Good morning. So today we're gonna go on a food tour in Bangkok
and this is called a chef's tour and it says it comes with 15 tastings and
We're actually in Bangkok's Chinatown for this tour and it's about 11 or it's almost
11 o'clock and it's already kind of heating up
In Thai we call this dish
Kha Moo. Say with me Kha Moo
Okay, you order the right thing
You can have this one right now
Because I teach you how to order this one because after this you're gonna look before this again for sure
The best one from Bangkok Chinatown is here
What ingredients in here how to cook this one and how to eat this one like Thai or Chinese version?
I will show you on the table and this is the mix between Thai and Chinese
Thai mixed meat. They marinate this one for Chinese style
Which we tie her overnight to make the meat and the skin soft and tender and melt in your palate
Time to enjoy chive dumpling. The chive dumpling is still hot and warm
And this one also still hot and warm. We will serve you after chive dumpling
Take the portion over there one portion for two put into your spoon the meat and the liquid and you add this one
Look great. Look this one put into that
And go to it's really tangy
They thought it's really soft
They thought this
That place had the best
It was delicious
The stewed pork
Had a very like tangy type of flavor and it was just so tender
That was so good
Don't know if I liked the green appetizer thingy
It was very the texture was very mushy like it was like cilantro mixed with
Some like a mochi rice type of stuff
If I could taste it, they fried it and I think that
I didn't much care for the flavors of that one and the texture but the pork was delicious
I don't like it. Well, that's okay good. So now we're headed to the next stop
Also, do you want to try some black soy sauce
This is soy sauce topping on a soy sauce ice cream
Eating sauce
It's very good
It sounds like a very weird combination but yeah, it's not right
If I thought if I was thinking about soy sauce ice cream I'd be like
Hi guys and today I'm trying the soy sauce ice cream
With the soy sauce top
Right now they know
From this combination
And it's actually soy sauce ice cream
You can see Michelin
Recommend right here
That they have Michelin
Recommend many many years
And I will show you how the
Friends of Michelin
Recommend with the year the reserve aside like this and Michelin star
Then we have a table and sit down together
triangle noodle
Triangle noodle
And you can touch the texture
Actually, it's like this fast. It almost looks like plastic. It looks like plastic
So I'm gonna let you try it first
And you tell us how it is
Yeah
You like it
Okay, dad's gonna try it now, okay, I'm gonna I don't want to make everybody spicy but I'm gonna make my own
little bit spicy
Whoo, that might be a lot of bit spicy, but we're gonna try it. All right, here we go
Crispy pork is very tender
These noodles
Just melt in your mouth. The chili pepper actually adds a little bit to the flavor. It's not too spicy
All right, then you need to try
Really?
We're trying these crispy pork with triangle noodle
Okay
The broth is really good
Let's try this noodle. This is the triangle noodle
The texture is a lot more tender and fluffy I would say
This is so good, I'm gonna add a little bit of this rice vinegar to this
Let's try it with a little bit of rice vinegar
And see how it goes
Mmm
These noodles are so good
This one was
Highly recommended. It was so good. Mickey had two bowls because he liked it so much
I've never had noodles quite like this where they're just so fluffy and the texture of it is different than a regular noodle
Definitely you have to try this it has
Several it has several Michelin stars and if I don't know if that says anything or not
But to me it does and it's definitely a must try if you can ever find it
I don't think I could find this. What what is this even called?
Honestly, I don't know the name of it. I'm gonna have to just take a picture
It's a welcome dish. This is supposed to be a welcome dish that you eat it with this sauce
Here
Mango with rice you want some rice
The process together the combination all right now, but it's actually
Very unique and the sauce has these little tiny shrimps in it
You don't really taste the shrimp flavor that much in my opinion, it's just all sweetness
Sour mango
One just try one first
Luca wants to try some squid. Yeah, it's gonna be good
Watch your video of you trying it. I want you to explain what it looks like first
Okay, go ahead and try it
A little bit chewy, you gotta chew it really good. Say bye bye squid
Was it good? Is it a thumbs up or a thumbs down?
It's like hot and juicy. The soup is like sweet and sour
It's like it's a the soup broth is like sour like lime
And then this
Squid that's in it. It's very tender
Okay, so we're walking through the
Chinatown here and it's super crowded and
the next stop is going to be something with the curry green curry and
Fermented rice noodle
It's about a 10-minute walk, so we're trying to make our way through the crowd here
Okay, this is our next stop
A lot of locals around here. They will walk this by a little bit man. I'm a portion of us because
How much that is a star of the show from the shop because this place is actually
Netflix show
Bangkok street food tour and this is the green curry with fermented rice noodles
Chicken you have the bones in the chicken still so you have to be careful along with the noodles
It's amazing here you are in Southeast Asia, yeah
Almost like spaghetti noodles, but made with rice. No, they're fermented rice noodle. That's why I said made with rice
It's got a little bit of Thai basil in it a little bit of spice I'm pretty sure this is potato
Never mind
Really
It's very very dry
Sweet right out before but dry it's delicious
This curry place they actually sell
500 dishes a day
So pretty impressive. It's really good
Wow, so what do you think?
Maybe it's so far on me too. So good. Do you want one?
This is a shrimp dumpling
Gonna try this shrimp dumplings right now
Oh
My god
You can definitely hit it
Okay, we are at a chicken sautee stop and after they have my group we're gonna try this
This looks so good
Oh
That is so tender, oh
This is so good. Yeah, this might be the best chicken sautee. It's not chicken. It's pork. Oh, it's pork
Yeah, it's pork. I didn't recognize it as pork either. I thought it was chicken
I thought it was chicken because of how tender it is
They drizzled the top of it while they're cooking it with coconut milk and
Keep it tender and I can actually taste the coconut milk
Coconut cream on the top of it. It has a sweetness to it. It's like
It's like so tender and it has a little bit of sweetness to it
We're kind of inside
Suki
Suki Suki a key we have inspiration by Japanese Suki a key now mean abroad
I'll assume the soup made of hog bone Chinese radish or this one. How about me right here?
or daikon
You guys first ladies first
Once you taste it, it's like okay. I want that second bite. Let's see
Right
Let's see, this has clear clear noodles like sukiyaki noodles
Okay, I'm trying this one is the clear noodle soup
And it also has some daikon radish in it. Oh, that's good
The radish is differently cooked it actually does taste kind of Japanese
It's a light flavor it's not super strong
Okay, so now we're trying this
Chinese Chinese
Donut and this is called hand and custard and you're supposed to dip it in it
Let's try this
Okay
Wow
That is really good you want to try the dipping sauce it's green
Kind of looks like boogers
Do you like it? Yeah, and is it a thumbs up or thumbs down?
Thumbs down
I would say fly right our food tours over and how do you feel stuffed?
It was delicious
There are 16 different types of food. I guess that we ate over the course of four hours
We persevered we're taking home some mango and sticky rice. That was very
soft juicy and
We had a lot of fun and we're excited to
be done
yeah, that was a lot of eating and I
Want to say that we did try a ton of foods that I would never have ordered
That are very different. So I actually think the best thing to do in Bangkok is to take a food tour because it
provides you a lot of insight to the food and
It forces you to try foods that you probably wouldn't have tried on your own. There's no pad thai
So yeah, this tour did not include pad thai, which is good because we can order that anywhere
I'll link below where to take this tour or where to book this tour
