today. Oh,
also I don't know if you guys noticed
but we switched the mirrors. Um so we
put the big mirror in here which I mean
I'm not mad about cuz I even have a
bigger mirror here now. And then we put
the smaller mirror here and it fits
perfectly on the wall. And I think what
we're going to do is actually hang up
this mirror, which I think will look
really, really nice. We just don't have
the proper hardware for it right now.
This is the first time I've done my
makeup all week. Like, wow, I forgot
what I looked like. Brian and I were
talking about this weekend and next
weekend because we literally have no
plans. It's super chill. It's January,
but we're both like we like to do things
like we like to be at home and stuff,
but we were kind of wanting to do one or
two things in the like something this
weekend, something next weekend. So,
that's where I was like, wait, Segeek.
And that's why I want to introduce
today's sponsor, which is Segeek. It's
officially the new year as we know, and
so many artists have released tickets
for their concerts this year. I know
Zara Larson, Cardi B, I think also Lady
Gaga, Morgan Wallen, Chris Stapleton.
You guys know I love my country. And if
you forgot, let me tell you that the US
is hosting the World Cup this year. So
you can get tickets on Segeek. I'm
actually going to hop on the SeatGeek
app now and do a little scroll through
of what's going on. There's also a
section called trending events. So it
says, "Oh my gosh, tonight actually
there's a NYX game
on Friday. This Friday, professional
bull riding, it comes to Madison Square
Garden every January." And we went last
year. We literally got our tickets on
Segeek. I want to text Ryan because we
had so much fun last year when we went.
This is showing all the trending events,
but then obviously there's so much to
scroll through. You can scroll through
category as well. It's really, really
convenient. I also really like Segeek
because they rate each ticket 1 through
10. That means you're getting a good
deal. So, you got to look for those
green dots and green means good, red
means bad. Plus, every ticket is backed
by their buyer guarantee. A new year
means there's more artists on tour and
it's something to be excited about. I
love having things to look forward to.
So, if you want to get 10% off your
tickets, you can use the code Danielle10
for 10% off your tickets. Again, that's
Danielle10 for 10% off your tickets at
Segeek. Make sure to click the link in
the description and that'll
automatically apply my code at checkout.
So, you're good to go. Thank you again
to Segeek for sponsoring this video.
Morning everybody. It's the next day.
It's Sunday. So, we have to take
advantage of Ryan being home and not at
work. So, we have more things I want to
get done today. I'm wearing a little
sheet mask. I've got the sheets in the
laundry. And what else? Oh, I'm about to
fold some laundry as well. Big laundry
day. That's a big Sunday thing. Not sure
how I feel about this. We've been living
with it. I don't hate it, but I don't
love it. You guys know how I feel, but
we're just living with it. So, yeah.
First things first, I'm cleaning the
sheets and doing laundry. And then I
have a little list of things I want to
get done. One of our projects for today
is we're going to be replacing the knobs
and handles on our Murphy bed cuz this
is just not very of us, you know? It's
just silver, kind of random. And I feel
like everything in our apartment's very
like a warm, soft, more brown tones.
There's not really any cool tones. So,
found these really nice um actually
they're over here. They're from West.
Let me see if I can show you guys an
example here. Knobs and handles. Sierra
Balange interiors helped me of course,
but they're these nice wood. So, these
would be um the knobs with like a little
brass like that's just so more the vibe
I think. So, we got a ton of these and
then two longer handles. I'm just
realizing I guess we might have to
remove the mattress in order to I think
we have to unscrew from the back. It's
going to be an adventure. But, let me
show you guys what the handles look
like. How good do these look? Like
that's just it's gonna really elevate
the Murphy bed, I think, and just make
it more of the overall aesthetic of our
apartment. So, hopefully this won't be
too difficult. We're going to do this
today. The tools are coming out, you
guys. Okay, here's a little before. The
old knob has been removed. Hopefully,
this one works. This new knob. Oh, it
already just looks so good. Does it feel
like it's going to fit right? Yay. It
already looks so much better. And I like
how you can pull on it with two fingers
like I do with these. I love it.
>> Okay, I'll tighten it.
>> Oh, you'll tighten it now. Okay, cool.
You like it? Side number one is already
done. And I Oh, it looks so nice. And we
got the handles and knobs from West Elm
if anyone's wondering. But so good. He's
going so fast. My job is to unbox
everything and empty drawers as he goes
for easy application. It's going to be a
little more interesting.
>> Yeah, without having to pull this off.
>> Let's see if he can do it.
>> We're more worried about screwing them
back on.
>> We have reached a bit of a hurdle. Um
trying to unscrew under these wood
planks is very difficult. I'm trying
with my little hands to do it. Um Ryan's
trying to rig something up right now.
Thank god he is handy. Seriously, I feel
so grateful because I don't know how to
do any of this. But I hope we can figure
it out because we've already replaced
the knobs. But if we can't get the
handles, that'll look so bad. I know
we'll get it. It's just might be maybe
it won't happen today. Like maybe we
need to get a different tool or
something to be able to fit under these
to then unscrew if that makes sense. He
got it out. Now let's hope we could get
the new one in. Look like a car mechanic
under the
>> What?
>> The right size.
>> Yes, it is.
>> Unless we can just
>> I measured it. Maybe that's the problem.
I measured it,
>> so it's too big. And then the next size
down is too small. So Ryan is insisting
on drilling a hole, which stresses me
out because there's going to be a new
hole and you're going to see it. But
then he's like, I'll just go get
plaster. And I'm like, if you know how
to do that. So that's what we're going
to do. Okay, one is done. I'm so
impressed. So you'll just have to fill
in that hole. But let me see from the
front. Well, from directly in the front,
you can't see it. Oh my god, it looks so
much better. Wow, you're magic. I can't
believe you did that. I'm going to do
the other one.
>> You're amazing.
>> Anytime.
>> I can't believe you just did that. Thank
you so Oh, it looks great. So, we'll
just have to fill in these guys. And
Wow, how lovely does that look? Next on
the docket. We've been wanting to do
this for a while. When we were unboxing
and unpacking when we moved in, you
know, we were just kind of guessing on
where to put things. Basically, what we
did was we put our cups and mugs on this
side and then our plates on this side.
However, every time I go to make a
coffee or if I go to like heat something
up, our microwave's right here. I'm
wishing everything was opposite. Like
the cups and the mug should be above the
coffee machine and the plates and the
bowls and stuff should be above the
toaster, near the microwave, stuff like
that. So, we're going to do a little
switcher room. Also, I found this little
tray in one of our drawers in our
office. And I flipped it over and made a
little stand for his protein and
creatine and then the shaker bottle he
uses. And it's already making me feel
like they have more of a place. I did
order with his approval a bigger jar and
a smaller jar for him to put his protein
and creatine in that they're clear and
they have a wooden top and um so they're
on the way. But for now, I really really
like how this looks. And maybe when I
get the new jars, I'll just replace
them. But keep this as like a little
like stand.
These things are the best. These are
like risers that I got on Amazon forever
ago and they just allow you to fit so
much more.
This is so exciting. It's one of those
little things that's just going to make
life so much better. And this looks so
good, too. I love it. Our little drink
area. So, we forgot that we had a clean
dishwasher. We had way more cups, but we
made it work. We added that riser up
there. And this is just going to be so
great because water, ice is here, like
drinks. Like, this just makes so much
more sense. Yay. Okay, I did not film it
because I was practicing, but I watched
a few Tik Toks this morning on how to
make your bed the luxurious hotel way.
Um, and obviously I had just switched or
cleaned the sheets and everything. I do
this already, but one of the big tips is
to stack your pillows like on top of
each other rather than in front of each
other. Obviously, when you go to sleep,
you kind of switch it up, but it helps
kind of keep the pillows in front. So,
I'm about to put the throw pillows in
this area. And she also said to full and
I'm going to show you guys cuz I'm going
to do it again later this week cuz I
actually got a new puffier duvet insert
on the way. I got it on Amazon cuz this
one is down alternative and I was told
that down just like regular down
comforters are fluffier. So, and I read
a ton of reviews, did lots of research
so hoping for that. So, this could be
like our summer one. Then I have a
bigger one coming in the mail. So, I'm
going to be like redoing this anyways,
but I wanted to see if I could do it.
She basically lined up the sheets and
the uh like the the top sheet and the
comforter, folded it here, and then
folded it back one. And that's how I got
this kind of fluffy look. And I'm loving
it. And then it leaves all of this room
for the throw pillows.
Like this just looks like a dream. This
looks like I'm at a hotel and someone
much better than me made the bed. But I
did it. And I think that's the hack is
to pull it forward and then back one and
it gives this look. And just imagine
when we have an even puffier comforter.
Oh, this looks so dreamy. And I love I
actually love having this space here so
that you can just perfectly put all of
your throw pillows and such. The one
thing I need to figure out is the
blanket on the end because our Lola
blanket is like I think it's the large.
It's not the extra large. I don't even
know if the extra large would fit the
span of the king bed. But maybe what I
need to get is like a thin like runner
blanket almost to kind of finish it off
at the end. What do you guys think? I
forgot to chop the pillows. Incoming
chopper.
Even better. Excuse me. Sorry I didn't
have that chopped. Ryan went to Ace
Hardware and he is plastering up and
painting the holes. Such a king. We're
getting so much done today. Laundry is
done, which feels so good. I'm happy
with how our room looks at the moment.
This isn't necessarily a home
improvement, but I really want to nail
down my go-to like chicken noodle soup
recipe. Something I can just quickly
whip up, something that it'll just be
second nature to me. So, I found a
recipe online and we're going to give it
a go tonight. Um, and if it's good, then
I'll like really show you guys. But,
I've got all kinds of things for the egg
noodles, we've got the chicken stock,
we've got the bay leaves. I'm going to
basically cook chicken breast and
chicken thighs in the broth and then
like take it out and shred it and then
put it back in. And we're going to try
it cuz like this is good. That would be
so yummy. So, let's do it.
Well, you guys, it's just about done. I
sure do hope it's good. I put lots of
love into it. I probably could have
broken down the chicken a bit more, but
I feel like it'll continue to shred as
it's in here. I added a little bit more
egg noodles than it said to. And I mean,
it smells amazing. We've got dill in
there. We've got parsley, lemon juice,
bay leaves, which I will remove. Or I
guess we just don't put them in our
bowl. But like, it smells really good.
And the turmeric, I learned adding
turmeric is what gives it that little
yellow color. Okay, I just took a few
bites and it's really good. I told Ryan
with this one like he can tell me, you
know, what it could use more of,
whatever, because I want to perfect it.
I do think it's quite flavorful. I've
heard chicken bullion like really adds
flavor sometimes more than chicken
broth.
>> I always think you put canned carrots.
>> Canned carrots.
>> Yeah,
>> cuz they're softer. I don't know. This
said just a couple carrots and I chopped
them. Um, I would add more salt and I
would add a third thing of broth just so
it's super brothy.
>> With canned carrots, you only need to
chop them. You need like big carrots. I
didn't know canned carrots existed. The
thing is, I want this to be as homemade
as possible. Like, you know, I chopped
it all up. Hey guys, it's the next day
and I'm honestly waiting for some things
I ordered to come in the mail to do the
next few projects in this video. But
tonight, I'm making kind of a new meal
with a ton of things that Ryan and I
both love. You guys know how much I love
making a little tomato cucumber salad
with chicken. Ryan loves it, too. He's
been requesting it a lot whenever I'm
like, "What meal should I make?" He's
like, "I love that tomato cucumber."
Which I'm glad, but I was trying to
think of a way to kind of change it up a
bit or just have a different variation
with similar ingredients. So, our
friends that stayed with us last week,
Ethan and Taylor, gave us this idea to
do kind of like an orzo pasta salad. So,
I'm going to make orzo and cook ground
turkey. That'll be our protein. Or I was
considering doing ground chicken, but
Ryan was like, "Let's do ground turkey."
And then cucumbers and tomatoes and red
onion and mix it all together with like
a red wine vinegrett, olive oil and dill
kind of like a Mediterranean orzo salad.
That is exactly what it says on the back
of this. What did they do? Similar
vibes. They didn't do tomato cucumber.
They did like olives and I don't like
olives, but they added parsley and dill,
which I'm also going to do. So, I'm
going to make that and I'll show you
guys how it turns out. I'm just like
trying new meals. It's fun. don't have
as many plans. So, it's fun to kind of
lean in when we can. So, cheers.
>> Voila. I haven't tasted it yet, so don't
quote me, but Ryan's on his way home.
We're going to try it. It looks
delicious. And it made a good amount
because when you add the orzo with all
the veggies and stuff, like it it grows.
So, I did and I did two things of
turkey, ground turkey, because Ryan eats
a lot. So, and I wanted leftovers. So, I
really hope this is good. I hope I I
just kind of eyeballed how much vinegar
and olive oil to do. But, it looks
really good. So, I don't really know why
I'm waiting for it. And like I need to
at least try it. Get some good pieces in
this bite. Oh, I'm so nervous because
this is so much food. Okay, it's good.
It needs more flavor of sort cuz I just
used salt and pepper on the ground
turkey. That bite, that bite has more
flavor. I'm tempted to add more apple
cider vinegar, which is what I used as
the red wine vinegarette. But but
sometimes I make things a little too
vinegary. Ryan's like, "Oh, it's so
good. This is a great meal." I think I'm
going to add a little more vinegar and
then it'll be great. I think I think
this is a great meal. And then it'll You
could eat it cold. Like I could just
store it and have this for lunch,
dinner, tomorrow. Oh, this is awesome.
Okay, guys. So, the jars came in for
Ryan's creatine and protein. So, we're
doing the transfer. We're both a little
confused because I literally ordered the
same amount of ounces on each of these
and this is just little smaller. But if
anything, when you buy a new one of
these, you can just put it in a baggie
and then fill it up with this. I said I
would get bigger ones, but he was like,
"Let me just try." Oh, that just looks
so much better. Okay, you're just going
to have to be careful when you uh lift
it up cuz the lids when your influencer
girlfriend wants everything to be
aesthetic. Sorry. Now that kind of looks
better as they can fit. Got the little
blender bottle thing. Tada. Protein
station. Good morning you guys. It's the
next day and I'm sipping my coffee. It's
8:00 a.m. and my friend Victoria
Victoria Garrick Brown just launched her
own planner called Booked and Balanced.
This beautiful hard coverver situation.
And I believe it comes in another color
too. and she sent me one and I wanted to
try and use it this morning. You guys
know I love planners. I also got this
little pouch with pens in it which is
fun. I wonder if they're it's a black
pen or what. I don't know. But um I was
really into this because each day have
like it's like the same day each day,
but there's just lots of little
segments. There's three deep breaths.
You have to check it when you do three
deep breaths. Write what you're grateful
for, how you're feeling today, your
three mustd dos, which I love. Like
prioritize, prioritize, like what are
the must dos? And then there's a can do
section. So it's like if you get your
must dos, then you can get these done.
Habit tracker, three good things,
today's win, and a note to self. And I
just think it's so adorable. So, I one
thing about me, like I love Google
Calendar. I love digital things, but I
love a a daily paper planner. It's very
off brandand for me in a way, but I
really cuz I have terrible handwriting.
But fill this out together. Okay, I have
to take my three deep breaths, otherwise
I can't check them off. Ready?
That's really good to do in the morning.
I feel like I don't take deep breaths in
the morning. Okay, I'm going to finish
filling this out. Making our bed right
now. And you guys, I got a bed ducker. I
got this on Amazon. I'm going to start
an Amazon storefront of all these like
home improvement things I have. I just
started using it and I was like, "Wait,
I need to vlog." Because sometimes I
break a nail or it's just uncomfortable.
And this is like literally a paddle that
works really nicely. I'm obsessed with
this. I got to get the routine down
better, like the technique. But that
made it so much easier and better on my
nails. It's the little things. Hello.
Hello. A little upgrade tonight. So,
we've been wanting to put an Alexa, an
Amazon Echo in the guest rooms to office
just because if I'm in there sometimes I
want to listen to music or Brian wants
to listen music working in there,
whatever. So, we're going to move this
one, which we have loved so much, into
the guest room. And then we got a brand
new Echo Show 21. So, this one's bigger.
This one's 21 in. I forget the size of
this one. Maybe 15, 16, I forget. And
then this one's 21 in. And I like the
black frame. It ties in with the black
theme and like the hardware here and
everything. You can buy like I bought
this frame for it. Um I get so many
questions about this. It's literally an
Echo Show which is basically an Alexa,
but like there's a screen and all kinds
of fun things. I love it. Uh and I think
we're finally going to hang it up cuz we
were going to hang this one up and then
we were like, "Wait, let's put that one
in the guest room." I've had that for
like 3 years now, four years maybe. Um,
and we wanted to put something in the
guest room anyways. And then this will
hang up. I think we'll hang it up
horizontally right here. So, we'll have
a little smart home situation. And I've
had it leaning against this for so long
cuz I like how uh I like how it covers
the outlet. But, you know what? We can
get wire covers if you know, you know.
And I think it'll look good on the wall.
So, we're going to hang this up soon. I
also meant to show you guys Ryan did
such a good job of filling in the hole
and like sanding it and painting it and
spackling or
>> I could have painted over it again, but
I don't think you did.
>> It looks great. Seriously, I'm so
impressed with your skills. Thank you so
much. I'm really really happy with how
it looks with the desk in front of it.
Just feels more us. Good morning. I'm
pausing my music, but I am playing this
playlist called Coffee in the Mountains
Indie Folk. I love indie folk so much.
I've got the ulog on. I am cozied up.
This is my little setup this morning.
I've got the heat lamp or it's like a
heat dish that it literally feels like
you're sitting by a fire. So, I thought
I'd put the fire on. And like I'm sorry,
just what a vibe. Like my coffee. I love
these doublewalled clear mugs. This
one's from Dongi. It just I don't know.
Makes me really happy. It's the little
things, you know, balancing you guys
behind my couch, but I love working out
in the mornings. However, then I do lose
these cozy mornings to myself. So, as I
was going to bed last night, I was like,
I'm going to not work out in the morning
and do one of these like restorative
music playing, drink my coffee slowly,
which I'm grateful that I can do, but I
think I like really needed it. I don't
know how to explain it, but it's really
restoring me. And I'm grateful for
mornings like this. Reminds me of
college cuz Delaney and I would get up
and listen to this music, drink our
coffee before going to class. I don't
know, it's a familiar, warm and fuzzy
feeling and I like it. It's a new day
today and we are doing fun things today.
Everything's kind of come in the mail
that I've wanted. Um, so first project
of the day is going to be the coffee
bar. This is our current coffee setup
which I love. We have the Dongi Reellia
machine. I have it linked on my LTK and
also my Amazon storefront under coffee
setup along with everything I'm about to
show you guys. It's all going to be in
my Amazon storefront. I love it. But
then I was like, wait, I could love it
more. Like I have seen on Pinterest when
people make a whole little coffee bar
moment. As you can see, the grounds kind
of get they just go around because we
switch the bean hoppers a lot cuz this
is decaf and this is caffeinated. So I
was like, what if I got a black tray to
kind of pull it all together and then
you won't have to see the black as much
on the white counter. I know I'm crazy.
And just kind of merch it a little bit,
judge it up, give it like a place. So,
this is the little before. Um, and we're
going to give it a go.
I mean, tell me this didn't totally
elevate this area. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow.
Wow. Wow. Wow. If you get it, you get
it. Um, all it took was adding this
tray. And then I also bought this little
I think I looked up toothbrush holder on
Amazon and I bought these bamboo straws
cuz I'm really starting to get freaked
out about the glass straw. And then I
bought this spoon rest. It's like an
espresso spoon rest and it comes with a
spoon. Again, this will all be linked on
my Amazon storefront under coffee setup.
And that's really it. And it just gives
it a place. I'm really excited to not
see the coffee grounds all the time
hopefully. And this way, I'm hoping that
then I can just hide the second bean
hopper in the back and it's not Oh my
god. I mean, I can't believe I didn't do
this forever ago. This is such a vibe.
Wow. Now I'm going to make a coffee
because I literally wanted to make an
iced coffee so bad and I was like let's
wait until, you know, we get it all set
up so we can fully enjoy it. It's the
little things. And I'm so happy. I had
to like find a unique It was hard to
find a tray that fit this coffee machine
cuz it's like long but not too wide. I
was hoping I could have the tray the
other way like more square looking like
more rectangle looking like
horizontally. But this is great too. And
I think I'm going to try and find a
different place for these cutting boards
because that's kind of just made it a
little busy over here. I swear this
latte even tastes better now that and I
think I added a little bit extra
hazelnut syrup today.
I can't wait for Ryan to get back and
see this. I feel like he's going to
appreciate it too just cuz it it was
looking messy. Like even if you just
made one thing of coffee, it was looking
messy because of switching the bean
hoppers. But not anymore. Okay, I didn't
show before and like it's not so so
different, but I kind of rearranged
things here. Um I switched the cutting
board that um the toaster and the kettle
were on and this one's a little bit it
like is raised and I just put the
toaster with the butter there and then I
put the um cutting boards behind it. I'm
really struggling with this area because
we kind of just like need all these
appliances out cuz Ryan uses this every
day. We actually don't use a toaster
every day, but like I feel like that
kind of needs to stay out. And then
these knives, me and Ryan can't agree on
these knives. Well, like he just he
likes to keep them out. And I do utilize
them. And this wood does match that. Can
I move this? Like that be that be too
crowded. Like I'll just But what I'm
thinking is I was setting up the new
Echo Show that I showed you guys. Ryan's
going to be hanging this up. So there's
going to be a little bit of space here
now. So, something maybe could go here,
under, I don't know. Comment down below
any tips. Still haven't decided on this
wall. I like the idea of a mirror or
something there, but possibly. Yeah,
that this is I am aware that this is too
chaotic, but the coffee bar simply needs
to be alone. So, I'm stuck. I mean, I
feel like everything looks nice. It's
like a beautiful chaos, you know? It's
all like all the colors go nicely
together, but something needs to change,
and I don't know what that is. I've got
it all set up and I've never thought to
log into my YouTube on these. This is
literally a whole TV. Like I could watch
Netflix on here which would be huge if
I'm cooking or something. Like this is
sick. Like everyone needs one of these.
It's always linked to my Amazon
storefront, of course. But I just put on
this little like vibe jazz coffee shop
ambiance and I'm loving it. Just you
wait till it's hanging up. Next up, so
we already did this earlier this week,
which is Ryan's little protein creatine
area that he's been using so well, and
he's been enjoying it, and I think he
likes how nice it looks, too, which
makes me happy. This right here, I got
from a brand called Le Collection. I saw
an Instagram ad for it. This is going to
be our new like supplement area because
this is what will hold my daily
supplements. Obviously, when I travel,
I'll have to um put it in a little pill
box of sorts, like I've done in the
past. But it literally looks so so
beautiful. When I got this in the mail,
you could imagine Ryan was like, "What
on earth is this?" But I'm so excited.
So, I'm going to fill up my supplements.
I I really have been off my supplement
grind, I'm not going to lie, like
honestly, for a couple months, which I'm
not proud of. And I thought maybe this
would be the perfect thing to get me
back on track. And there are Roman
numerals on each one to kind of keep you
on track.
All done. And that was so enjoyable and
it looks so beautiful. So every day I
can just Here's my next little dose. My
dose my next little batch of
supplements. Just tidied up the living
room. I'm kind of always tidying it up.
But thankfully the rug is definitely
starting to flatten out. I'm just so
happy with it. I I love it. It's such a
fun change. And yeah, so now we're about
to tackle something that I have
seriously I don't want to do it. I'm not
excited about it, but I know I'm going
to be so happy when it's done. And
that's the credenza. I've slowly started
to start putting things under the
credenza, and that is not the point of
the credenza. I think the one or maybe
two things I'll keep under here is this,
which is a really nice storage bin that
actually was like a PR package. But my
mom actually was here and she told me
she was like, "You should keep that
because it looks nice and you could
store a lot of things in there." So, I
have like all of our to coffee cups and
stuff in there. And maybe this basket I
would keep under as well. But like it's
starting to now grow out. No. So, let's
get to work. I'm gonna take everything
out and then put everything back in.
Against all odds, she did it. And I
found You always find little treasures.
I found this that actually used to be a
candle and I cleaned it out when it was
done and I used it for a while to put
like lip liners in or whatever.
Honestly, could have used it at the
coffee bar over there. I forgot I had
it. But I just went and took one of my
mouse balls and put it there. I kind of
like the color it adds. But yeah, as I
said, I kept those two things and it
makes me a lot happier. Ryan's going to
be shook when he gets back. I also want
to show you guys this little situation I
found in the last year called Bona. You
guys probably like, I've heard of this,
but I really like it cuz basically it's
kind of like a Swiffer. You know, you've
got this I put this in the in the I can
rewash this though. I just put this in
the laundry, whatever, and it velcros to
the bottom of this. But what I love
about it is you squirt it and it like
squirts really far away and then you
wipe it with this rather than this being
like a cloth with all the cleaning
stuff. I feel I feel like this is more
durable and I just like being able to
like specifically target where I don't
know. I like it. So, we're going to
clean the floors.
We have moved on to my bedroom. I
haven't made my bed today because I
wanted to show you guys how I've been
making my bed the hotel way. I watched a
couple different Tik Toks. Everyone's
got their own methods and stuff. And I'm
definitely still practicing. Like I am
not perfect at all. But um I started off
by just like straightening the flat
sheet, whatever. And what I'm going to
do is this is a new thing I'm trying
today. Actually, we're going to do this
together. is I'm going to fold the flat
sheet like I don't know to there and
then tuck it in on both sides.
And then to really give it that hotel
feel in between each layer of making my
bed, I'm spraying this one hotel room
spray. Or if I'm like if it's later in
the evening, I'm just going to do like
um pillow spray like I have in here. Um
this is from Amazon. That's the brand
This works and it's the deep sleep
pillow spray. But I'm going to be
honest, I can't smell it that well. So,
I'm not obsessed. I'm going to finish
the bottle, but I'm not obsessed. This
obviously smells amazing. It's the
signature one hotel kind of like sallall
scent, but if I was like about to go to
bed, I wouldn't spray this cuz I feel
like that's so intense on your nose. But
during the day, I've got lots of time to
air out. I'm going to do it now. And
then also, I think I said this the other
day, but you stack your pillows on top
of each other. And also, we do have a
king bed. So, I got king pillows and
that changed the game a while back
because then there's not like a weird
middle spot in between and it like takes
up the whole width of the bed, but this
looks nice and tucked. I hate how like
wrinkly they look, but I if I get to a
point of steaming my sheets, like
actually just tell me stop. Okay, next
up for the comforter. Basically, I just
kind of put the comforter all over the
bed. Also, sorry, I know I literally
look crazy right now. And I'm going to
take the comforter on both sides. Bring
it to the end of the bed. Kind of just
fold it over. So let's do that for both
sides like so. So it's at the edge of
the bed. Then take it and fold it just a
little bit in front of it. But so you
still see the top of the comforter. I'm
going to do it on the other side too.
Hopefully this is making sense. Just
like this. So there's that little fold
here still. Oh, I got to fix it though.
It's hard to do it all at once here. It
just looks so nice. So, it just gives a
little volume to the bed, but then when
you get in bed, you just pull this
forward and it's good to go. Um, and
then I'm going to take my handy dandy
bed tucker. I really like this. Like,
how satisfying is that? The little
things in life. And now that I've added
the comforter, I'm going to go in and
spray the Santel One Hotel scent again.
And then voila. It looks so good. It
makes me so happy. These pillows, this
front pillow is from the brand O House.
A R H A U S. The back three are from
like some random designer. I It takes
forever to get in the mail. Um so I
literally found the exact same ones.
They might be a little bit different
material, but the same print. They look
exactly the same on Amazon on my Amazon
storefront um under home or bedding. I
think home. So uh you can go get them
there. I just got back from Trader Joe's
and I was putting things away and I was
like I have no room. So, let's get
cleaning here. We're going to take
things out and organize them because
there's probably hidden gems back there
I didn't even know about. I'm completely
aware this is not as cute when I do the
bun with the claw clip, but it doesn't
pull at your hair and it's just the most
comfortable for me. And I really find
that my blowout looks so nice still when
I take it out. So, that's why my hair
looks like this. Oh, look at that. A
little Annie's mac and cheese cup.
That's a fun find. I would have been
excited to have that recently. We
freaking did it, you guys. My camera
died, so I had to charge the battery
while I was finishing doing it. But oh
my gosh, I am so happy. It might not
look all done organized to you guys, but
it was piling up. Ryan and I are both
just kind of like throwing things in
there, hoping they won't fall. And now
I'm so happy. So all the way in the
back, that's my little backtock area.
basically like more olive oil,
refillables of the salt and pepper for
our salt and pepper shakers, um extra
hot sauce, whatever. And then here is
like our current olive oil, vinegar,
cooking spray, stuff like that, like
sauces, things. Here is a fun area. I've
got my ramen, mac and cheese, seasoning
I didn't really need to touch. It was
pretty organized. And then back there, I
have Cheezits, chips, banana chips that
Ryan really wanted. Um down here might
seem a little crazy, but for me it's so
good. Ryan and I have found that we like
having this little vase here and in it
have like random essentials we always
grab for. So a lighter, candle wick
trimmer, box cutter, tape measure I
randomly grab a lot. Scissors. So that's
kind of staying as is and I just have it
leaning out. It's just very easy. And
then we have random little tools and
chip clips. I didn't have room for this
basket anymore because I think it used
to be back there. Um and I I kind of
like what's going on back there. So
instead, I layered it on top. But here I
have my teas and then like sugar because
I recently realized that I don't have
sugar here and sometimes we have guests,
they want sugar for coffee. So I just
have a couple there. Honey. And then
back there we have extra water bottles,
stuff like that. And then here's more
pantry. So oatmeal, bagels that I
literally bought today, granola bars,
more random seasoning stuff, cans, and
then straws. And then our oven mitts and
our aprons back there. So I cannot wait
for Ryan to get home. It's just like
those little things that make getting
ready, like making breakfast in the
morning so much easier. Like, wow, that
just looks so much better. Mixed with
this, like this whole area so optimized.
I love it. Speaking of optimized, I set
up a group. So, now all of my Alexa and
all of the apartment will play at the
same time if I want them to, kind of
like Sonos. So, it's playing in here.
It's playing in here. And then now I've
added our one that used to be in the
kitchen in the office. So, now when I
walk in here, I hear my vibe music. It's
so great. The Sugar Bowl's on tonight,
which I'm really sad about because if we
had won last week, we'd be playing in
this game, but whatever. I decided to
pour a glass of veno. We lit the candle
cooking for Ryan and I tonight. We're
doing chicken lettuce cups. Very excited
about it. And yeah, I'm just kind of
waiting for him to get here so I can do
the final touches. I'm just trying to
keep everything warm. Well, you guys,
that is a wrap. My lips, I feel like,
are a little purple from my wine. Dinner
was delicious. because I forgot to film
it. And we still haven't gotten the
Amazon Alexa hung up in the kitchen yet
cuz we're currently watching the Fiesta
Bowl right now and it's just it's a
pretty good game. So, none of that's
happening tonight. But, um you can look
forward to more of these vibes in my
next vlog, I'm sure. Like I feel like
January, like I said, I just really like
to use it to optimize my life, optimize
the apartment, so it sets us up for the
rest of the year. And when Ryan got home
tonight, I gave him a little tour and
showed him all the things I did. He was
like, "Wow."
Um, but I love you guys so much and I
just really appreciate your support. I
get so excited when you guys comment on
my YouTube videos. Like, I can't express
enough like I get so excited about
comments. I get so excited about
Instagram story replies. And I actually
got a lot of Instagram messages this
week like, "I'm dying for a YouTube
video." And I just it meant a lot to me.
So, I know that you guys love the vlogs
and stuff, but since I've obviously just
took a second after Vlogmas, it's nice
to feel missed. So, I hope this video
was everything and more. And I'm just
really grateful for you guys, and I hope
you don't forget it. So, I'll see you
guys in the next one. Bye.
