Welcome to a small garden filled with peace. Today I will share a way to care for orchids at home
using aloe vera leaves and rice water. Simple, natural, and extremely effective.
With just familiar ingredients from the kitchen, you can help orchids grow strong roots,
thick green leaves, and prepare for long-lasting blooms.
This is an orchid grown at a local orchid farm that has not bloomed for a long time,
On the surface, there is a lot of fine dust buildup from inorganic fertilizers,
which not only hinders the photosynthesis process, but also weakens the plant and makes it difficult
to bloom. Moss is often widely used in large farms because they control humidity very well.
When growing orchids at home, to avoid water logging and make care easier,
I keep only about one third of the original amount of moss.
If you love orchids and want to care for them naturally, don't leave this video.
Completely cut off any roots that are damaged, rotten, or no longer able to absorb nutrients.

First, prepare one liter of clean water to make a solution for disinfecting the
roots in the growing medium. Next, add one tablespoon of baking soda to the prepared water.
After mixing, pour this solution in to soak the roots and the growing medium for about 10 minutes.
This helps clean the roots, remove pathogens, and create conditions for the plant to recover
more quickly. And you can use this same solution to wipe the leaves, helping to clean the leaf
surface, remove dirt and pathogens, thereby supporting better photosynthesis. After soaking,
gently remove the orchid, place it in a well-ventilated area to let it drain completely,
and only then proceed with replanting. To make a recovery fertilizer, first I use a fresh aloe vera
leaf. Aloe vera is rich in enzymes, vitamins, and minerals, which help stimulate roots and
restore weak orchids. Add one liter of water to the prepared aloe vera, add five teaspoons of rice,
then let it sit for about one hour so that the nutrients from the rice and aloe vera
gradually dissolve into the water. While waiting for the soaking solution, I take the time to
replant the orchid. After soaking, strain out the residue and use only the liquid.
After straining out the residue, add an additional half liter of water to the solution.
Step one, use the prepared solution to spray evenly over the entire orchid. Spray the solution
evenly on the upper and lower surfaces of the leaves and over all the roots. The mixture of
aloe vera and rice water helps clean the surface of the leaves and roots, remove dirt,
mineral residues, and remaining pathogens, creating better conditions for the orchid to
absorb nutrients. The enzymes and vitamins in aloe vera also stimulate the growth of new roots,
helping the root system become stronger and recover more quickly after being weakened or
damaged. Step two, water this fertilizer mixture directly onto the roots.
Watering the fertilizer mixture made from aloe vera and rice water directly onto the roots helps
provide gentle, easily absorbed nutrients, supporting faster root recovery after damage
or weakening. When the roots begin to recover, the natural enzymes and minerals in the solution
will stimulate the growth of new roots, helping the orchid's root system grow longer,
become healthy and white, and attach better to the growing medium.
Thanks to a healthy root system, the orchid can absorb water and nutrients more efficiently,
helping the plant grow steadily, develop thick green leaves, and build a strong
foundation for future blooming. For weak orchids or those in the recovery stage after watering,
you should wipe off any remaining fertilizer solution. This helps avoid excess moisture
and reduce the risk of rot. If there is any leftover fertilizer mixture, don't throw it away.
You can use it to spray on other healthy orchids. For orchids that are in bloom,
spraying this mixture helps the flowers last longer, keeps the petals firm and beautiful,
and reduces the chance of the flowers wilting quickly, while also helping the plant maintain
its health throughout the blooming period without causing shock or weakening, thereby helping the
plant maintain a stable appearance, bloom evenly, and reduce early flower drop during the flowering
period. And this is the result after two months of recovery. You can see that the orchid has grown
new leaves. The leaves are glossier and have become sturdier than before. Additionally,
the plant has grown a new flower spike, which shows that the orchid has recovered well
and is ready to enter the next blooming stage. New roots have developed strongly and become
thick and plump, while the old roots are firmly attached to the growing medium,
showing that the orchid has recovered steadily. As long as you are patient and follow the steps
correctly, your orchid will gradually recover, become healthy, and be ready to bloom beautifully
again. And gradually, you will have an orchid garden filled with many vibrant blooms,
spreading their colors throughout the space, just like the small garden I have patiently nurtured
day by day. I hope you enjoy this video. If you find it helpful, don't forget to press like and
