🇧🇷 BRA vs. 🇨🇳 CHN - Highlights Week 1 | Men's VNL 2022

11,000 capacity, there's over 10,000 in here. Absolute bedlam. That's a good hit on the outside from Zhang Jingying. They have sets where they're just not on it. They've been slow starters as well but they do grow into matches. That's full-scale defensive work from China as Allen came steaming in on the back side and steaming straight down Main Street is Lucas Satcam. Bruno went inside. Lucas said thank you. How many times have those two combined over the years? Now a response from China. Yes, lovely cross call from Zhang Guanhua. Now he's off to a good start and China stay in control and they'll increase their control off an ace serve this first set. It's such a strong squad for Brazil. There's an overpass now. A chance for Brazil. Oh my goodness me. I mean that sums up this set. There's an overpass. That's a freebie for Brazil. Claw all this back. They got the big hitters out there. Doesn't matter. Inside set. Lee slams it down. Simple as that. They're feeling it. Yu just skies one. Now Brazil looking to level. China need this and they get it. They get it. China trying to get a comfort zone back here. At the business end of this set. It's a nice take. It's a really nice take and Adriano with the cross-court kill off the back of it. Allen winds one up. That's a decent take. Pipe attack is good enough. Zhang serve has Talese scrambling around but he's done enough. Adriano goes for the dipper. Doesn't work. The little dink didn't work. Here comes Zhang and has he got it? No. Looking to level this first set for Brazil who've come back from the brink here. Can they complete the comeback? No. Nice take. Oh my goodness me. The containing block is there. They'll get a second bite of this and Zhang Guanhua takes China to set point. But they're in there trying to get a block. They need something to keep this first set alive. Overpass is it? No. He's done well there Yuan and finished off brilliantly. China stunned the Nielsen-Nelson gymnasium by taking the first set. That's a really nice bit of setting and the finish sublime from Zhang Jingying. From a big player. The push. Yang's got underneath it. Now can they transition? Zhang is blocked. It's containing. Zhang will have another go. Tight angle and that's a beauty. But it's kept alive. Talese has done brilliantly. Pushed over. Allen dig in the backcourt. Great defense. China. Oh no. Did it take a touch? Yes it did. That's why he celebrated. He went straight to the bench and said that's mine. They've given themselves a chance again here. China and they level it up. On the ping serve. Adriano is blocked. Oh China comes storming back. I think they're going to come back from 23-20 down. Zhang does the right thing. The dink in the space. Let's see what Zhang comes up with. He's very creative with his setting. He sends a flat one in. Doesn't really cause too many problems. Adriano doesn't handle it brilliantly and there's the block straight away. Now that is all of Adriano's service reception. Allen and Adriano in the backcourt. The serve is causing some problems. Now can China rescue the situation? Kept up in the air. This for the set. That's a rescue from Zhang. My goodness me. Zhang will take one on. Oh what a rescue in the backcourt for Brazil. That's Adriano. Stunning. It's still going. Yang's kept it alive. Incoming. Pipe attack. Zhang takes us to 24-all. Oh my goodness. What a rally that was. Old class from China as well. That's an outstandingly well played. But still they haven't secured it. Can they do it here? It's picked up nicely in mid-court. That's got to be good and is. Zhang with another one of those cross-court kills of his. Adriano with a perfect take this time and oh where's that gone? Out. Oh that from Lucas. That's a good serve but it's nicely taken and the cross-court kill is executed perfectly. Nice pick up from Zhang. Zhang on third touch. Far too good. Pull it off right here. 29-28. Should come back. Allen's gonna take it on and he gets away with it again. The blocks are there but Allen gets away with it again. Adriano. That's a great take again. The blocks there and it's a double touch is it? No. Yes they have called it. No. Set point again. Yet again. Zhang goes for one. Where's that going? Out and China have a two-set lead against the world number one's Brazil in Brasilia. Stunning. But when you're chasing it's got to be side out of the Bruno serve. Can they get it? Oh my goodness me. And Allen's blocked out of it. There it is right there. Back they come again. Comfortable take. Yeah oh no not gonna get that. Again taking it really high. Looking to break a 19-all tie. This should come straight back. There you go and we know what his serve can do. Really nice take from Yang. They've contained it. Is there a play here? Allen drills it down the line. There is a play. The Lucas serve comes up big time for Brazil again. Brazil two sets down but they finally have control of this third set. Lucas stays on serve. Can they consolidate it even more? Yes they can. The block from Flavio. 22-19. Lucas stays on serve. They need side out. They get it and got it straight back. Can they do it again? Not off that serve surely. Oh you're kidding me. Keep their lead off the timeout. Adriano with the tape should go. They've contained it China. They've contained it. Where does he go? And he sends it to the money man Zhang Jingying. They've done it again. The blocks there again. Incredible. It's unbelievable. China two points from a match. Long, long, long way to go. Can they get one here? Allen's blocked. It's contained. Zhang picked it up beautifully. No angle there but they've managed to contain it. This for match point. Now Brazil it's got to be good from Adriano. Oh and it's long. It's way long. Did it take a touch? They've called it as a block touch. You bet that's going to get challenged. Anything there? Anything there at all? Anything there? Look at those digits. Anything moving? Anything moving at all? It's got to be a good one. Oh it is a good one as well. What a take. That's coming back over and it's going to be hit off. Mike Kay and it is match point. That's simple. Get some height. Get a block. Get the win. A historic win it would be. China at match point against Brazil. Zhang sends it in. An important take from Thales and it's into the net. It's all over. That is one of the stunning results in the history of this competition.
