The “cleansing” of the center of Kupiansk from Russian military personnel continues. Especially, fighters of the 2nd battalion from101 OBRO GSH conduct a cleanup in Kupiansk. A video of the operation has also been released. During search and strike operations, a Russian group was discovered in the basement of one of the buildings. The fighters established voice contact with the enemy and offered them to surrender with arguments. When the arguments ended, and no one came out of the basement, team of figters was sent into battle. Judging by the fact that they addressed the enemy in English, it can be assumed that a group of mercenaries refused to surrender. This once again confirms that there are mercenaries among the Russians. Recall, the situation in Kupiansk and the surrounding area remains tense: the "cleansing" of the city center is still ongoing, and Russian troops continue their assault. At the same time, the situation in Kupiansk and the Kupiansk-Uzlovy area remains under the full control of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. As spokesman Serhiy Bratchuk noted, despite Russian forces' attempts to create the illusion of capturing the city, their assault groups in the Kupiansk area are trapped, demonstrating the enemy's critical situation. According to Bratchuk, the Ukrainian Armed Forces' operation in this area has been one of the most successful in recent memory. "This operation is perhaps one of the most successful to date," emphasized Sergei Bratchuk. Bratchuk also pointed to the likely nature of the information and psychological operation by the Russian command, which is making statements about captured territories. He emphasized that the situation is completely under Ukrainian control. It is important for Russian audiences to understand that such statements are often propaganda intended to conceal real losses. Andriy Kovalenko stated that Russia may increase pressure on the front in the coming month, indicating a possible increase in enemy activity. Bratchuk noted that the Russian command is disregarding personnel losses, which could indicate significant casualties among their troops. The situation in Kupyansk remains tense, but Ukrainian forces continue to carry out their tasks to ensure the region's security. Control of Kupiansk is of strategic importance for the entire frontline in eastern Ukraine. Holding this stronghold allows the Ukrainian army to tie down significant enemy forces. At the same time, the Russian side appears to be attempting to use information campaigns to create the appearance of success, which could lead to a further escalation of hostilities in this direction.
