💛 New Year Reset in Our New House _ Cozy Cleaning _ Decorating Motivation.

Hello everybody. Welcome back to my channel. I'm so excited to have you here today. Like always, if you're not subscribed already, make sure you hit that subscribe button. And if you enjoy this video, please give it a thumbs up today's video. I'm very excited. We're going to be doing my first weekly reset in the new house. And I'm just excited to get kind of a routine together for the reset, as well as just getting everything clean and putting my hands on everything. There's just some stuff I haven't cleaned since we got here and we just made a mess this week. Also, we're preparing for an ice storm that we are expecting tonight. We are under an ice storm warning starting in a couple hours, but we're not expected to get anything until later today. And they are saying that we could lose power for a long time. So while I'm hoping for it the best and hoping that that doesn't happen, we are preparing for the worst. I'm going to kind of show you all some of my preparations for that, as well as like, I can't do like bad weather and a messy house. So we're going to just get the house in order. And that will make me feel a lot better as well as just getting all the preparations together. So I know where everything is, but let me know down below if y'all are expecting this ice storm or snow storm near you, or if you've already gotten some snow and ice. I really hope everybody stays warm this weekend. I hope that you can get some motivation from today's video to get some stuff done around your house, but we're going to go ahead and get right into it. I'm going to give the stove a good scrub down because we've been cooking like hello fresh meals every night. I'll share more about that on Thursday, but they have been so delicious and I've actually been cooking. So there's grease all over the stove and it really needs a good scrub down anyways, because I never cleaned it when we moved in. So let's go ahead and clean the stove. I'm going to use the Scrub Daddy Power Paste. I absolutely love this stuff and it always does a really good job. We're also going to use this in the sink. I'm just going to shine the top with some spray away. Go ahead and throw all these mop heads in the washing machine just on a quick wash before I wash my the rest of my clothes and stuff today. I'm just going to throw like an old towel in there with it. All right, really in here we just got to clean the sink really good and tidy up. I'm going to clean the sink with the Clean Freak Mr. Clean Unstoppable Scent. This smells amazing. All right, we're coming into my office because I refuse to let my office get messy like I did at the last house. So I kind of have stuff scattered out because the storm is coming and then like videos that I have to do. So decor is out a little bit and then of course my desk where I get ready. So I need to pick all this stuff up and I want this room to look spotless and I'm going to vacuum and wipe down the desk in here and just hold myself accountable to keep this room. I pulled some stuff out that we might need. So we got batteries. I've got double A and yeah double A and triple A. So I'm going to go ahead and set these like in the kitchen just in case we need them for the flashlights and then I found this lighter and I found this candle that's pretty big. So I'm going to go ahead and set this out in the kitchen area that way we know where everything is. All right, this bucket here is my Valentine's Day decor which I'm going to be doing very soon in a couple days hopefully be able to film that but I'm going to go ahead and just set this in the closet just to get it off the bed. That just made such a huge difference and it literally only took probably seven minutes to do and everything's put away and in its place and this room is clean. I have to film something in here later so I definitely didn't want a cluttered mess. So now we're going to move on lastly to my room and we're just going to like tidy it up really good and then we're going to start like our last load of laundry. Okay, I got everything laid out here just kind of like to be able to have it all in place. Not everything. I'll take that back. Most things. So we are pretty prepared. We have a lot more food stored away but I just got like crackers and peanut butter. We got some chicken noodle soup. We have some waters. We have a bunch more water in the refrigerator. Probably could have got a little bit more water than this but we will see. The stores didn't really have that many. Also, I ordered some hand warmers off of Amazon because if we don't have our these will be perfect to keep us warm because they typically keep you very warm. I have some batteries. I do have more of these. I got like all the lighters out just so we know where those are as well as the candles. Obviously have way more candles than this but that's just like the start and then my gloves here and then Austin has like his gloves and hats he'll have to get together and then this was like my little ski mask from when I went skiing and I figured this would be perfect if it gets really cold and I can have it like over my face and my nose because typically that's what gets like the coldest for me and then we have this little lantern as well as another flashlight. I'm not sure where it is and then I just put these blankets right here that just got washed and then we have a whole linen closet full of blankets as well as some on the couch and stuff like that. Definitely have plenty of blankets but I just kind of wanted to show y'all what I have laid out and prepared so far for when we lose power. They're just saying that that's a very high possibility that we will lose power for several days so we're just preparing for the worst but hoping for the best so I will let y'all know what happens but it's in my blood to be prepared so we are prepared. We have firewood, fire starters for a fire outside, other things but this is just kind of some of the stuff that I have gathered together. I just wanted to show y'all this but yeah hopefully nothing bad happens. Comment down below if you are also in ice in the winter storm warning.
