Hello and welcome back to my YouTube channel I' m Lucy and today I'm in the southwest of France We're staying in a beautiful castle I thought it would be fun to give you a little tour and show you around Let me give you a glimpse inside—it's incredible It' s absolutely beautiful and I don't ever want to leave So let's go inside Welcome warmly to this exquisite entrance hall I was completely overwhelmed when we walked in Down here we have the beautiful dining room with plenty of seating for everyone—your friends your family everyone I was simply overwhelmed by it We know so many people yet it's beautiful and I love the boundary anging on the wall A little bit of me isn't that right This is one of the bedrooms here Are there seven bedrooms Six Seven bedrooms I can't recall There are at least six fully equipped double rooms each with its own bathroom This one is beautiful and offers a fantastic view over the French valley All rooms come with an en suite bathroom And over here you can see the swimming pool Yes there is an outdoor pool but we won't be going in it because it's December and the water is freezing All rooms come with a private bathroom and though it's one of the smallest it's super cute M and everyone has Hello everyone this is me They have all the hand soaps and other items from White Company Yes it smells so good Shall we take a look at the balcony Oh yes because the balcony is beautiful So peaceful and serene I can hear a bird It's wonderful Alright let's go upstairs but no—let's head to the kitchen Let's go to the kitchen I love the kitchen It's so beautiful And we have a beautiful welcome basket And we have some champagne and some white wine Dad has already bought some wine And yes we'll probably get a couple in a few days Oh yes I can imagine M and that's a stunningly beautiful place There's a sweet little window seat here Oh it's so beautiful here I could just sit here and sip my morning coffee I've had my morning coffee I'm here drinking my morning tea Above it's simply breathtaking All these beautiful beams running across the ceiling And they look as if they've been washed with something I'm not sure how they actually managed to do it but they give it that luxurious white open and airy feel I don't know if you're aware John No I don't know I love it This is something I wanted to do at our cottage but I just have this feeling that it wouldn't really work in a proper old English cottage Whereas somewhere like here where you know The exposed brickwork on the wall gives it a very French feel I truly don't know what else to say It's very French It's very open airy and bright in here It's beautiful This is one of the beautiful bedrooms Is this our bedroom Have we chosen this room or not Yes I think we did want it I think we picked this room ourselves and it really has a beautiful view of the pool on the beautiful French countryside where there's no one around I love how remote it is but I prefer it when it's peaceful M and then there's our beautiful bathroom here Yes it's very similar to what we saw below though slightly larger M all these beautiful beds Beautiful ceilings just the lighting Everything was made to an exceptionally high standard The bedside lamps it's M it's beautiful I love it Do you like it Oh it's so lovely Also in this room watch your head when you come in Yes good grief I haven't even gotten there yet But I didn't run off just to come in here I just left They said there wasn't much up here but I'll just go up and take a look Oh these are those odd steps you have inside there No there isn't much up there—literally just storage space Another stunning room with something I can only describe as a wardrobe from Narnia I could literally walk in here and no one would know where I am Oh playing hide-and-seek with my brother M this room is breathtaking too Even more beautiful views My parents are outside taking a short walk M it's breathtaking We're now down in something I'd really describe as a kind of countertop or the space at feeling you get after swimming in a pool during summer because there's obviously a swimming pool there And that's basically down in the shadow of a farmhouse I'm not really sure how to describe this place It's simply beautiful If we keep going this way we'll reach the laundry room which is an extremely useful space if you have a two-year-old child like me And in here if we had older children than we do a two-year-old wouldn't naturally stay down here alone But you know if you had five- six- or seven-year-olds isn't that absolutely fantastic especially for things like sleepovers You know we could do this together as a whole family couldn't we Well we're doing it together as a whole family But it could also be done with older children I really just wanted to say Do I look French I don't think that would fit in our living room back home We'd have trouble with it Oh my goodness Well we can't go in there because it's the owners' private wine collection and the owners are Canadians Um and everything's wrapped up But in there is the craziest wine merchant I've ever seen in a private home at you can rent as a vacation apartment They said you can go in there and do wine tastings and things like that If we ever decide to do it we can certainly do so But I can't imagine trying to manage it with three little children running around But it's absolutely beautiful Wouldn't you die for something like that in your home huh I'm a little jealous— it's truly stunning It reminds me a little of John whom I once watched but we never really saw it properly We drove to Wales to view a few properties because weren't sure where we wanted to move And one of them was in Wales It was like a little shadow It looked genuinely French didn't it And she has something in the basement area outdoors that's not unlike this one M the property was available for 300 000 That wasn't exactly a fortune for a high-end property But she was in Wales which is really far from our family that's the only problem and much cheaper And much cheaper yes If it had been a Cotswold Well I' d say you'd probably be paying over a million Let's go Also we're now outside and showing you the swimming pool It's freezing cold right now I touched it a little while ago I won't touch him anymore because he's so cold But I can imagine he must look fantastic in the summer I don't think I'd leave this area all day I'm pretty sure you wouldn't do that either would you John That would be nice yes Yes I'd love to teach Tabitha to bring us tea and cocktails Yes yes M and over there is the house you can see in the distance That's the house we've just been looking at M and I think we should just take a little walk around the area and see what we can find Alright You and I go all out and you aim a throw in that direction while I toss the dart Oh I'm faking it so it looks like you're hitting the mark every time So I've got three target issues Well that was a triple minus 13 so it's fine That was terrible John Poor thing Nine Hmm I can't say I know Triple Five Yeah Cool
