What is up vlog?
It is a Saturday, which means it's another wedding.
Another wedding.
And I got to say, I am pretty excited for today's wedding for Katie and Nick
from planning the playlist, everything.
It's just one of those couples.
Y'all know it as much as I do.
It's one of those couples where the vibe,
the music is right in line with exactly what I love at a wedding,
which means I'm going to have a blast more than likely.
So going to knock on wood there.
We're going to have a great time today.
We got some new speakers, though.
It's probably the thumbnail, honestly.
We're at Windmok today, a venue that I am very fond of.
I love Windmok, even though there is an elevator to load in.
It is an incredibly awesome place to DJ at.
So here in the back right now, Marcellus is doing some work on his booth.
I think he's painting, touching it up or something.
He's got a wedding tomorrow, so he's been doing a lot of overhaul,
getting everything ready for this fall crazy season.
I've been doing the same.
We took my setup up to Atlantic City for DJX.
So I'm getting everything rewired and I'm replacing some of my USB cables
because I've been having a few issues with them, decks dropping out and stuff.
So we're replacing some cables.
But today, Gabriel is here, of course.
What's that for?
I think that's Ralph.
We got both playing CO2 Cannon, IR4s, Maui 5 Go, the Bunn quad pods,
tubes, chroma cannons.
We got the new RCF AX-15 subs paired with the brand new NXL-14 tops.
Pretty cool.
We got photobooth today, too.
All that's over here.
Lowe's gonna be bringing the photobooth.
We have photobooths in-house now.
Yeah, don't think there's anything new to show you guys,
other than the mound of inventory for both lighting.
The lights are off on this side because, you know, it's the weekend,
but we all need some both lighting.
We got it.
And check out the new boxes.
All the boxes are like labeled and sick now.
Making lighting easy, both lighting USA.
If you need it, it's here.
We're all loaded up, people.
Didn't bother to really show you guys, but CO2, we have chroma
cannons, everything there, photobooth stuff in the middle, RCFs in
the front.
Off to the gig.
See you guys there.
We're here.
The backside of Winmauk.
We got Lowe.
We got Loren.
We got Gabe.
We in the building.
And we got gear.
Time to load in through the elevator.
Yeehaw.
We got Loren and Gabe assembling the quad pods.
These are the bun gear quad pods.
We switched over pretty much to only using these instead of the
both lighting tube stands.
These are just, they're beefier.
It's a one-piece design, just works a lot better.
We also sell them.
So if you want to check them out, they're on bothlightingusa.com,
but we are upstairs at Winmauk.
We have the ceremony.
This is where the ceremony is going to take place.
It's a flip room situation, which I always love because it lessens
the logistics when it comes to speakers and stuff like that.
So we're going to love that and we got a photobooth going there.
DJ's eventually going to be here in the middle.
Tubes, uplights, chroma cannons, CO2.
Yeah, see this is a, this is the quad pod design.
Just a little bit more sturdy, a little better to use.
And they have leveling feet too.
So you can adjust the feet to level them out.
Low coming with the photobooth.
We got the bridesmaids in the house.
Katie's up here too.
And we're getting stuff set up.
Getting the tube set up, everything good to go.
Nice.
We're set up for ceremony all ready to go.
Give you a little breakdown of the ceremony.
But again, we're doing a flip room today, which is beautiful
because that allows us to use the reception setup for the ceremony.
And yeah, I just like it.
It's a lot easier.
Photobooth is currently in the corner.
That is our in-house one over there.
I can show you a little bit of that.
But we have the RCF AX 15 subs and XL 14 tops.
Just one of them here to rock the ceremony.
And then when we come back here, we have the audio rack all set up
to run our two lapels for ceremony.
We're like right beside where they're going to be.
So we shouldn't have any issues at all.
I can go through the rack a little bit more in detail, but this is
all going to slide over because this is actually dead center right
here.
So that's where we're going to be eventually.
We're going to move that over during the flip.
We have the other speaker stack right here, ready to go facade, ready
to go cooler with all of our drinks.
Bertha's back there with the tubes all set for later.
And we have all the up lights currently being used in there.
All right.
So it's 30 minutes before the ceremony begins.
Quartet's playing music.
They're in a pause right now, but they're playing music.
We're going to go find the officiant and the groom to mic them up
with our body pack units.
So we're going to go find them, get them all mic'd up, ready to go.
The batteries have already been changed out.
We got fresh batteries in these, and I'm going to take you guys
along.
Little tips and tricks behind the thing.
I got a series of questions.
I typically ask the officiant to go through and talk about some
things.
And I also talked to the groom a little bit about, you know, don't
cough in the mic.
So let's go.
This is the elevator guys.
This is, it's just two floors here.
It's a pretty big elevator, but this is how we get up and down
between upstairs and downstairs.
It's pretty convenient though, because the docks literally right
here, but let's go find the speaker.
Rick.
Brad.
Nice to meet you.
I got a wonderful mic for you.
I'm going to go up here and then we'll go around from there.
Dude, I'm going to bleed through my white shirt now.
So are you going out and make any announcements about phones or
anything beforehand?
That was the plan.
Yeah.
Okay, cool.
So we'll watch for you to come down at the beginning, do that
announcement, and then you're just going to stay up there.
That's the plan?
Yeah.
I don't know the plan yet.
Yeah, I think so.
At the end of the ceremony, you're going to say their names
correct.
Presenting.
They're married.
We're done.
Ceremony's over.
We've been working really, really hard.
Well, Lauren ran the audio for the mics and Milo and Gabe have
just been chilling.
Gabe went to start cocktail music.
We have a speaker downstairs just doing cocktail transition
music because we got to wait on the quartet to get down there.
So he's basically we just got some string music playing.
Take care of that.
And then as soon as they all exit, this is when we're going
to take care of flipping this room and getting our setup ready
to go.
All right, guys.
So Rick is all set up, got up lights all across the room.
Like this is a huge room.
They're all spread out doing final sound checks and we ready
to rock, man.
I'm excited for tonight.
So let's do it.
All right, guys.
We all set up guests are starting to trickle up here.
Let me take you guys through the setup real quick.
First off.
If you look around the room, we have 16 IR far up lights from
both lighting and 12 chroma cannons.
We got burfa as always.
We're running the sound switch program with our diamond 4.0
project.
That's controlling all the lighting including the tubes behind
me.
We got the 360 tubes Pioneer ddjm s7 rain 12 mk2's wireless
pro transmitter HP laptop running Serato DJ Pro and sound
switch audio technical microphones with these these cool
adapters to keep them from turning and then if we come over
here sound tonight, we're rocking RCF all across the board.
We got the new AX 15 subs and the NXL 14 a tops and it is a
kick-ass sound system and then back here in digital world is
where everything is happening.
We got the Allen and Heath CQ 12 for our controls the mics the
drive rack and like I said people are trickling in so I'm going
to let low get back to the photo booth and we're going to have
a good night.
Let's get it.
Good evening.
Ladies and gentlemen family and friends.
Welcome.
Welcome to the reception portion of this evening for Katie and
Nick.
Can I hear it for our new meds out there this evening?
I think you guys can do a little better than that.
Family friends you guys ready to get this party started this
evening?
Are you are you ready to get the party?
Where's my captain to get this party started this evening?
Captains I need you to bring your table up to the biggest
floor and let's open this thing up.
Thank you.
I appreciate it.
I appreciate you guys being on the dance floor all night.
Oh my God.
I know I'm like flooding right now.
I didn't expect those moves either.
Those moves were sick.
Solid solid rock solid.
You saw the footage.
It was epic.
I enjoyed it.
We had a blast.
Yeah, we're going to tear down now and get everything broke
down and I keep hitting these chroma cannons at my feet.
But yeah, you guys want some tips around breaking down one
always have an assistant.
I have two tonight plus low doing photo booth and the first
thing they all know is go collect all of the up lights and
bring them to the dance floor.
Bring all the up lights to the dance floor.
And then at the same time I go ahead and start breaking down
all my electronics and then we start throwing everything in
cases and then cables are typically last.
Yeah.
Oh RCF sound system insane.
Insane just insane.
It's all you need to know.
I've never had the gain that low on my mixer and been that
loud.
So epic.
All right guys, that's everything you saw the time-lapse
one last walkthrough.
So much for tuning in watching all that good stuff.
Be sure to like comment subscribe.
I'll see you guys the next video.
Keep them records spinning guys.
Peace out.
